A large panoramic view of the ocean was appreciated by all of us and there was lots of room for our family to enjoy. For the rather high price we paid there were far too many short comings. Outside garbage was full when we arrived and stayed that way for three days hence we had to keep garbage in the garage. Coffee maker was very small for our group of 10 and did not not work very well. Not enough coffee mugs for our group and most of them were chipped. Only one side of the toaster worked. We ran out of propane on the 3rd day unable to use hot tub and gas range. There were no dishcloths and few dish towels. Remote in living room was broken (buttons on left side did not work). Racks in one of the dishwashers did not work. Could not close one of the major blinds in the master bedroom. There was no chalk for the pool cues. Pool was not heated and they wanted $200 per day to heat it to normal levels which we did not do as it just did not seem right after what we already had paid. Pool was only cleaned once a week and was very dirty with debris (our pool service at home always comes 2 times per week).

Let me start at the beginning, Linda Goy, the rental booking agent. She was wonderful to work with, friendly, professional. My next contact was Sandy Lundborg, again someone who was professional and informative. The house we rented was perfect for our family (9 adults,9 children 10 & under in age). We have rented several houses in the Caribbean and without a doubt this house in Maui was the best equipped by far. Given the size of our party, we had meals in more than out. The house was equipped with plenty of dinnerware, serving pieces, pots and pans. The house was large enough that we all had our own space, both inside and out. You could always find a quiet spot to read or just look at the beautiful surroundings. The beds were all comfortable and good quality linens and towels. There were two laundry rooms, which was helpful with our large crowd. Finally, the rental agent put us in touch with Karen at Hawaiian Fun and she helped plan and book our activities while on Maui. She recommend restaurants, which were wonderful and handled our party of 18 with no problems. We booked surfing lessons, paddle board lessons, a trip to Pearl Harbor on Oahu and a fabulous Luau through Karen. The only "glitch" was the cooktop. It was gas, which was great, however getting the burners to turn on and stay on was a little tricky. Also, the large pool was not heated and we were told it was propane and if we heated the pool, we wouldn't be able to cook. We opted for a chilly pool. The only other item was the wall to wall carpet was quite soiled, but with so many kids this was a relief rather than a problem. Overall this house provided us with a wonderful family vacation. Great location, great views, great house. I would definitely recommend the agents, and house to family or friends.

We had a terrific time at Kapalua Manor. The home is VERY relaxing owing to the size, decor, and incredible nonstop ocean views. The kids loved all the different parts of the swimming pools. It was great to be able to take some nice walks right outside the door to the ocean, hotels, restaurants, shop, etc. We really enjoyed the excellent service by Laurel Kenney at Vacation Rental Agent. She is one of the best I've worked with. Very responsive, great personality, and really willing to work with you and the owners of the properties. We also appreciated the good nature and helpfulness of Anthony, the property manager.

We all had an absolutely wonderful time at Kapalua Manor and I would have rated the experience a 5 if the air conditioning in the master bedroom and the bedrooms serviced by the same unit was functioning for the last six days of our visit. Despite the promised sea breezes it was quite hot at night. Otherwise, the customer service was outstanding.

The home was beautiful, had magnificent views and was in a perfect location. We loved that the bedrooms were large and each had their own bathroom, with the exception of the Master bedroom. We found it very odd that this was the only room in the house which had to share a bathroom with another guests. For this reason alone we would not consider renting this property again. Additionally, there were a lot of little problems with the house which created inconveniences for us. We did call the rental agency to get these items repaired and although the maintenence man came by and looked at the problems, none of the issues were actually resolved. A list of issues: BBQ light did not work so we were barbequing in the dark. The outside sconces (backyard) stopped working half way through our trip The locks to the bathrooms did not work one dishwasher did not work The handle in the master bath shower came off the first day we used it and was never securely on Both refrigerators did not work properly, the temperatures were at about 43 degrees which did not chill the food or drinks enough Thought you should know about these.

Thank you for your feedback. The BBQ light, dishwasher, master shower, and refrigerator have all been fixed. In order to accommodate as many guest's as possible, the 7th bedroom shares a bathroom with the Master Suite. Travelers with large groups are encouraged to review our plan tour and let us know if they have any questions regarding the layout.
