The community is located on a rare lagoon with a sandy beach known for being safe for children, and which is usable year-round. (Other beaches are sometimes unusable because the sand washes offshore in the winter.) Kona Bay Estates is adjacent to community tennis courts, soccer fields, and the public gymnasium with a large pool.Close to town, but so private! Pacific Rim style architecture has been sculptured into this unique oceanfront setting. 4 bedrooms, 4.5 baths on five levels of elegant living, each with decks and lanais overlooking a white sand beach and lagoon. Teak trimmed slate staircase leads to the Media Room and Master Bedroom Suite with built-in amenities, a bathroom with marble & solid koa cabinets, walk-in closets and large covered lanais. The Gourmet Kitchen has inlaid granite, solid koa wood cabinets, commercial grade cook top and top of the line appliances.Lush tropical gardens surround this beachfront residence. Fabulous large lagoon swimming pool with waterfalls meanders in and out of the living area. Incredible Romantic Ambiance. There is a separate detached guest apartment complete with living area, kitchenette, and marbled bathroom. Quiet peaceful setting within walking distance to shopping and down town Kailua Kona. 3 Night Mimimum Stay / 10 During Christmas & Ironman Season. This is a non-smoking home.

Rates

Starting from $1,125.00 per night. 50% down to hold a reservation. Balance due 100 days before check-in. $2,500.00 security deposit. $416.67 cleaning fee. Depending on dates of booking, additional fees may apply. 4% processing fee. Listed rates do not include tax. Holiday and peak season rates and required length of stay may be different than quoted above. Credit cards, cash, checks and wire transfers accepted. Minimum night stay varies amongst the various rental units. Many rentals have 30-night minimums.

Beautiful house, would stay there again

This house was in the perfect location for relaxation and fun. Short walk to town, amazing views, sounds of waves at night and perfect location on the beach and lagoon. Loved the ability to have numerous places to sit and relax, as well as the openness of the home in general. Sound system completed the ambience. Ideal spaciousness and separation for numerous couples. The pool with waterfall was wonderful. The only drawbacks are minor wear and tear issues. Enjoyed snorkelling at Kuahala Beach (rent snorkel gear right across street), boogie boarding at Kua Beach (by the Four Seasons) and deep sea fishing with The Nightrunner Fishing. Can use the facilities at the Hilton Waikiloa for a fee and enjoy all they have to offer. Enjoyed alot of time just walking on the beach and enjoying the lagoon right in the backyard. Beware that spiders were prevalent in the area and vegetation around the pool. Overall, would recommend this home for two families with kids (not too young due to lots of steps) or multiple couples without kids. We would consider coming back, since it was the most relaxing vacation we have had. Used to be sold only on Maui but this made us a believer in the beauty of Kona!

Fabulous location! Love the ability to walk to town yet have total privacy from neighbors & a very special beach/lagoon in front. House & pool have marvelous design with ease/comfort for multiple people to have their own space.
