Waikoloa Beach Villas G2
Our only complaints, which are very minor, are that we had to put the sheets on one of the beds and there was a light bulb burned out in the master bath.

Our only complaints, which are very minor, are that we had to put the sheets on one of the beds and there was a light bulb burned out in the master bath.
We loved the view, watching the waves crashing, dolphins frolicking from the deck. Spectacular sunsets! Customer service was great. Did not have a greeter at the house, which we have enjoyed when renting apartments and houses in other parts of the world. But it worked out OK. The upstairs bath (not master) needs work. The bath does not drain and faucet is very touchy, little water pressure with warm/hot water. Plenty of pressure with cold water. The best part of our trip...the house! Volcanoes Park! Submarine ride! Hula Girl Coffee tour/tasting! Bite Me Fish Market at the marina, Place of Refuge (Don't miss it!). Best Restaurant...fresh Monchong (from Bite Me) on our grill at the house! Otherwise loved Huggos On the Rocks I wish I had more time to explore the eastern part of the Island. Hard to do from Kona, but wouldn't have missed this house for anything. We loved it.
The house was perfect for myself, my wife and our 1 year old son. The koi pond was a bit of a challenge for the 1 year old, but we managed to gate it off. The location was great, a few minutes walk to 2 different beaches. One for snorkeling and the other for boogie boards and body surfing. There are both boogie boards, beach mats, and snorkel gear at the rental and this was great. The TV's were a challenge and we could not get either DVD to work. Not a big issue for us. The wireless internet was great to have as well. Best insider tip for Kona, is to visit the small town of Honolola, about 20 minutes up the hill from Kona. Have lunch or dinner at the Garden Restaurant (beside the coffee shop), the best meal we had in all Hawaii and very reasonable.
The Hibiscus Hale home on the Big Island was perfect for our family. The pool and yard were clean and well maintained. We especially loved the fact that the downstairs was large enough for our kids to have their "own" space. We will definitely come back in the future! Mahalo. To future guests...bring a knife sharpener if you plan on cooking. We easily refilled the propane and bar-b-que'd almost every night. With all the wonderful fresh fish at the local markets - who could resist? Aloha & see you soon.
E-32 was literally like a "home away from home," and it served as a comfortable, convenient base from which to explore the whole island. As we had a visiting grandmother with us, the extra bedroom really came in handy. Our kids loved the pool as well as the big screen TV. While we ate dinner at restaurants about half of the time, we did use the kitchen for a few dinners and shared breakfast together each morning. While fairly mundane, the washer/dryer was very convenient. I would highly recommend E-32 to friends visiting Hawaii.
White house is in front of this rental! Not "on" the water.
The uniit had everything you would need for the week. It was in excellent condition. The location was very good. The water pressure in the kitchen sink wasn't good, and if this was correctable we should have been told about it before we arrived. It should also be clearer what floor the unit is on in the building. We had no idea it was on the third floor until we arrived. Tips for future travelers: 1. Shop at the market in Waikoloa Village as it is cheaper and not that far away. 2. The swim with the dolphin trip was worth every penny. 3. The Kona Brewing Company was excellent as was Merriman's Market Cafe.
The Waikoloa Beach Villas rental unit K-2 was just great. We had booked at a B&B by Kona which was very nice but when we arrived at this unit our thoughts were "Why did we ever spend more money and rent the B&B when we could have been staying here all along?" This unit is only a few years old and is very clean and well maintained. The kitchen has granite countertops and top of the line appliances as well as all the utensils etc that one would need. Baths are also granite countertopped and very nice too. This unit has AC so that's a good thing as well. Customer service is absolutely great. If there is a problem it's looked after immediately. They had forgotten to turn the water heater on the first day and so our shower's were a bit cool (but refreshing). The rental agency phoned the following day to make sure everything was good. We told them the hot water wasn't very hot and they were a bit embarrassed about it and apologized profusely. They allowed us to check out later on our check-out day because of the inconvenience. This unit is ground floor and looks out onto the fairway. It's a 2 minute walk to the Queen's and King's shopping malls but far enough away that it is still private and quiet. Waikoloa resort is very big with many hotels/time-shares/rental units as well as privately owned units too so there is quite a bit to see/do. The beach is a 20 minute walk but it's easier to just load the beach chairs which are in the garage into your vehicle and drive. Fairly nice beach with sand and some rock so snorkling is good. Lots of trees also at the beach so there is some shade as well. Since it's easier to drive to the beach you may want to check out the Hapuna state park beach about a 5-10 minute drive to the north on the main hiway ... follow the signs. Absolutely wonderful beach. Nothing but fine sand, clear water and some trees. And it's huge! Can't wait to go back. We'll certainly see if we can rent there again. Mahola
we had a very nice time in your appartement. but we think for $ 200.00 departure cleaning should be included the washing from towels and bed linen.
the unit was fantastic, exceptionally furnished and offering anythig you can imagine!!!!! The beach is very good too, you can easyly see a lot of sea turtles ... I strongly recommend this rental and I thank you for the suggestion !
