We found this house with the help of Mary Kress in your office. I told her there were certain absolutes we were looking for. After several minutes (half hour or so), we liked this one. Her help was invaluable. The description and the pictures were helpful in making a decision. We were expecting a house that needed "freshing up" . This was incorrect. It has a truly ranch style feel about it, which we found to be charming and delightful. There was nothing drabby about the place. The hosts (owners) were friendly and more than helpful in finding great restaurants and places to see and places to avoid, all the while respecing our privacy. The location in Kehei, was very convenient for the many places and things we wanted to do. This house may be one of the best kept secrets on the island. One thing for certain was, the owners take pride in this house. The house was spotlessly clean on arrival; we kept, and left it that way the best we could. They obviously only want tennants that will appreciate being there. We did not have a bad meal in Maui, but, our favorite restaurant was Mama's Fish House. We enjoyed being on beachfront property, but our favorite beach for swimming and body surfing was Big Beach. I recommend the helicopter tour (Air Maui), parasailing (West Maui Parasailing) and a snorkling trip by boat. Nor Ka Hale is truly a 5 star resort (home) at a 3 star price. The only critical (unimportant) thing I can think of is, I would have liked a wide screen TV. I suggested that to the owner. He is considering that. We accomplished every thing we set out to do.

A hammock provides the ideal spot to relax or read a book. The golden sandy beach is protected by an ancient coral reef keeping the waves small and making it a perfect family beach. Ideal for snorkeling, swimming, fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, long walks or, simply to watch the sun set with a glass of wine.
The private pool is located off the living and dining area on the ocean facing lanai. There is a gas BBQ and outdoor shower just off the side kitchen entrance, ideal for rinsing off after an afternoon at the beach. A second covered lanai overlooks the lush back garden with a large koi pond.
The home features three spacious bedrooms each with a private ensuite.
Bedroom 1/Oceanview Bedroom: California King Bed. Ensuite with shower & jetted tub.
Bedroom 2/Gardenview Bedroom: Two Queen Beds with a double bed in the loft area. Ensuite with shower & jetted tub.
Bedroom 3/Main floor Bedroom: Queen Bed. Ensuite with shower & tub.
The two bedroom ohana can be rented in addition to the beach house. It has it's own kitchen, living area, laundry facilities, 1. 5 baths and two lanais. It does not have air conditioning.
Located centrally in Kihei Town, you are within walking distance of Kalama Park, restaurants, shopping, movie theaters as well as tennis and basketball courts. Beach and sports equipment available for use.
We have recently added a gym area below the ohana with free weights, benches, mats, balls. . . . There is also a full bathroom off the gym. .
