Description
This large private home has four bedrooms, three full bathrooms and great for families. It's situated on a lush green belt in the gated community of Princeville. The owners have over fifty orchids on display and their grounds abound with tropical plants and flowers (please make sure the little ones don't disturb them). For golfers there is the 27 hole course just a short walk away. This spacious home also offers a large playroom downstairs with toys, crib and even a portable crib. They also own the empty lot next door offering plenty of room for children to run and play. This house is within walking distance to a very large well equipped playground too. Just a short drive will bring beach lovers to numerous beaches. This house comfortably sleeps 7 adults plus a brand new queen futon on the lower floor. The Taylor's pride themselves on having a clean, modern, and well equipped home!

What we liked best is that the house had many things from beach towels to snorkeling masks, boogie boards, beach mats, etc. that we could use. The kitchen had plenty of spices and equipment for cooking our meals including two grills outside on balcony and lower deck. We loved the view, birds that would come to eat the seeds provided on the balcony. There were games, movies, books, etc for our use. We loved the Kauai guide books and used them quite a bit.

Customer service I received was pretty prompt and responsive to our questions.

The best restaurant we found was CJs in Princeville.

My advice to someone else staying at this unit would be that it may cause allergy reactions because of the carpeting and what we thought smelled like bug spray.

The part of the trip we would recommend to others is Waimea Canyon (look outs and trails) and the lighthouse view was spectacular.

The best insider tip we received was what to do if you are caught in an undertow in the ocean. The water looked OK, but later we realized we should be looking for life guards or know what to do when caught in an undertow. So, go to beaches with life guards or where there are others around (especially surfers who can come to your rescue if necessary).

I would recommend having activities and places you want to eat planned in advance so you can make reservations
and schedules for yourself.

I will recommend to my friends going to Kauai to stay at Taylor House. The offers a very relaxing and close to nature environment. I love watching the birds by the balcony and enjoy the air breeze in the house. The house is also close to a secluded private beach and a park overlooking the ocean, a perfect spot to watch the sunrise. Awesome!!!
