This name also describes the Hawaiian sting ray for which the mountain peak was named after because of its two peaks that is shaped like a sting ray. Hihimanu also has a meaning for lavish, magnificient and elegance . . . . precisely describing this lush property.

The gourmet kitchen boasts of an industrial home version Viking gas range and a professionally fully equipped kitchen with a Subzero refrigerator/freezer.
This large home also features custom Koa cabinetry, hardwood floors, faux-finished walls and fine woodcraft detailing. Although not needed in Hawaii and not used, the presence of a cozy fireplace in the living room sets the mood for a welcoming ambience.

The home did have some problems during our stay such as the dishwasher didn't work as well as a few other less troublesome maintenance matters that should be monitored more carefully for such a nice (and pricey) property.