Great location. The house was very nicely furnished and met all of our needs. Kenichi Pacific was the best restaurant we tried. We also liked Jamesons by the Sea, recommended by Paul. The observatory tours (Mauna Kea Summit Adventures) was worth every penny. Paul was a good host and offered good suggestions.
It was clean and very well furnished. Large size and two full bathrooms/bedrooms made it great for a family of 4. Would definitely stay there again.
The unit was very clean, comfortable and very conveniently located. I would definitively recommend!
Dinner at the Kona Inn is well worth the drive into town. Mauna Kea Beach resort had the best beach and snorkeling combo.
Great home with a incredible view!!! The pool and hot tub are acually built in the ocean! We sat and enjoyed all of it and saw dolphins, whales, and turtles from the porch every day. We fed 4 different Morey eels daily, and acually named them all. I would come back to this house!! Highly recomended.
We weren't thrilled with Kona, preferred Kauai or Maui or Molokai for future trips but if you are going to Kona, this is the ONLY place to stay. The decor was great. We felt home and relaxed at the same time. THe best beach in all of Kona is 5 mintues away. The pool and hot tub and 50 feet away. The view of the golf course is nothing but peaceful, but when you see the sunset in your bedroom window, it's glorious. And the owners were gems to work with. Extremely helpful people. Guided us to Costco and gave us their personal should any problems arise. The rental agent forgot to give us the lockbox code but Sam and Tony were on it with all the instruvtions we needed. Our only wish, if we had one, was that this condo was on Kauai so we could use it again.
The E-32 has worked out great for our family of 5. The unit is well maintained, tastefully decorated, and feels like a home away from home. My mom loves the master bathroom and the spacious closet. My dad loves the giant LCD TV in the living room. It was nice to have a kitchen with clean pots, plates, glasses, and silverware so we can make simple breakfast. The check in/check out process also worked really well. Lastly I found it to be very convenient to get in and out quickly. My brother stayed at the Hilton Waikoloa and it takes 10 minutes to walk from the parking lot to the hotel lobby, then it takes another 10 minutes to get to the room. The only surprise was that we need to take the trash out and start a load of laundry of the towels when we leave. It would be nice to learn about it up front on the web site. Despite this small surprise, I highly recommend the E-32 unit to other people who is looking for a place to stay in the area.
We had a great time. Excellent condo with everything that we were looking for. Easy walk to the beach (that has great snorkeling) and lots of space in a beautifully maintained and modern property.
Overall we had a good time. The swimming pool does need to be cleaned more frequently. For the 7 days we were there, no one came to clean it. thanks
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Ginger House! We loved the openess and the many sliding doors exiting to the pool or the lanais. The customer service was excellent! We would have loved to have four chaise lounges there, instead of the two provided for us. We bought two additional ones at Kmart and left them there. The house was amazing and furnished in the Hawaiian theme which was fun. Our only complaint was the two bedrooms on each side of the stairs with the open space. The blinds were nice, but these two bedrooms didn't give the occupants any privacy. We had a fabulous time and loved the proximetry of the beach and lagoon, directly across the street. Thanks for a wonderful and restful family vacation! The Kellys
I loved the fact that I didn't have to buy alot of things because they were provided for us. There were high end appliances and everything I needed to make my own meals was there. Location was great, good grocery store nearby. The beach was within walking distance and I could watch whales everyday. I wouldn't hesitate to rent again. This place had everything!
We had a fantastic time at this house. It was everything we had hoped for in our vacation lodging. The house was clean, well kept, and very very well stocked with everything we needed as a family vacation, but could not take with us on the aircraft: beach towels, beach mats, sun umbrella, kids sand toys, etc. Bring your own soap and shampoo.... The beds were fantastic...better than ours at home unfortunately - and the kitchen very well equipped, including a stock of spices and other non-perishables. What we needed we bought locally. We purchased our food at the Sack and Save, and joined their "shopping club". It saved about 30% on our grocery bill, and cost nothing. The place is about 10 miles away from the Kona airport, in a quiet residential neighborhood. Even at night, the house was easy to find on our first arrival, and we had no difficuties with getting in. We never saw anyone else on the street, but it was a nice neighborhood nonetheless. The view from the back deck was beautiful at sunset, but the only way to see the ocean was from the crow's nest office room, up on the very top pf the house. To call this a 'partial ocean view" is a bit of a stretch, but I would not consider it a negative against the listing. Enjoy!
