Hello, the house that we rented was amazing, the outside area near the pool was where we spent most of our time, so I would have to say that was the best part. Customer service was good, house was well stocked with items we needed. Sercurity guards at the gate were very helpful and friendly. Our trip was great the whole time we where there so I cant really say what was the best part. " The whole trip" Best restaurant would have to be BUBBA GUMMP, what an amazing, friendly place, with great food and service. The adive I would give to someone who wanted to stay at the house, would be. " Sit, eat, drink and enjoy the peace and quite this house brings." Thanks to everyone who made our holiday one to remember, thanks to all the locals, you guys are lovely people, kind and friendly, you made us feel welcomed.

The light house is an amazing house! It was better than expected and it made our vacation that much better. It has everything you can possibly need for a comfortable stay... - Towels -- LOTS AND LOTS of towels including beach towels - Extra bed sheets, comforters, blankets, etc - Fully stocked kitchen with everything other than perishables - Soaps, detergent, dish washing liquid, shampoo/conditioner, etc - The owner had also provided us with a full binder with things to know about the house, the area, emergency services, things to see, and numbers to call. - board games and books - BBQ grill was clean and ready to go with all the tools required for a great a barbeque We were a total of 8 people and we enjoyed every bit of the house. There was a small private beach just 2-3 mins walking distance. The community is gated with a security guard patrolling 24/7. The house has plenty of fans and windows creating lots of ventilation. In short, the light house description and pictures do not do it justice. RECOMMENDED FOR EVERYONE!

The unit was spacious and clean and well equipped for our needs. We did not require any special service. I have already told friends about the accommodation we enjoyed. I am considering taking my family to the same place next year. We loved the Kona Brewery Restaurant although it is hard to see even the menu because it is so dark in there although they did provide flashlights. The food is good and good value. A luau is a "must" event for anyone holidaying in Hawaii; even the children loved it. The fresh flower arrangement that greeted us at the home was a lovely, welcoming surprise, thank you. The house size was perfect for the 8 of us. The pillows and beds could be upgraded for more comfort. the lights from the baseball field behind the house were annoying, along with the noise. Pool could be heated for much more enjoyment. Location was perfect,

All the beds were new in 2006, and pillows are replaced often with different firmness. First time we have ever heard this about the beds. The baseball field behind the house does not have lights. There are lights far away at another part of the park. You may heard some noise from the games on the week ends while the season is on.. We do offer the pool to be heated as a option. They asked for air conditioning so we turned on the a/c. When people come to Hawaii you want to have the ocean breezes, so why come to shut the house up. The owners and most all the other guests do not ever put the a/c on. This is a fabulous 5000 sq. ft. home with a great location for a inexpensive price.

The house is nice and just a 15-20min walk to Ali'i Drive. The main floor bedroom doesn't have the best ventilation and there's no shower or bathtub for it, so whoever uses it has to shower downstairs or upstairs. The pool never sees the sun, so is great for "ice baths" after long bike rides or runs. Plenty of towels and a few basic supplies made the house "move-in" ready. The place has wi-fi, which is great and AC is available (for an additional) cost if you want it...but you don't really need it. We had a great time and look forward to visitin Kona again. There appeared to a lot more guests than registered. Our homes are stocked with everything, and then extras. I personally checked, as we also have excellent cleaners who leave more supplies than what a normal stay would use. So to say there were a few basic supplies is false. The pantry is also full of spices sugars, teas, flour, can soda, mixes and more. There were three cars, ( for only 3 people? ) and they even parked on our nice lawn.. When we went up to tell them to move off, we noticed the stairs to the home were covered in sand. We asked them to please use the hose right by the entry to wash off before going into the home. Home has a garage and parking for 4 cars without being on the lawn. The stairs were just painted, and someone spilled something that will require us to repaint that area. We are not asking to be compensated for this, just letting you know. A women staying there called me the day before for late check-out. I gave them 3 extra hours. The home has 4 bedrooms and 3.5 baths. There were 3 bedrooms upstairs, and two full baths there. Why was someone in the main floor one which has only a half bath if there were just 3 guests? There is also another full bath just a few steps down to the extra living area. The owners never have air on, and they called us at 10:30 at night when they arrived to say they wanted air. The next day we went over to turn on the air and they changed their minds. We offer a/c as an option as 90% never feel a need for it. This is Hawaii you want to leave all the doors and windows open for the breezes. Plus it is expensive to run for this 4000 sq. ft plus home, when doors are left open. All the last guest there swim in the pool, and we have a heater if it is too cold for you. The Keiki beach is just a 3 minute walk across the private road. This is a fabulous home. We do want to make all guests who stay here have a good experience.

Hello, We loved the home we stayed in. It was perfect for 9 people. We also liked how accessible everything was from this location, walks on the beach, walks into Kona, shopping and the hwy to leave the city. The home was clean and well cared for. My only complaint would have been the construction next door which started at 7 am every day except Sunday. We were in bed early and up early but it would have been nice to have a choice sometimes as it was quite noisy. We realize this is beyond your control. Maybe an 8 am start would have been nice but for workers we realize it is cooler earlier. We had concerns over the shower floor in the master bedroom as the water never drained properly and sat in the doorway. We mopped the water up as it concerned us. Otherwise we loved the house, the big island and had a wonderful trip. I would recommend the home and the place to anyone. Thank you Barb Munro

Drain is fixed on master shower. Never heard from them that it was a problem Construction is done on home across the street.
