The Resort: Kulalani guests enjoy 2 lovely, refreshing pool areas, one with a natural free-form pool with relaxing rock scape and the other with a traditional lap pool. The Great Lawn area is ideal for getting together with family and/or friends in private cabanas or perhaps in the reservations-only Pavilions with private kitchen. You're also welcome to take advantage of the Kulalani's modern exercise and weight facility with private restrooms, as well as the members-only Mauna Lani Sports & Fitness Club and the private Mauna Lani Beach Club and the Mauna Lani Spa.
Activities: Golfers will be stunned by the picturesque North Course outside our back door, where you will have advance booking privileges and preferential tee times. Another championship course is steps away. Sun, sand and sea lovers will gravitate toward the world-class white, black and green beaches within a short 5- to 10-minute walk, perfect for swimming, snorkeling, snuba, scuba or just tanning. Biker, hikers, joggers and walkers can discover miles of trails winding through nearby ancient Hawaiian fish ponds. Adventuresome types can explore the majestic Kilauea Volcano, swim with the dolphins, watch for whales, or take advantage of the neighboring fishing holes, waterfalls, rain forests and horse farms. Those who would rather shop and dine are steps away from the island's most upscale collection of boutiques and eateries, including Ruth's Chris steakhouse, Tommy Bahama store and restaurant, and even Starbucks.
Special Access: Guests at our Kulalani town home are welcome at The Mauna Lani Sports and Fitness Club, which features a lap pool, 6 tennis courts, a state-of-the art gym and a steam room. On staff are personal trainers, nutritionists, professional tennis coaches and private yoga and Pilates instructors. The private Mauna Lani Beach Club boasts one of the best beaches on the Big Island, and fine dining and cocktails at The Beach Club Restaurant and Bar. We went to beaches mostly, but the one day spent at the beautiful & new pool was excellent.
The best restaurant we went to was BY FAR, Bamboo in Hawi.
I took my family all arounf the Island to see everything possible and they all thoroughly enjoyed it. There were no problems whatsoever.