What I liked best about the unit I rented wasthe easy access to the ocean for swimming and snorkeling. The best restaurant I found was our own kitchen--fresh ahi from Safeway, pineapple and papaya, green salad. My advice to someone else staying at this unit would bebring your loved ones and enjoy the lanaii at night--beautiful views and ocean sounds.
The thing I liked best about the unit was that it was clean, beautiful and conveniently located. The pool was beautiful, private and well maintained. The rental agent was friendly, very willing to share her knowledge about the Island and willing to offer any concierge serves that we would wish to have. The best restaurant was Huggo's in Kona. My favorite part of the trip was the day we drove to Hilo and then on to the volcano. It was interesting and fun. I also enjoyed lazy days at the beach. There were a few things about the unit that kept me from marking excellent. The fan in the guest bath does not work. So it gets pretty steamy in there when you shower. Also the mattress in the master must have been slept on by a very large person on one side, as there is a bit of a crater in the mattress. Three minor things: 1) not enough bath soap was provided; 2) not enough toilet paper was provided; 3) we didn't mind washing the sheets and towels before we left, but the laundry detergent container that was left for us was empty. The unit itself was beautiful. The furniture was very comfortable. It was wonderful having the convenience of a condo with a full kitchen and a washer/dryer. We enjoyed having pupus on the deck. The location was everything we could hope for. I would recommend booking through you to any of my friends and I would definitely book with you again. We had a wonderful stay and it was over much too quickly. Thank you for asking for our input.
The accommodation is excellent for a family or up to 8 people. Although not new, it provides the space and atmosphere for an excellent vacation. The warm lava ponds are an excellent attraction; and, stepping out of the back deck and walking into one of the ponds is extremely inviting and pleasurable. Also, the people around supporting the guests are very friendly and helpful in making your visit an excellent one.
We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the condo. We rented sight-unseen from the internet - you never know what you're going to get. We loved the condo! The view from the lanai was spectacular with a wonderful ocean view and we were able to see whales playing in the bay just to our north as well as Maui in the background. Out the back of the condo, we had amazing views of Mauna Kea and sometimes even Mauna Loa. Just across the road was the ocean access. We saw many turtles lounging on the lava rocks and swimming in the shallows. At the end of the road (about a mile) was a lovely public beach access that would be a great place to spend the day with the kids playing in the water. The condo is located about 30 minutes north of the airport and 35-40 minutes north of Kona itself. There are plenty of amenities nearby if you choose not to drive all the way into Kona. The condo itself was very clean and well-maintained. The grounds and pool were in exceptionally good shape, especially considering the building was built some 30+ years ago. It was quiet and well-maintained. All the amenities as listed in the rental agreement were in good working condition. We'll definitely be renting this condo the next time we're on the Big Island!
The golf villas were great, especially for a family group such as ours. The service we received from all was timely and efficient. The unit was very well equipped and it really felt like home. We spent a lot of time on the beach with our grandsons as it was perfect for "little ones". The only thing I missed was a view of the sunset-it would have been nice to be able to see them.
The Kona View House was fantastic! It was genuinely a home away from home. It was tastefully decorated with nice linens and beautiful towels. The kitchen was well equipped, it even had plastic containers for left-overs, fancy glasses for wine and cocktails as well as gourmet quality knives. The wireless internet was great, as we all had to bring laptops to do little bits of correspondance or email and the kids had homework. On one occasion we plugged a laptop into the printer, as it had a USB port. Everything else was as described - it was very close to two beaches and it was oceanfront. Don't laugh about the oceanfront. I once rented an oceanfront home that turned out to be on top of a cliff and it was a 20 minute walk to get down to the water. We had to walk down the block then along a switchback trail to get to the water that was 3 stories below the house.
