The house and location right on the beach were fantastic. the ulitmate beach experience!

However...several minor adjustments would take it from fabtastic to perfect:
1. Several large rats found inside kitchen...maybe screen doors with the double
entry doors might keep them out
2. Blender needs to be fixed or replaced
3. Toaster needs to be fixed or replaced
4. Unable to find beach toyrs for kids--mentioned in ad

Other than that--great time!!!

The Maui Beach Place is in an ideal location for a family that wants a BEACH vacation with the a fabulous sunset, swimming, beginner boogie boarding and snorkeling out your back door.Kamaole beach I has wonderful sand. The ocean was calm and windless every morning and rough and windy most afternoons. There was a gas barbaque which we used 3 times. We cooked most of our own food and ate on the very comfortable porch.There where 3 boogie boards, a nice pair of fins and lots of kids beach toys at the house. It is in walking distance of several restaurants, shops and a grocery store. It is a basic old fashioned Hawaiian beach house, not a luxury condo, which we liked a lot. The slate floor is impervious to sand and water. There is a line for hanging wet towels and we appreciated the washer and dryer . There is a public beach access, right next door which is a favorite for local surf fishermen and occasionally a hang out for people talking and laughing in the evening. The police came by a few times to ask them to be quiet after 10:00 P.M. There was never any trouble. We loved the whole wall of windows facing the beach, with binds for privacy when needed.One of the bedrooms has a garden view and is very nice, The 2nd and 3rd bedrooms are small and not particularly special but adequet for sleeping. We had no trouble with the house except that the phone didn't work. During our stay, there was smoke several nights from the burning of cane fields.
