The Plantation Golf Course at Kapalua Resort

This course hosts championship play every year with the PGA TOUR Hyundai Tournament of Champions in January. Designed by famed course architects Ben Crenshaw and Bill Coore the "Plantation" gets its name from the former pineapple plantations that occupied what is now Kapalua resort. This well designed and landscaped resort area was formerly pineapple plantations but is now the home of the Ritz-Carlton Maui and 2 championship level golf courses. The grand scenic beauty of Kapalua is unique for west side as it sits upon a good slope allowing for wide and open ocean views, featuring the island of Molokai.

Tournament History:
Current home of the PGA Tour: Hyundai Tournament of Champions held annually in January, the top 12 cedes from the PGA Tour attend this invitational.

Local's Tip:
This course can get very wind affected in the afternoon, so morning play is recommended. Not every day is windy however, so use the weather forecast to your advantage.

Directions:
Take Hi-route 30 north out of Lahaina/Kapalua heading through Napili Road traffic light follow the road as it rises uphill looking for "Kapalua" signs and Office Road..
For the Plantation Course stay on Hi-route 30 as it continues past Kapalua Resort entry and turn right in one mile at the Course signs.