The unit was large enuf for the 6 of us, it was clean and modern and very comfortable, and the owners were very reasonable when discussing the crazy refrigerator. NOTE: It broke completely down the day before we left, then was up & running OK the morning we departed. We went to beaches mostly, but the one day spent at the beautiful & new pool was excellent. The best restaurant we went to was BY FAR, Bamboo in Hawi. I took my family all arounf the Island to see everything possible and they all thoroughly enjoyed it. There were no problems whatsoever. Bob Argentino
Aloha! Thanks so much for a wonderful stay at Hula Cove. We loved the snorkeling there and the sunrises over the tidal pools were the best. Having the washer/dryer available was a great plus. We would highly recommend the evening drive out to watch the volcano - it's an easy drive from Hula Cove and it was worth every bit of time. My wife and I will recommend this place to our friends and we would LOVE to come back. Thanks again for your good help! Tom Roe
The view was stunning, the house just beautiful. very spacious, ideal for my family and I to enjoy my fathers 60th birthday. Kona itself was a little dead, and all restaurants were shut by 9pm. we spent most of the week enjoying oursleves on the premises with bbq's and glasses of wine. the weather is something i would like to have been told about. It was always beautiful in the mornings, but by early afternoon a type of volcanic ash fog had built up all over the island. Every evening we had strong down pours, which could last a few hours, then morning was gorgeous again. We also took a plane ride around the island and i would strongly reccommend that. It gave a great insight to the entire island, a fantastic view of the volcano and a great all round impression of "Big Island" itself. Money well spent. all in all i really could not fault the house. the tv would not work for us, and a cable guy had to come out mid week and the sound system was faulty, but the standard of accomodation was second to none. i would definitely return to this house without a seconds thought. It is a great way to switch off watch the pacific and relax to a sunset in the heated jacuzzi! We all really thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and thanks to Hawaiin beach holidays for that
Our group of eight fell in love with our condo, (D 23) at the Waikoloa Beach Villas! It was spacious and so beautifully furnished and we all felt right at home. We were just steps from the pool and the Queens Market across the way was great for an early walk to our morning coffee. We stocked up on groceries in Waimea and really enjoyed cooking and eating meals together. Our customer service was excellent and we WILL be bringing friends and family back to stay again next year! All of the information at the condo was so helpful in our planning day trips all over the island. We spent many days hanging around enjoying the pool and the local beaches, soaking up the breeze, reading and napping! A must see is the Waipio Valley! We did the van tour that took us all down together to the valley floor. Our guide was a wonderful local and each of us was in awe. We range in ages from 21- 47 and there was something for everyone. Great photos and tons of beauty! If you decide to take a trip to the Big Island I would definitely recommend staying at this wonderful unit! It was a perfect home base. The place was stocked up with everything needed to settle in and have a relaxing time. Thanks againg for a wonderful time, Linda and friends from Santa Cruz California
Its location is incredible; we loved the pond and its tropical fishes, and the nature surrounding.
Wailoloa Beach Villa L-23 was an awesome place to stay for an awesome vacation. The unit was immaculate and well kept. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed watching some of the summer olympics on the HD televisions! We could not have picked a better place to stay!
This was a great house. I could not have asked for a more perfect place. My mother called it paradise and it was. We spent everyday in the water and it got to where we did not want to leave the house and site see. I recommend stocking up on fresh produce at the local farmers markets and then just enjoy the stay. If you must leave the property I can recommend Paulo's Bistro in downtown Pahoa. Great Italian food. Also a must is seeing the lava flow at night. It is rare to walk on earth that is younger that you are.
We brought our family for a 50th anniversary and all of us agree - the condo was VERY pleasant - comfortable, convenient to the beach, town and all other wonderful sights. We would come back to D4 again as all of us were satisfied with the accomodations, pool area, locality and the way the condo was furnished. The staff was helpful, when we requested something - they responded and the place was clean to our satisfaction. Twelve days was good for enjoying the island but we still had more to see - so we will be back!
