Description

Beautifully decorated unit in quiet location with very nice garden views and a peek of the ocean. The Maui Kamaole is a luxury low-density complex, Tripadvisor rated 4.5 stars.

This spacious 2-story unit has designer furnishings and flatscreen TVs in each room plus Nintendo Wii for family fun. Air-conditioned with 3 separate lanais (patios), one off the living room, and one off of each bedroom. The upstairs loft master suite has a private bathroom with walk in shower. It is furnished with a pillowtop queen bed and large flatscreen TV. The second bedroom also has a queen bed, private lanai, and large flatscreen TV.

Maui Kamaole has 2 large pool areas, including the tropical pool with sand bottom spa/hottub near the E202 unit. Sandy swimming beach, Kamaole III, is across the street and can be accessed by walking through a meandering paved path through the beautifully landscaped grounds.

Starting from $199.00 per night. 50% down to hold a reservation. Balance due 60 days before check-in $150.00 cleaning fee. 4% processing fee. Holiday and peak season rates and required length of stay may be different than quoted above. Credit cards, cash, checks and wire transfers accepted. Minimum night stay varies amongst the various rental units. Many rentals have 30-night minimums.

What I liked best about Maui Kamaole E202 is the ideal location in Kihei - it was perfectly situated for going to beaches, within walking distance of restaurants and shops, and right across the street from the boat launch where all the good snorkel tours put in. The unit was beautiful, well equipped, very clean and quiet and we enjoyed our stay immensely.

The customer service I received was spotty. When I tried to call the rental agency few days before departure to make sure my reservation was in order, the voicemail box for Ashley in guest services was full, and I couldn't reach a live person for two days and could not get a callback. On the arrival date we had the same problem, couldn't get a live person on the phone, and the owner of the rental unit was traveling and was also difficult to reach, and we had problems with the electronic lock and couldn't reach anyone to help us. We fiddled with it for 20 minutes and finally got it to unlock, fortunately.

We did have better service later in the week when we reported a minor plumbing problem, and it was resolved the same day. While the unit itself was enjoyable, I don't think I would rent through this rental agency again because of the unresponsiveness and will try VRBO in the future.
