The best part of the trip was the waether and being with our families.
The best picture we took was on the pourch with our entire family
My advice to someone else staying at this unit to have a car so; you can drive to the beach since it is not a walking distance specially if you have children.

As you enter the front door, you are surrounded by a tastefully decorated living and dining area with beautiful Brazilian Koa wood floors. The living room has a 60-inch TV and entertainment system with surround-sound that you can enjoy inside, outside, and poolside as well as plenty of DVD's and numerous family games. A fully equipped gourmet kitchen awaits you or, if you prefer, you can relax and enjoy the services of a private chef while you lounge on the large plantation-style veranda enjoying the panoramic ocean views, whales breaching, and breathtaking Maui sunsets. The veranda, perfect for outdoor entertaining, has alfresco dining, a 7- burner BBQ, and plenty of comfortable seating areas. Adjacent to the living area is the entrance to the spacious and beautifully appointed en-suite master bedroom. Waking up in the morning and gazing out at the ocean and island views from your four poster, custom designed king bed is magical.
Also off the living area is an Island-style guest bedroom complete with a queen bed and a 3 piece bathroom. From the main floor you descend a tiled stairway to the pool level and a second master bedroom and full bath. It also has a cozy living area, complete with a 42" BlueRay TV, surround-sound, an entire entertainment system, with comfortable seating and a pull-out sofa bed. A state-of-the-art wine cellar where you can store and chill some of your favorite wine selections, and a laundry room complete this level. The travertine-tiled lanai and pool deck area surround the lovely pool and spa and is a wonderful and private place for you to relax, sun tan or read your favorite book.
Its a short walk to the famed Ka'anapali Beach and Whalers Village. At Ka'anapali Beach you will find miles of golden sand and numerous beach activities (swimming, snorkeling, sailing, kayaking, surfing, scuba diving, para-sailing, whale watching, catamaran dinner and sunset cruises). Whalers Village boasts boutique shopping, award winning restaurants, live music along with Hula and Tahitian Dance shows. Starting from $895.00 per night. 25% down to hold a reservation. Balance due 90 days before check-in. $2,500.00 security deposit. $442.71 cleaning fee. 4% processing fee. Listed rates do not include tax. Holiday and peak season rates and required length of stay may be different than quoted above. Credit cards, cash, checks and wire transfers accepted. Minimum night stay varies amongst the various rental units. Many rentals have 30-night minimums.

Nice home, but disappointed in the cleanliness and lack of air conditioning on the bottom floor. There were tons of ants/bugs in every room during our entire stay. The property manager provided bug spray, but we were not comfortable using this since we have a young child. This home definitely needs to have a pest control treatment on a regular basis and a better cleaning between visitors. In addition, the bottom level of the home was not air conditioned and it was therefore very hot sleeping in the bedroom on this floor. On a positive note, this home has a great location and plenty of space for a family gathering.

Thank you for providing us with this guest feedback regarding our home Island Haven. As owners of this home we want all of our guests to be comfortable and to enjoy their stay at Island Haven. We were disappointed that you were not completely satisfied. With respect to the items that you were unhappy with please be advised as follows: Sugar ants are sometimes a nuisance in the tropical environment on Maui. To avoid any problems we make every effort to ensure that foods are not left out in the open. Left over food is placed in the refrigerator or in air tight containers. We also have retained Terminex, a professional pest control company, to ensure that our home is bug free. In this particular instance Terminex had scheduled their regular visit late and after the guests had departed. It is highly unlikely that any other guests will encounter the same nuisance. Our home is professionally cleaned and maintained. The cleaning includes departure cleaning, arrival check and mid-term cleaning. We have brought this review to the attention of the cleaning staff and have asked for them to ensure that they pay particular attention to cleaning details to avoid any future occurrences. The lower level of our home does not have an air conditioning vent. We are installing an air conditioning unit at this lower level to solve this issue. We hope that moving forward the guests staying at Island Haven have a wonderful time and will come back to stay with us in the future.
Island Haven was fantastic! We filled the house (8 guests) but didn't feel crammed. There was plenty of living space for everyone. The wraparound porch was gorgeous and we were out there for hours a day, watching the ocean, reading books, or taking a nap. The pool was incredible and the kids LOVED it. More pool and beach toys were provided than we could use in a week. We walked down to Whaler's at least once a day and it was great to have the restaurants close by, but so peaceful to walk away back to our 'Haven' when we were done, vs. the crazier, busier hotels. We had a few small issues (bugs - LOTS of ants, and pool heating) but the management staff was incredibly helpful and responsive. It was the best trip we've had in 5 years and we're ready to do it again in 2012!
