to find the perfect Kauai vacation.
Palm Hale Studio - What I liked best about the unit I rented was the location. Right outside of town, across the street from a beautiful beach. Oh and they have a laundry room. Very nice! My advice to someone else staying at this unit would be to pack the bug spray. A small stream runs behind the place and you are bound to be found by them. Our favorite resturant was in Lihue, Harmura Saimin. Great noodles.
I did pay a deposit of $350.
Plumeria Plantation Hanalei - The house is in a perfect location to restrauants and the beach ..... facilities in house is just like being at home how great is that and you guys were great to deal with .... friendly and easy to communicate with .. many thanks
Pali Ke Kua 109 - What I liked best about the unit was the location and the view. We thought the interior was a bit tired, particularly the bathroom. There was a lot of moisture wear and tear. A freshened bathroom would go a long way to makiing this a fantastic spot.
Islander on the Beach 114 - Although it was kinda small, it worked out well for us as we dont spend much time at the room. Bathroom was nice and accesable. kitchenette worked for small things. Air cond was great, and it was quiet, considering location next to parking lot. Lots of storage in room for longer stays. Eat at Wahoo, just down street. wow... best food, service, presentation. meals were big enough to share, and appetizers.. Fantastic!!! Ate there 6 or 7 times in 10 days. Beaches up north are great.. find one to hike into.. virtually deserted, and sunnier than Kapaa.
Hale Kehau - We had absolutely everything we could ever need...right down to the night light! The beach at this house was very quite and secluded with great snorkeling. It was absolutely ideal!
Carriage House - We really enjoyed staying at the Carriage House. Loved the beautiful garden setting and the location near the Hanalei Prier. The house was fully equiped which we really appreciated.
Paradisio Ho'o Kumu - It was an amazing experience. We loved our trip to Kauai and am glad that we stayed in poipu rather than the princeville area (heavy rain). Every room in the house had views of the ocean and we could hear the crashing of the waves in all of the rooms. It was great for entertaining friends for dinner, especially with the outside barbecue. The entire house was well-furnished with comfortable chairs and sofas. They also had a nice upstairs office with computer and printer that was helpful. The only negative aspect of the trip was that there is no air-conditioning (hot when cooking inside); however none of the restaurants that we went to had air-conditioning, including Roy's. Overall, outstanding experience.
Anini Lani Kai - Deborah is the Aloha of Anini Lani Kai. The beach there is amazing. We enjoyed going to the Farmer's Market and cooking at home. I have already recommended Anini Lani Kai to friends because of the cottage and it's location, as well as the wonderful hospitality (and massages) from Deborah. I highly recommend the Catamaran Kahanu, out of Port Allen, for a Napali Coast adventure. The captain is like a mother hen protecting chicks and his son is a real show man telling tales and weaving things from palm to educate and amuse. Mahalo
Namahana Plantation Main House and Guest Cottage - The property was wonderful and exceeded our needs and expectations. Thank you very much!
Hale Ohana Kauai - I liked the location and the service (not much required) was fine. The best part was being on the island and I can't say I found a restaurant I REALLY liked. I don't have to tell my friend anything because I brought them with me to the island. My advice to someone about this house is to plan to be outside from about 4pm to 7pm - the lack of AC makes the house uncomfortable. I didn't have time to just sit and read, so next time I'm going to plan on doing that. The best activity was the catamaran/snorkel trip I took with Holo-Holo. Thanx for asking, Chantal Berkowitz
