The part of my trip I would definately recommend is the Inter Island "doors off" helicopter ride. It was amazing. We also enjoyed the Kauai Photo Tour. Watching whales from the living room of this house was incredible

We spent our honeymoon at this rental and it was PERFECT!!! We never wanted to leave and hope someday we can make it back to pardise....

The best thing about this beach house is its location. The ocean front view is spectacular. Its an easy drive to explore the north shore or down into Kapa'a. The beach is fairly quiet and serene. From sunrise to sunset and even by moonlight, nothing relaxed us more than sitting on the lawn chairs watching the waves. Our boys loved having a yard to run around and chase the chickens. The kitchen at the beach house is well equipped and there's a nice assortment of beach supplies in the closet of the garage (boogie boards, straw mats, masks/snorkels, buckets and shovels for the kids) as well as a closet full of beach towels in one of the bedrooms. Our favorite things to do after spending a day on the beach was to get shave ice at Ono Ono shave ice in Kapa'a, pick up ahi poke and lau laus at Pono Market (next door to shave ice) and take it back to the beach house to watch the sun set and the moon rise. No better way to spend a week vacation in Kauai.

Of the 14 trips we have made to the islands, this propertry has to be one of the best ever. The house is in a quiet area ,faces northeast for the sunrise, and is totally modern. Having this location makes for cool days and evenings. Anyone who has experienced a heat of the Hawaiian sun in the afternoon will appreciate the location of this house. We always rent a property where you can hear the waves splashing to shore and this house has that. Some say Tunnel Beach is marvelous; we would take the beach along the road to this house anytime. Sometimes, we have stayed in houses that might have been built on the cheap or just need maybe $5,000 worth of work. Not with this property; we did not want for anything. Will we rent it again? You bet. We could not be more satisfied.

This was our 14th visit to Kauai but the first time at a rental house. This House and the location far exceeded our expectations. Any furure trips we make to the Island will be too this house. The property Manager is very nice and good to work with. We would recommend this house to anyone.

We liked the fact that the house was right on the beach, which was very private to the surrounding homes. The customer service with Vacation Rentals was superb. The monk seal that barked at us while we were having coffee in the morning only enhanced our experience. Tunnels Beach is a must to go see and the Smith's Luau was a very nice experience also. We know that the locals say that the chickens are a problem but we thought they were great and not a menace at all. We were there November 18th - 25th, 2010 and the weather could not have been better. All and all our stay was very nice!

We absolutely loved this place!!! The only small quirk I had with it was the ants in the kitchen, but my husband tells me it's pretty commen on the hawaiian islands! We were so happy with the place, but it was just the two of us and it's more of a place for a few couples... so we just might come back with some friends and/or family next time! We loved Kauai. The hike down to the Wailua falls was one of our favorites. The food in Hanelei bay was awesome and the massage we had from the girls at the massage hut in our backyard was AWESOME!!!!! Mahalo... we will be back!

What I liked best about the unit was its location. The secluded road and the proximity to the beach. Awesome. The best part of our trip was the beach. The sunshine and privacy were incredible. We would love to come back.

The house was fantastic!!! I loved waking up each morning and watching the sunrise from my bed!! The amount of "extras" at the house, masks, snorkels, boggies boards, etc.,was an unexpected pleasure. We couldn't have had a better time. We loved the Ono Family restaurant and Duane's Ono Burgers. We will definately be back!

Corinne R., Turlock, Ca, 5.11.08

Very well equipped, comfortable home. Beautiful sunrises and in a quiet neighborhood. The ocean was a little too rough in April for snorkeling but the beach walks were wonderful. Would definitely rent again.

Kay R., Houston, Texas, 4.19.08

This rental was a fabulous place to bring an entire family. The children could not swim in the rough water, but the proximity to Lydgate State Park is so close, that is where we took them. The house has many amenities, and we loved the hot tub with a view.

Joan V., Mesa, Az, 4.10.08

The wonderful view of the beach and the reef from all rooms was fantastic! We enjoyed walks on the beach, collecting shells and relaxing in the jacuzzi. The layout of the house was great for the two of us but would be excellent for a family. Everyday we would go out to explore the island but were always happy to return to the house. Favorite activities were a helicopter ride, kayaking the Hanalei River, and hiking the Na Pali Coast.

We had three couples staying here and we were all amazed at how well the unit was equipped. It was almost like being in our own home. Unfortunately 5 of the 6 of us got sick while we were in Hawaii, but the beach house was a good place to be sick if one had to be sick. We really appreciated that Carolyn was able to tell us of a close emergency room as we had to take one gues to the hospital with "start of pneumonia". We were glad that we didn't have to go all the way to Lihue, and she even came to make sure that we had found our way. I suggest that you leave a note about the hot tub and the fact that you might have to trip the circuit breaker if the unit fails to heat. This happened to us. We didn't think about it as we knew it had power as the jets would work, but the heater was not working. Once again, Carolyn helped us out. Thanks.

We had absolutely everything we could ever need...right down to the night light! The beach at this house was very quite and secluded with great snorkeling. It was absolutely ideal!

Cristall S., Albuquerque, NM, 10.23.07

The location was great (right after we figured out it was by mile marker 14) The rough water in the bay surprised me as I thought it would be very calm for our grandson.rnrnThe house had everything but I would suggest they leave more toilet paper. Each bathroom had one roll as a backup and with three women in the house, we were well short.rnrnWe had a great time and having the family together was great.rnrnJim Starkus

This home was such a sweet place and what a joy to hear the lapping of the waves just outside the door. Gorgeous views in a lovely neighborhood and just what one dreams of in visiting such an island. We were close enough to all the sites but away from the maddening crowd...perfect!rnrnThe house was well equiped, the beds comfortable and the manager eager to please and pleasant at all times..what a joy! We were also in one of the rare rentals with A/C!rnrnIf your heading back towards Li'hue be sure to take the alternate route around Kapa'a it will save you loads of time!rnrnIt was a wonderful setting for long morning walks... whether choosing to walk on the beach or the road leading in beautiful scenery everywhere. Our adult children and their spouses made great use of the spa, the grill, the chaises, the DVD player...it was all there and all clean and nice...we felt so welcomed. This rental house is FANTASTIC! There were 8 of us staying for the week, and never once did the house seem small. The rooms were ideal and the ocean front was picture perfect. I would rent this home again in a hear beat. Enjoy!!!!

Because of the beautiful surroundings and wonderful amenities we spent much, much more time than originally planned, sitting on the lanai looking @ the extraordinary view - morning, noon & (way into the) night. We saw golden sunrises, fantastic sunsets, the Milky Way, the harvest full moon and even enjoyed the rain. We made a special friend there: "Patty the Plover" who came around every day. Also made good use of the hot tub. We'll be back ! Mahalo