The location on Kealaukua Bay was totally wonderful. The snorkeling there was better than any we've seen. The access for kayaking, and snorkeling was great with a feel of privacy we wouldn't have had at the resorts. Kayaking to the monument and seeing the dolphins along the way was the highlight of our trip. The small market on the way into Kona was convenient. The rental company contact was friendly, helpful & available. The house was large & comfortable. Quinn's was a local's restaurant we enjoyed. The manta ray night snorkel trip was a little disappointing for the snorkelers in our group. We found the snorkelers outnumbered the manta's about 50:1. Be sure to bring water shoes, or sturdy waterproof sandals. The lava is tough to walk on & slippery in parts. Avoid the sea urchin spines! '
Hello Gary, Yes, our family had a great stay at the Dolphin Retreat. Before I forget, the sink in the upstairs master bath is leaking. The cold knob is leaking under the bowl where it is attached and dripping down onto the shutoff valve and then onto the floor. Suggest you fix that right away. We loved the house--especially the upstairs. It was a tough decision on who was going to get what bedroom because everyone wanted to be upstairs but it all worked out. When we got to the house and walked around the side to see the back yard we were all blown away. It was truly beautiful and more than what we expected. We sat on the lower deck along the seawall every evening before sunset and soaked in the beauty of it all. The snorkeling was great although we had to go to the little white beach over to the left in order for my parents to get in and out of the water safely. I understand the kayak at our house is usually at your other house. I strongly feel you should always have the tandem kayak at the house as part of the amenities so we were glad to have it and used it several hours each day. We all loved the upstairs lanai with the dining table. That was our gathering spot and it was great having all of our meals outside yet protected. The house would be more comfortable with sliding screen doors upstairs as we did have a few mosquitoes and had to kill 2 large brown recluse spiders in the kitchen and one bedroom. We liked the geckos so keep them around. The snorkeling was the best I have seen over by the Captain Cook monument and the spinner dolphins were fantastic. Paddling through a pod of about 40 jumping and spinning dolphins made the trip for my 77 year old father. The hot tub was great and the outdoor shower was an added special. Thank you for the stereo and all of the supplies in the kitchen. The wine glasses were put to good use. Our family liked Big Jakes BBQ the best. It was the best pulled pork I ever tasted including North Carolina BBQ. Also, the luau at the King Kamehameha was small and personable with excellent dancers. I would and will recommend the house to others and my parents want to come back again to the same house. So perhaps we will be returning in a few years. Thank you for making my 50th birthday celebration a huge success and when I get the money I will talk to you about buying an interest in the house. Not sure if we had a security deposit that is to be returned. Would you please let me know about that. My cell is 808-381-5387 or email me. From all of the Steinmiller family, we say MAHALO!!
My family and I feel like we were ih Hawaii. We happened to go to the Dolphin Quest at the Hilton. We stayed at the pool for the day. If someone stays at the Hilton and says they were in Hawaii, they are sadly mistaken. Thanks for a wonderful Hawaiin experience. The Farinacci Family
It was a very enjoyable stay -- beautiful setting and great house. I would have preferred air conditioning for the master bedroom however so that we could close the windows while we slept (the wonderful waves crashing on the rosks is pretty noisy when one is trying to sleep). Kit Foley from Blue Sky Cuisine came to our house to cook a wonderful meal for our anniversary and we'd definitely recommend him to anyone. Thanks for a lovely holiday.
The best thing I liked about the unit was the location. It was close to everything we did while on our trip. Also, loved the fact that in the garage was the beach chairs, snorkel gear, and boogie boards...that was unexpected, but came in very handy because we did not need to rent that gear! Great customer service. We'll be back!
- The unit was superior, beautifully decorated, all of the amenties (except we could find ironing board/iron) spacious and comfortable. The garage was a plus as well. - Philippa was super helpful - much appreciated. - Hapuna Beach was fantastic and just a short drive away. - Queen's Market Place was super handy and had a great sushi restaurant.
We have stayed at 5 places on our trip. We have stayed at 3 of Hawaiian Beach Rental places on Oahu and the Big Island and found that HBR are great. Even though we are on vacation and retired, I need Internet access to conduct volunteer business and communicate with the grandkids. Hula Cove was the best place on our trip. It was well equipped and the access to the tide pools was fantastic. It was a little far from basic necessities but with a little planning a a couple of trips we managed to eat well and survive.
The condo was in need of a real good cleaning. We had the cleaning lady in the second night as the air vents where back with dust and dirt. Behind the furniture found dead bugs and dirt. Also cockroaches and I told them. The top of the fridge in the kitchen 2 inches dirt. Aside from that it was okay.
