This Bungalow has a Queen bed in the bedroom sleeps 2 guests and a futon bed in the living room sleeps 2 guests. The living and dining areas are comfortably furnished. Like all our pieces of paradise, Bay front Bungalow has a very well equipped kitchen, all linens including sheets and towels, telephone with answering machine and a stereo system. there's a Satellite TV, VCR videos. The kitchen is supplied with every need for your dining pleasure and convenience. There's a washer, dryer and dishwasher all on one ground level.

Lounging in the warm Geo thermally heated springs is a popular pastime in Kapoho. One of the famous Ponds called Champagne Pond in Kapoho, which can be accessed and enjoyed from our property. You will be able to snorkel and see tropical fish and Sea Turtles. For a day trip, head to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park Take a peak at an explosion captured on film in the Kilauea Visitor's Center. Head down the Chain of Craters Road and look for flowing lava. and explore the Thurston Lava Tube, the fern forests, and the other natural phenomena of the area. About One Hour Drive. Lava Tree State Park: Restaurants and Super Market in Pahoa Town 10 min Drive from the Home. Area attractions include, swimming, scuba diving, spelunking, fishing, restaurants, reefs, surfing, snorkeling. National Volcanoes Park is about 1 hour away. Akaka Falls 40 min Drive. Lava Flow watching 30 min. Steam Venting Natural Sauna 15 min Drive. Tide Pools and Best Coral viewing by snorkeling 5 min Drive in Vacationland. |

As a group we had a wonderful Hawaiian vacation enjoying the two homes we rented from your Kapoho group. The smaller family bungalow caused a setback to our collective psyche when it was broken into and personal ID, money & rental car keys were stolen. For this reason the one item that we would recommend for future use would be the development of a security safe for each home. We're thinking of something small that can be bolted to the floor of a inner closet, yet big enough to hold wallets, funds and jewelry. The most important fact for tourists to remember is to limit carrying such items; nevertheless, security is important, and the warm, humid nights could be enjoyed without feeling that all windows and doors needed to be shut.
We were very impressed with the response of the local police. They were very thorough and respectful.
The larger number of our group stayed at the 4 bedroom unit 14-5000. We had a lovely time in the lagoon. We had with us two developmentally challenged individuals and one older woman suffering from Radical Airway Disorder. The lagoon and the open Lanai provided a wonderful opportunity for these folks to enjoy the special aspects of a tropical adventure while staying within the limits of their personal strengths.
The daily newspaper was a very nice touch. We all enjoyed reading it. The kitchen was stocked well with dishware, and cooking ware to assist in our communal cooking. Pahoa was a wonderful town fairly close, with a fabulous health food shop that helped us with supplies for our daughter who follows a therapeutic diet as a treatment for Autism. The bookshop and restaurants in Pahoa were also very pleasant to patronize. The Melama grocery store was another food shop that we used and enjoyed. Driving to the many family oriented sites,i.e., Zoo, Hilo parks, Wednesday & Sunday Farmer's market, Volcano National Park, The Hilo waterfront & shopping made shopping and touring educational and fun and reasonable. I'm afraid we're all addicted to Shave-Ice now. Lychee, Coconut & Mango flavors are the best!
Most especially we would like to thank Sophia & Muhammed for coming to our assitance so quickly when the airlines bumped us from our arranged return flight on October 13th. Fortunately George found several rooms in the Hilo Seaside Hotel that enabled us to reach the airport at an early time the following day. We do not have anything positive to share with you regarding the treatment of 'Go' Airlines. They were very difficult and problematic to deal with.
We would not hesitate to use your facilities again. We had such a nice time, that we are creating a savings account to prepare for another trip to the Big Isle. We will certainly be in touch. Our daughter loved every bit of your lovely lagoon home. The many swimming aids were greatly appreciated. Aloha, and most especially Mahalo from all of us.
PS: Thank you for the basic cleaning supplies and bathroom supplies. We loved having a laundry facility available both upstairs and down. We had four families within our group, and the layout of the lagoon home easily met all of our needs while offering us sufficient space to not get into each other's way. The landscaping was spectacular. Your site visually provided us with what we imagined a vacation in a tropical paradise should be! Thank you for your many kindnesses that helped us have a wonderful experience. Our favorite restaurant was Luquin's Mexican restaurant & the Health Food Store's mid-day hot buffet.
