This fabulous home was absolutely beyond amazing. It's gracious rooms and open floor plan make it so perfect for a family vacation spot. The entire back of the house opens up to your private pool and the ocean, where surfer watching and whale sightings rule. The owners have thought of every detail: the grill was stocked, serving pieces galore, fabulous beds, binoculars, bikes, scuba equipment, you will need to rent nothing. The location was walk to everything, which we loved. Also, the access to other towns and sights was great. I forgot to mention the movie theater and wii, which was so much for the kids at night. Mary, the house manager, doesnt miss a beat. And is extremely attentive. Cannot rave enough!

House Design
A short drive from the privacy gate, via a roundabout, brings you to the circular drive fronting this home. A trellised entrance with tropical plantings leads to a massive front door encircled by sidelights and clerestory windows. Entering the Great Room, youll find the 12-foot ceilings and understated dcor of tile, mahogany and marble with subtle colors that run throughout the home. A graceful curved ceiling and exposed-beam peaked tray ceiling define dining and sitting areas. Family television area, beverage bar, and kitchen/breakfast bar complete this room. The entire front of the Great Room is opened by motorized glass pocket doors, leading to the great outdoors: lanai, infinity pool and spa tub, koi pond and waterfall, trellis and suspended wooden walkways to the private tea house, andof coursethe ocean.
One of the highlights of this home is the second-story Whale Watch Tower, an intimate space constructed for privacy as well as spectacular views. With a bar and small refrigerator, table and chairs, youll enjoy small parties here. Or, with a full-size punee (daybed), youll enjoy an afternoon nap or an evening of stargazing.
A hallway from the Great Room, where youll find an inset wall display with a large glass sculpture of a sailboat, leads to the Master Bedroom suite. Sliding-glass doors along two walls lead to the lanai and ensure terrific views.