The view from our unit 13H was like a post card! The pool and club facilities were world class = to many of the 4/5 Star Hotels we have stayed at. Three couples shared this very nicely appointed 3 bedroom Condo - would have liked the 3rd bathoom but we have been friends for over 25 years so things worked out fine. Everything else in the condo was great - very new, modern place - we would rent it AGAIN. We are all golfers so I would have to say the best part of our trip was the 3 rounds of golf we played in 5 days. By far the course we enjoyed the most was the Waikola Ocean Course! We had a great music filled night at the "casual" Huggo's on the beach. We also had two up scale nights at the Farimont on the beach(about 2 or 3 miles on the coast to the North of us), words can not descirbe the beauty of this complex - the food and service were "excellent"+ very nice live easy listening music. Last but not least we were given VIP treatment and many good tips on were to eat etc. from Phillipa - she was GREAT and we want to thank her in print! :) THANKS "Phillipa. Aloah Dennis
The RockSlide house was the perfect house for our 11 family members. We each had our own room and bath and plenty of personal space. The pictures do not do the house justice. It is both gorgeous and completely comfortable at the same time. We were pleasantly surprised that the fridges (there's 5!) were stocked with water, beer and sodas, along with the wine fridge having some wine left from former guests. The pantry also had everything we needed to complete our dinners with the staples purchased at Costco and the beautiful new Island Foodland at the shops nearby. We all enjoyed the fact that you could either take the car or one of the three golf carts down to the Beach Club or the market. How easy! The kids were in the pool from morning til night and we loved our bbq dinners out on the lanai. We took advantage of the fire pit and the tiki torches and the amazing clear nights with the sky full of stars. Absolutely the best vacation we have taken. Mahalo to the owners for opening their home for others to enjoy. The Shaw/Kirschke/Nesbitt and Buba Clan
Hello, We loved the home we stayed in. It was perfect for 9 people. We also liked how accessible everything was from this location, walks on the beach, walks into Kona, shopping and the hwy to leave the city. The home was clean and well cared for. My only complaint would have been the construction next door which started at 7 am every day except Sunday. We were in bed early and up early but it would have been nice to have a choice sometimes as it was quite noisy. We realize this is beyond your control. Maybe an 8 am start would have been nice but for workers we realize it is cooler earlier. We had concerns over the shower floor in the master bedroom as the water never drained properly and sat in the doorway. We mopped the water up as it concerned us. Otherwise we loved the house, the big island and had a wonderful trip. I would recommend the home and the place to anyone. Thank you Barb Munro
The house and location are both perfect. I got chills (good ones) when I walked into the house for the first time. There was a mama whale and her calf out in the water blowing and playing. What a welcome. I love the big island, it is my favorite. I will definately be back. We will always try to travel with other couples so we can stay in this wonderful house. Mahalo!
Location was great. I love to snorkel and the Waiopae tide pools are the best. Customer service was great. We had an ant problem when we checked in but they answered quickly to resolve it and the owner called us personally when I called with a question. By the way, many of the homeowners in Kapoho Beach lots are trying to keep people out of the Champagne Pond, which is a cool place but not as good as Waiopae in my opinion, so be prepared to put up with some questioning and trouble getting in the gate. Best way in would be to use the bicycles. We really liked the new restaurant in Pahoa. I cannot remember the name of it but as you drive into town it's on the right hand side, before you reach the main part of town. It rained most of the time, in fact it rained harder and longer than I have ever seen it rain, but that was very unusual. This was our 3rd trip to Kapoho and this was the worst weather we've had. We did get a couple of semi-sunny days and got some great snorkeling and site-seeing in. Unit was well kept and has snorkeling gear, 2 bicycles, ice chests, mats, etc. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes and utensils as well as some spices. We did run very low on toilet paper! The hot tub was great. We love Kapoho and have considered buying property there. If you know of any good deals let us know!- skg123@charter.net .
Overall, the accomodation was very good but there were cockroaches in the kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms. I would recommend for you to fumigate the condo. Also, I would very much like to be able to park in the garage because I did not have a parking space to park, so I parked in one of the reserved space and in the morning there was a note on my windshield to ask me not to park there. I also think that it is a good idea that we should get the refund for the down payment as quickly as possible because it is not fair that we paid upfront and not get it back for 1 month. mahalo
The condo was well equipped and luxurious. There was enough room for everyone and whatever was missing was supplied promptly. The only disappointment was having no safe use of the barbecue, but otherwise fantastic. The gym needs free weights! Was there supposed to be a return from the damage deposit upon checkout? Please let me know at rdookeran@gmail.com sincerely, Dr.Ravi Dookeran
Excellent facility and location - would definitely recommend to others. RH
Our particular suite was beautiful. You might want to tell potential renters about the "hidden" costs before they get to the last page and have decided to stay with the place as it put us off. Also, the note before we left, stating that we wouldn't be given directions unless we submitted our flight and car rental details is a bit harsh. I would recommend this suite to others and stay there again
The Tuberose House is private, quiet, and close to Kailua. The pool was cool, but clean and nice. We spent a lot of our time outside looking at the sunset, or enjoying the early morning warmth. Our favorite restaurant is Merrimans with Pesto's coming in a close 2nd.
An absolutely beautiful place to stay...inside and out!! The staff on site were so friendly and accomodating. I would recommend that the property managers escort the new arrivals to the condo....it is a little difficult to find...especially after dark. The Halii Kai staff on site were great to print us boarding passes even tho they were not invloved in the renting process. Best restaurant hands down was Merriman's both in Waimea and the Cafe in King's Shop. We made a qick stop at Hapuna Beach State Park...should have planned for a day there...beautiful beach. Best part of trip were the spectacular sunsets from our condo!!
