Hale Kehau - The house was fantastic!!! I loved waking up each morning and watching the sunrise from my bed!! The amount of "extras" at the house, masks, snorkels, boggies boards, etc.,was an unexpected pleasure. We couldn't have had a better time. We loved the Ono Family restaurant and Duane's Ono Burgers. We will definately be back!
Hale Kehau - Very well equipped, comfortable home. Beautiful sunrises and in a quiet neighborhood. The ocean was a little too rough in April for snorkeling but the beach walks were wonderful. Would definitely rent again.
Hale Kehau - This rental was a fabulous place to bring an entire family. The children could not swim in the rough water, but the proximity to Lydgate State Park is so close, that is where we took them. The house has many amenities, and we loved the hot tub with a view.
Hale Kehau - The wonderful view of the beach and the reef from all rooms was fantastic! We enjoyed walks on the beach, collecting shells and relaxing in the jacuzzi. The layout of the house was great for the two of us but would be excellent for a family. Everyday we would go out to explore the island but were always happy to return to the house. Favorite activities were a helicopter ride, kayaking the Hanalei River, and hiking the Na Pali Coast.
Hale Kehau - We had three couples staying here and we were all amazed at how well the unit was equipped. It was almost like being in our own home. Unfortunately 5 of the 6 of us got sick while we were in Hawaii, but the beach house was a good place to be sick if one had to be sick. We really appreciated that Carolyn was able to tell us of a close emergency room as we had to take one gues to the hospital with "start of pneumonia". We were glad that we didn't have to go all the way to Lihue, and she even came to make sure that we had found our way. I suggest that you leave a note about the hot tub and the fact that you might have to trip the circuit breaker if the unit fails to heat. This happened to us. We didn't think about it as we knew it had power as the jets would work, but the heater was not working. Once again, Carolyn helped us out. Thanks.
Hale Kehau - We had absolutely everything we could ever need...right down to the night light! The beach at this house was very quite and secluded with great snorkeling. It was absolutely ideal!
Hale Kehau - The location was great (right after we figured out it was by mile marker 14) The rough water in the bay surprised me as I thought it would be very calm for our grandson.rnrnThe house had everything but I would suggest they leave more toilet paper. Each bathroom had one roll as a backup and with three women in the house, we were well short.rnrnWe had a great time and having the family together was great.rnrnJim Starkus
Hale Makai Kauai - We loved our stay at Hale Makai, it's location right on the beach was so very convenient. The beach it sits on had calm waves most of the day and was excellent for rookie snorkelers. We sat on the beach and watched the sunrise each morning with coffee and twice saw a monk seal on "our" beach. rnThis is our list of favorites: Duke's Canoe Club: excellent food and mai tai's. Lunch prices are very reasonable. Hanalei Dolphin: Beautiful location beside a river and very close to the Hanalei pier which is a great spot to catch the sunset. Jo-jo's shaved ice-the employees have very bad attitudes-but the product makes up for it-tell the register person what flavors you want so you get the lecture about how to order in their store. Ke'e beach at the very end of HWY 56-we swam with turtles. rnLydgate Beach-many varieties of fish and easy for rookie snorkelers.
Hale Kehau - This home was such a sweet place and what a joy to hear the lapping of the waves just outside the door. Gorgeous views in a lovely neighborhood and just what one dreams of in visiting such an island. We were close enough to all the sites but away from the maddening crowd...perfect!rnrnThe house was well equiped, the beds comfortable and the manager eager to please and pleasant at all times..what a joy! We were also in one of the rare rentals with A/C!rnrnIf your heading back towards Li'hue be sure to take the alternate route around Kapa'a it will save you loads of time!rnrnIt was a wonderful setting for long morning walks... whether choosing to walk on the beach or the road leading in beautiful scenery everywhere. Our adult children and their spouses made great use of the spa, the grill, the chaises, the DVD player...it was all there and all clean and nice...we felt so welcomed. Hale Kehau - This rental house is FANTASTIC! There were 8 of us staying for the week, and never once did the house seem small. The rooms were ideal and the ocean front was picture perfect. I would rent this home again in a hear beat. Enjoy!!!!
