Paradisio Ho'o Kumu - It was an amazing experience. We loved our trip to Kauai and am glad that we stayed in poipu rather than the princeville area (heavy rain). Every room in the house had views of the ocean and we could hear the crashing of the waves in all of the rooms. It was great for entertaining friends for dinner, especially with the outside barbecue. The entire house was well-furnished with comfortable chairs and sofas. They also had a nice upstairs office with computer and printer that was helpful. The only negative aspect of the trip was that there is no air-conditioning (hot when cooking inside); however none of the restaurants that we went to had air-conditioning, including Roy's. Overall, outstanding experience.

Anini Lani Kai - Deborah is the Aloha of Anini Lani Kai. The beach there is amazing. We enjoyed going to the Farmer's Market and cooking at home. I have already recommended Anini Lani Kai to friends because of the cottage and it's location, as well as the wonderful hospitality (and massages) from Deborah. I highly recommend the Catamaran Kahanu, out of Port Allen, for a Napali Coast adventure. The captain is like a mother hen protecting chicks and his son is a real show man telling tales and weaving things from palm to educate and amuse. Mahalo

Hanalei Bay Villas 22 - Villa 22 is Well Equiped, clean and comfortable and man what a view!!! A nice partial view of Hanalei Bay and those gorgeous majestic mountains with waterfalls cascading down. Morning rains, pleasant Trade Winds and that sweet smell of Plumerias wafting in the air. We are already planning our next trip. The Luau at Gaylords is No Ka Oi, Try the little brazilian cafe in Hanalei behind Bubbas Burgers (which is also a must I might add). So much to do so little time. Can't wait to return to Kauai..Aloha and Mahalo

Hale Ohana Kauai - I liked the location and the service (not much required) was fine. The best part was being on the island and I can't say I found a restaurant I REALLY liked. I don't have to tell my friend anything because I brought them with me to the island. My advice to someone about this house is to plan to be outside from about 4pm to 7pm - the lack of AC makes the house uncomfortable. I didn't have time to just sit and read, so next time I'm going to plan on doing that. The best activity was the catamaran/snorkel trip I took with Holo-Holo. Thanx for asking, Chantal Berkowitz

Palaka - Palaka house is a lovely old plantation style cottage with a wonderful lanai to view the peaceful Hanalei Bay. Every morning we would have our breakfast on the lanai and most evenings watch the sunset from there. The company that manages the property was very helpful and friendly when we had a few issues come up. One of the problems is that mosquitos were entering the house and biting us! This is a reality in the tropical area of Hanalei, so we got some candles and mosquito traps and that seemed to take care of the problem Even though the beach is across the street, there is not public access there. You will need to walk or drive down to the public area. The water is very calm and great for children, but you will not be able to snorkle here. There is a popular surfing area near the pier, also there is a lifeguard at the public beach. Palaka house has an outside shower that has hot water, which we really loved! We also loved that the house is very private, with a yard surrounding it, so you have that feeling of home. Only drawbacks were the mosquitos and the roosters that start crowing very early! Thankfully I brought earplugs, but after the first few nights I didn't even need them, because I got used to the roosters and they didn't wake me up. I would stay here again because it gave me the feeling of old Hawaii and I was able to relax in this peaceful and tranquil home.

Sanders House - This house was perfect for the 4 of us ladies that travelled, we really enjoyed the avacado and banana trees in the backyard. This was the first time I ever booked online only, and it turned out perfect. The view from the windows was awesome!!! I would definently recommend this house and rental service to all my friends. The Queens bath hike and swimming was to die for, and the best insider tip I would give anyone would be to get that guide book "The Ultimate Kauai Guidebook", it was right on. The best shaved ice was in Hanalei, at the Wishing Well, and Topical Taco was also unreal. We will for sure be back!!! Thank you for everything!! PS The geckos were so cute, we didn't mind them at all.

Bali Hai Crow's Nest - What I liked best about the unit I rented was all the space that was available. The home is beautiful and very spacious. The best part of my trip was knowing that I would be sleeping in my own room. We traveled as one large family and it was nice to have our own space at night, or whenever we were home, to relax and read a book or just hear the breeze. The best picture I took was of us at the Hyatt Resort Luau. The food was delicious and filling and I had the best coconut cream pie ever! My advice to someone else staying at this unit would be to not worry about packing beach towels or boogie boards, they are already available with the rental and you will save a lot of space by not packing those bulky beach towels. The best "insider tip" I received while on my trip was to rent our snorkel gear. The rental is easy and you can rent the gear daily or weekly depending on your needs. We went to Boss Frogs and they were very curtious and resonable, about $9 for flippers and snorkel mask. If you can, visit Kauai during the Coconut festival in Kapaa. We were there during the festival and it was a great place to shop, eat, and learn more about the rich culture that is in Hawaii.

Pua Nani - The house was wonderful and the path to the beach across the road was easy and accesible. I just think the CD players need replacing or cleaned. We did take the scrabble board and played and then realized there we two mixed together, so now the is a actual scrabble game in full....

The home is really nice and we truly enjoyed ourselves.

6303 Hanalei Bay Resort - This condo at Hanalei Bay Resort (6303) was very nice, well appointed and comfortable. There were plenty of sheets, towels and without daily maid service, that was appreciated. The views were better than we expected which is always a lovely surprise. Overall, we would definitely rent this condo again and plan to do so as soon as we can. The improvement areas I would like to point out however are as follows: Our reservation was not in our name upon arrival and that caused some distress. It worked out fine but it was not fun to find that out at 8 PM on the day of check in after a long day of arrival, as we stood at the desk holding our paperwork that indicated our dates and paid in full. The return phone calls took three tries Monday morning over a two hour period before I reached a helpful person at Haw. Beach Rentals to tell them of our problem the night before and to assure me that our reservation was in fact intact. The dryer did not heat (it turned on but did not dry clothes) and a phone call to have that checked never did end up having anyone check or fix the dryer.

There were too many best parts of our trip to mention but because of the condo comfort and atmosphere there, we chose to cook dinner in more than eat out and we found the Fish Market in Hanalei to be a delightful place to purchase our dinner to cook. The best "insider tip" was to go to Queen's Bath and Secret Beach. We loved the beach in walking distance down by the Princeville Hotel mostly to watch the sunset and walk to the left as there did not seem to be many people down that way.

We are looking forward to our visit again and renting this condo with the adjoining one and bringing our children.

"The rental was most up to date with all amenities including washer and drier. a basket of fresh delicious fruits welcomed us , the unit was clean bright and very comfortable.
the best part of our trip was kayaking in hanalei bay with dolphins and sea turtles all around us, easy to do and worth the sunburned legs, ( Be careful)
Atv-ing in the mountains was a great treat, along with the beautiful hiking adventures. Trails are manageable and views are spectacular. Hard to put my camera down on this beautiful Island
Mahalo, we will be back