We loved the location because is was quiet and secluded, but within easy driving distance to Hilo and the volcano. Our favorite part of the trip was snorkling in the Champagne Pond and Tide Pools. We loved barbequeing on the lanai and watching the stunning stars at night. This turned out to be one of our best vacations!
We were so please with this last minute booking. The condo was absolutely beautiful! Complete with a washer and dryer, PlayStation and wireless internet, it was like being at home only without any of the worry. It was great to have the whole family together. The nearby beaches were great, lots of turtles. We will be back!!!
UNIT 13H IS WONDERFUL!! We just loved this unit. It is the closest building to the pool, but faces the opposite direction. There is no direct access to ocean water, so this unit is great for those with kids. The lanai on the back overlooking the ocean is heavenly. The black lava shoreline against the pristine manicured landscape is just breathtaking, and then the palms blowing in the wind is great. This unit has the largest "backyard" of all the units in 13, so kids can play freely. It is a bit windy at times on the porch, so bring a windbreaker. Furnishings are wonderfully elegant. Bedding is great too. We got wireless internet from the neighbors I think, and a DSL cable is provided for direct hookup. It was great to be able to wash clothes regularly, and the kitchen has brand new appliances. The pans are nice looking, but meals were very slow cooking in them. But you were able to enjoy the views while cooking. The community pool overlooks the ocean and golf corse. It has about 7 different pools and one is 18" deep for the bitty kids. They serve light meals and drinks from the clubhouse. You can walk to the Hilton on the smooth pebble path alongside the gold course. The path is more rocky if you choose to walk west in front of the unit The hilton is amazing, so plan to spend a few hours there on the 62 acres. The Marriott nearby has a great book of all the restaurants in the area (concierge). Big Island gets tons of rain on the other side. Though this side is dry due to the drought (2007), Id definately stay here again. Definately a resort feeling for a couple of miles around this unit. Manicured landscaping with the finest of plants, golf courses on both sides, and greener grass then Ive ever seen anywhere. We chose this area so we would not have the experience the 280 inches of rain per year the other side of the island gets. It rains almost every day over there. Kona and Hilo are older and not as fresh and clean as the new resort areas, so Id choose this area again over those areas. It took approx 1.5-2 hours to get to Hilo if you go the waterfall route. Probably 2.5 hours to get to the volcano by the same waterfall route. Best beach is about 7 minutes away by car, and there are 4 beaches to choose from side by side. We chose the first one (Waikaloa beach?) off Puako road (I think) and sat under trees right on the beach and made sandcastles while avoiding sunburn. One of the other beaches there is the top rated beach in the world right now. We did some cute pics of the kids at that beach too. Overall, I could not imagine a better place to stay. We left the video camera on for about an hour so we can relax to the views anytime we like. We did the plane tour for 2.5 hours, and suggest doing that late in your trip if you are planning it. It was much nicer to be able to recognize things from the air. And we would have been clueless if we did that early in the trip. Stay here, and get lots of video of the views!!!!!! You'll remember it for a lifetime!!!!
Big island is the perfect place that you can remember your great days in your childhood. You can play with a turtle, fish, monk seal, and gekko! Also, you can experience the super adventure with picking up mango, papaya, and so many fruits from trees. And The Bamboo House!!!!! It was a perfect place to stay in Big Island. We had a lovely sunset dinner at Tuberose House. We aresure that we plan to come back here! thank you,
The unit was even better than advertised. It was close to the shore; basics like cooking oil and spices and pasta and rice and toilet paper were already there; cooking utensils (pots, pans, knives) were very good quality. The Hawaiian cookbook in the kitchen was a nice touch and the chicken with sweet potatoes and bananas we made with produce from the Hilo farmers' marked was unforgettable. The kids really wanted a sand beach, and Richardson Beach near Hilo was perfect for that, especially late morning when it was very quiet. My advice to someone else staying at this unit would be to book an extra week.
Location to pool, clean, well furnished, nicely decorated was all great. Loved the Brown's Beach Restaurant at Fairmont Orchid, pricey but sunset was beautiful. Waikoloa Colony Villas are very nice but did miss the "Ocean" experience because of distance to beach. Usually we insist on waterfront when we visit beaches, but were bound to this location because of other family visiting the island and who are owners at the Villas.
What a GREAT place!!!!!! Could not of asked for a better condo. I will certainly recommend to others. We did put down a $500 Security Deposit. Thanks Sally & Tim and Family
The house was a paradise for two families during spring break. Kids loved the pool and riding to the beach in the golf cart.
