The house was just beautiful. Perfectly decorated. It seemed specially designed to ensure relaxation. It was a haven for us. We got to do everything we wanted to, including nothing at all. There are great beaches just a few minutes away by car, or if you are in incredibly good shape, there's one that's walking distance down a very steep hill. The grocery store was extremely convenient (just 2 minutes away), so we stocked the already well-appointed kitchen with food and cooked a few of our own meals. That made some special memories too. Our favorite restaurant was the Lighthouse Bistro (try the coconut pork medallions). The Kilahuea Lighthouse is a must-visit. And don't leave the island without a helicopter tour (we took Safari Helicopters). Would do it all over again, in fact, can't wait to do it all over again.

We (three couples)had a wonderful time on Kauai. The house is beautiful, it was a couple of days before we were able to see the waterfall out the back. What a wonderful sight to wake to! We took a helicopter tour that costs a lot but it was worth every penny of the cost. The things we saw made me cry tears of joy! We also snorkled in the most crystal clear water I have ever seen.
We went to the Smith luau. We ate way too much and saw a great show. I was suprised that the show lasted as long as it did, because the cost wasn't very much.
We when to Oahu one day and saw Pearl Harbor. That was very moving. I don' think that any of us liked Oahu nearly as much as we did Kauai.
We didn't get to kayak or rent a motorcycle (it rained) but hopefully some day we will get back and get to do that. We also wanted to see the Allerton Garden.
The cost of renting this house campared to a hotel was a no brainer. We got to do a lot more because we stayed here instead of in a hotel. The grill was great, the pool was warm and clean. Next time we will pack fewer clothes because of the washer & dryer. There was even spray starch!
One way to save a little money is buy your lei at WalMart instead of the airport and remember you can't take it back with you, so it may be something you might want to forget. My husband went out back every morning and got the women a flower for our hair every day. Now that we are back home I think I miss that the most. All the color and smells! We live in Georgia, so there is lots of natural beauty it is just a different beauty.
If you are considering Kauai rent this house it is well worth the money!
Aloha

We really lliked the house and pool. One thing we did not know before we got there was that the view was so spectacular. I would point that out to more people. Also we were worried about golf balls flying in the yard but that never happened because the house is so far removed from the course. We do have one complaint. The neighbors( who were nice) dont pick up after their dogs on the side of the house and there were a lot of flies around the pool. You could not sit out there and read because the flies were all over us. Overall the house was very clean and we enjoyed it. Thanks for the great customer service. Mahalo,rnT.J. Fay
