to find the perfect Kauai vacation.
Wailele Ikena Hanalei - This was a beautiful property! It was within walkng distance of the beach and to shopping in Hanelai! Very beautiful area..a bit rainy during the time of year that we were here but it never rained for very long and it was warm and beautiful so we just kept going right through it. I would definately recommend spending some time here.
Hale Ani - The house and location are wonderful, I would highly recommend it to friends and family. A Later check out would be nice since most flights arrive late eve and leave late eve.
Mauna Kai 1B - I liked best the size and location of the unit, particularly with 7 of us occupying it. There was never a problem of overcrowding. However, for the benefit of future guests you might like to ensure that all the important items are in working order, for instance the lights in the bedroom on your left as you enter did not work, only 2 gangs of the 4 gang toaster were working and 2 days before the end the remaining 2 gangs became faulty in that only 1 side was toated at a time. I did report this to your office and also that for the last 3 or 4 days the broadband modem failed. These matters did not spoil an enjoyable vacation but I point them out so you can rectify them for others. I had no best retaurants as we did not go out much but probably the Paradise in the village was a good local one. Kind regards and best wishes for the future of your enterprise. John
The Plantations 121 - The Condo was great. It was very clean and comfortable. It was inconvenient to not have the phone accessible for use, as we had another party in another condo that we couldn't communicate with since we never got the phone number for this unit. (Cell phones were in roaming in Princeville). The only trouble we had was the driveway. It isn't completely paved, only partially paved (like runners). There was a very limited "turn around" space, and the grass at the end of the driveway got accidentally "drove over" and the caretaker wasn't very happy. We were very careful after the first time, but since the Unit is right on the corner of the main road, other people were turning around in our driveway, continuing to muddy it up. The caretaker then put stakes and tape up to prevent us from using the driveway to park our car, and when we returned late at night, we had no place to park as all the excess parking was taken. We didn't appreciate that. However, I wouldn't hesitate to stay at this Unit again. It was beautiful and a great value. Mahalo for giving us a wonderful place to stay... even if it did rain ALL week.
Hanalei Bay Villas 10 - this was a great place and we enjoyed it a lot,,we will be recommending it to our friends and we will be back
Waipouli Beach Resort C203 - We absolutely loved the unit. We were disappointed, though, that the resort is marketed as all beach front when our views were of the parking lots. We would have definitely made a different unit choice if that information would have been available. The only suggestion we have for the actual unit would be better lighting in the main living area.
Hale Aku Hanalei - Great place ... beautiful! Bedrooms great ... all good.
Best part of our trip was just hanging out in the area.
Bar Acuda was our favorite restaurant.
Advice ... be super careful with the floors!
I might avoid December next time it was a bit wet.
Next time we want to do more hiking and snorkeling ...
Thanks.

Taylor House - What we liked best is that the house had many things from beach towels to snorkeling masks, boogie boards, beach mats, etc. that we could use. The kitchen had plenty of spices and equipment for cooking our meals including two grills outside on balcony and lower deck. We loved the view, birds that would come to eat the seeds provided on the balcony. There were games, movies, books, etc for our use. We loved the Kauai guide books and used them quite a bit.
Customer service I received was pretty prompt and responsive to our questions.
The best restaurant we found was CJs in Princeville.
My advice to someone else staying at this unit would be that it may cause allergy reactions because of the carpeting and what we thought smelled like bug spray.
The part of the trip we would recommend to others is Waimea Canyon (look outs and trails) and the lighthouse view was spectacular.
The best insider tip we received was what to do if you are caught in an undertow in the ocean. The water looked OK, but later we realized we should be looking for life guards or know what to do when caught in an undertow. So, go to beaches with life guards or where there are others around (especially surfers who can come to your rescue if necessary).
I would recommend having activities and places you want to eat planned in advance so you can make reservations
and schedules for yourself.
Hale Ani - What I liked best about the unit I rented was that it was clean, comfortable, perfectly located and had wifi service which is helpful for insider tips and directions around the island.
Mohalu Princeville - The best part of the rental was the quiet (except for the roosters the first night) and the quality of the rental. Our landlady was very respectful of our privacy, but very kind also. The idea of an outside shower was strange at first, but when I tried it I loved it. We fell in love with the Wake Up Breakfast Cafe in Hanalei Bay. I am sorry I didn't call your office back once we were on the island, I had dreadful trouble with my Sprint cell phone (really don't like that phone) and we were out so much I forgot to try another method. We definitely want to try other things on the island and would like to come when it is not so rainy. I am afraid our lovely studio is not good with two kids (an 18 and 15 year old) so we will need at least a two bedroom next time. They were glad to be on their own but want to explore Kauai themselves.
