I liked Akahai Ani because of its simplicity. It was easy to care for with children and the location to Lihue and Koloa was nice for shopping and provisioning. The location was wondeful to easily access the entire island, yet not feel like you were in the middle of a tourist environment. We loved roaming the grounds and playing golf on the mini golf course. We had our own Olympics since they were on while we were there. My kids did the sea cave zodiac tour on the Napali coast and loved it. They hiked the falls, did the helicopter ride and zip lining. They couldn't pick their best experience, they were impressed by all. This was the second time I rented this place, and would rent again should I return to Kauai. Celia was great in helping us get the proper channels for the Olympics and accommodating us on our coordination of check in/out with airline arrivals/departures. They were always available when needed.

Mahalo and Aloha.

It's a wonderful house; the pictures on the web are accurate, but don't capture the spaciousness of the rooms, the enormous size of the property, the peacfulness of the place -- a world away from the tourist hustle and bustle -- or the scent of the gardenia blossoms that waft across the front lanai. Thanks very much for offering it!

A serene retreat with both an element of Zen and a history of the islands. So peaceful we had a hard time tearing ourselves away to go to the beach. We only wished we could have stayed longer.

This is a very special place and we felt lucky to blunder on to it on the internet. The house is beautiful and unique and very well equipped for cooking. The grounds are gorgeous.

Akahai Ani was EXACTLY as we'd anticipated, if not more. A large charming house with the right mix of rustic authenticity and comfortable luxury. The grounds were unheard of in terms of sheer size. We loved the gazebo, the pool, running around the golf course, feeding the neighbors' horses, chasing toads and chickens. The house is wonderful. Our only suggestion is that the kitchen be better stocked with cooking supplies -- we missed having measuring spoons, paring knives, and mixing bowls. But other than that, we were in absolute heaven and would really like to rent this property again next year -- maybe for two weeks! Thanks again!

This house was wonderful and very comfortable for my son, daughter in law and their 11 month old. It was very clean, and well supplied. The location was great relative to our needs and the grounds were wonderful to wander around. We will be back and only want to stay at Akahai Ani. Thank you
