We stayed at the Kauikeolani Estate for a family reunion in mid May. We had four generations there, aged 88 to 1. I can't imagine a more perfect, beautiful place for our stay. I know there are renovations planned for later this year, I hope they won't change anything! (Actually, two small additions would be nice: high speed internet access, and handrails for the stairs to the lanai from the yard.) The grounds are gorgeous, house has plenty of room for everyone to have their own space, living/dining area elegant with tall ceilings and dining table for 12, a lanai surrounding the whole house with views in all directions, across the street from one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. We had a great time on the "golf course" - there were five pins in the yard; putters really weren't much use, we just played closest to the pin. The estate and surrounding grounds were beautiful. The only complaint I have is the website listed a 9 hole practice golf course, 5 flags stuck in the grass hardly could be described as a golf course! Also the CD player did not work, however we purchased one and left in on site for the next renters.
