Hihimanu (pronounced hee-ee-mah-nu) is a Kauai mountain peak located on the north side of the island. This name also describes the Hawaiian sting ray for which the mountain peak was named after because of its two peaks that is shaped like a sting ray. Hihimanu also has a meaning for lavish, magnificient and elegance . . . . precisely describing this lush property. Nestled near the foot of a Hanalei mountain range, this estate is literally soothing to the soul. Our beautiful beaches are just eight to ten minutes away from this quiet secluded retreat. Hihimanu . . . a luxurious 5-bedroom, 3 ½ -bath home has an expansive 7,514 square feet of living space. The lovely home is exquisitely detailed and furnished for your ultimate comfort and sense of well being. The generous lanai in the back has a hot tub. Leading out from this lanai is a tropical healing salt swimming pool. * (Note: Lava rock seen in the photo does not have a waterfall feature.) View Hanaleis majestic mountains and the world famous Hanalei Bay in the distance from the master suite on the top level complete with a large bathroom and a Jacuzzi tub. The gourmet kitchen boasts of an industrial home version Viking gas range and a professionally fully equipped kitchen with a Subzero refrigerator/freezer. This large home also features custom Koa cabinetry, hardwood floors, faux-finished walls and fine woodcraft detailing. Although not needed in Hawaii and not used, the presence of a cozy fireplace in the living room sets the mood for a welcoming ambience. Tasteful furnishings, exquisite lighting and fine linens, fine towels and many other custom touches complete this wonderful accommodation for your family and friends. The home was great for a family vacation. The location was peaceful and the views from either side of the master bedroom were spectacular. The kids loved the pool, playing ping pong and watching the huge TV.

The home did have some problems during our stay such as the dishwasher didn't work as well as a few other less troublesome maintenance matters that should be monitored more carefully for such a nice (and pricey) property.

House and grounds were magnificent. Added recreation equipment a nice surprise. Celebrated milestone bithday there with farflung family and it was beyond wonderful. Thank you for providing the perfect setting.

"Maybe a little more info available on the beautiful trails and other "things to do" off the beaten path. And possibly another small rotating fan in the guest bath and bedroom. It was a beautiful condo and will only come back if we can book this unit. I am also teeling everyone who is headed your way that this 213 unit is the one. We looked at an open house in puu poa and it did not compare. Mahalo"
