1. Beautiful view from the unit
2.
Amazing ocean sounds
3. Some beautiful sunsets
4. Snorkeling is good - beautiful fish - on Lawai road (about 1/2 mile off of Poipu Road) on the way to Spouting Horn
5. There are some cool hikes and beautiful waterfalls - We loved the hike at the very North end of the island (end of Hwy 56), on the 4 mile hike to the beach area.
6. Keoki's is a nice little place to eat, and it is very close to the condo, on Poipu Road
7. We really liked the breakfast at "Joe's" (near Keoki's)
8. Some tasty fresh fish is available at "The Fish Market", right across from the Post office in Koloa.
9. Customer service: The only issue we had was that the no one answered the "emergency" numbers" we were given. Our flight in was a bit late, and so we had to call after 11 p.m. because the directions to the condo were in error. Luckily, after midnight, a local resident guided us to Pe'e Road.
Note: After turning left at the Chevron station in Koloa, about 1.5 miles is supposed to be Pe'e Rd. However, at this point you will reach a round-a-bout. You need to continue ANOTHER 1.5 miles and you will come to Pe'e Rd - a (stone structure) marker that reads "Poipu Kai Resort" will be on the corner. Otherwise, the directions are accurate.

The view from this unit was very nice and the furnishings in the condo were nice. The kitchen was equipped for a vacation rental. I would like the property management company and also the owner to know that the unit's windows were very dirty and in need of being cleaned. In addition the base moldings in the unit needed cleaning. There was a dead (thank heaven) centipede or millipede near the door in the second bedroom. There were also dead flowers in a yellow water pitcher on the lanai. I would expect a $130.00 cleaning fee per renter to leave the unit in better condition than this.

We loved our stay at Poipu Makai A1! Waking up to the ocean right outside our window was amazing. The only negative thing about it was that it got stuffy if the breeze wasn't going in the right direction, and there was no AC. Other than that, we loved it and would definitely go back. Thank you!