The house was perfect, absolutely awesome. My wife and I and 3 sons had a wonderful time and hated to have to leave. Pool and hot tub were great, 180 degree ocean view was amazing as was the snorkeling right in front of the house- thousands of fish in 70 foot visibility. Beds were comfortable, rooms and bathrooms were big and clean, kitchen was fairly well stocked with hardware (and even some food items) and the ice chest and body boards were nice to take to the beaches. We will definately be staying here our next trip to the big island. Mahalo!
We had a wonderful stay, just a few small items...the laundry machine was very tempermental, no paper towels were supplied, and limited communication with the agency. Thank you.
Fabulous location! Love the ability to walk to town yet have total privacy from neighbors & a very special beach/lagoon in front. House & pool have marvelous design with ease/comfort for multiple people to have their own space.
Wow, what a superb house. We will be back! Thank you so much for your kind hospitality. John, Ana, Katie, Michelle, Rebecca, Jessica, Annie and Danielle Weinel
We had an age range from 1 to 85 and everyone loved Roc Slide! The older folks loved the quiet and comfort of the house, the middle folks loved the slide and pool and the little one loved exploring (with attendees at hand). The media room was a big hit with the young men and the kitchen spoiled us all with upgrade appliances and every convenience.
Loved the house! The only negative was the ants...not a huge deal though. Thank you!
This was the perfect getaway for our family. We felt very much at home and we are looking forward to coming back soon.
Please remove the coconuts. We got hit by small coconuts falling and it created quite a bit of anxiety.
This house was amazing and beautiful- we had a phenomenal time.
This certainly is a paradise home and then some. We enjoyed our stay, the tropical fish and turtles were a treat. Next time Muhammad is going to let me drive his Porche! I wish! Dave
We had a awesome time at Hualalai..The service at the Four Seasons was fantastic..A wonderful place to take children..I had my 2 grandchildren ages 3months and 3 years..they both had a great time...The condo was more than we could have imagined and was perfect for our large family..No one could ever be dissapointed staying in this paradise villa..
We had an absolute blast! What a fantastic home - fully stock with everything we could have even thought about needing! The only suggestion that I would make is that the directions have mileage points added to make it a little easier to navigate... and the directions were missing a left hand turn at the very end. But once we found it - it was fantastic! Totally worth it AND we're trying to figure out when we can come back!
Wonderfull place to stay, warm welcome by the owners. Would recommend this place to anyone.
What a beautiful home! Everything was perfect! The pool, the view of the sunset, the location and the house was gorgeous. We would highly recommend it to anyone and are hoping to return ourselves some day.
We enjoyed being at Hale Naia at Captain Cook's. It was one of the most relaxing vacations we have had in a long time. Probably the only negative comment would be the ants in the kitchen and the sugar cane spiders. Other then that, the location was absolutely beatiful. All six of us say Mahalo and Thank you very much for a great vacation. The Crumleys
We were very comfortable at the Tuberose House. The best experience we have had in Hawaii, yet. The pool was cool, but inviting and we made a lot of use out of it. We spent most of our time on the lanai, and the privacy was great. Thanks again.
This was the most amazing place! The home was just perfect - and the lanai was so nice, where we enjoyed all of our meals, sunrises and sunsets! Arthurena (turtle) was a joy to meet - and our children loved feeding her every day. Snorkeling in Champagne pond is my kind of snorkeling (sea turtles, fish, eels, and heated!!!) I highly recommend this home to anyone interested in staying in a true paradise!
What a great place. Wish that I had more time to be there.
We had a wonderful time. Hale O Kip is a beautiful well designed, well-stocked home with fabulous lighting & sound system perfect for extended family entertainment & fun. Each bedroom has its own bathroom & TV/VCR. We especially enjoyed the lovely glass-enclosed patio area overlooking the pool/spa on the one side, views of snow-capped Mauna Kea on the other side, the blue pacific & coastline in the distance on the front side & the inside of the home to the rear. The glass paneled accordian folding doors can be opened on three sides and the sliding glass door opens into the home at the rear. The children enjoyed playing on the wonderful lawn area too. The beautiful moon was visible throughout the night and into the day during our entire 6-day stay! We loved the seclusion and felt so safe!
Outstanding accomodations. The beach is literally hundred yards away.
The house was spectacular, the setting incrediable! The house was well appointed and comfortable, we had a great time and would love to return again. Thank you so much for you help and hospitality.
I have been to Aina malia three or four times with friends or family. We prize the seclusion and the beauty of the setting. The house is nice. Two of the bedrooms are very airy and light, one is somewhat dark with essentially no outside windows. The tower bedrom is nice but the noise of the wind in the palms can be a bit much when sleeping.
