This unit has it all - you can experience the unobstructed oceanfront views of the coastline and Mt. Haleakala. You will love the trade winds that blow through this desirable south side location while whale watching from your own covered lanai / patio. This is true tropical living by the ocean! Menehune Shores is a quiet resort that includes its own pool and beach, manicured lawns and roof top & poolside barbeque areas. The Whale Sanctuary is right next door and public tennis courts are within short walking distance. The condo features ceramic tiles floors throughout, premium A/C, ceiling fans in every room, 42 LCD HDTV in the living room and a fully stocked kitchen. There are 2 queen size beds, 1 twin bed and a double pull out sofa in the living room. 3 TVs, DVD player, CD + iPod player, stereo, washer and dryer. The complex offers elevators, free Internet and free calls to the U.S. and Canada. Walking distance to shops, restaurants, great beaches, public tennis courts, art gallery and only minutes from the Maui Ocean Center Aquarium, Wailea and the airport. Starting from $250.00 per night. 30% down to hold a reservation. Balance due 60 days before check-in $300.00 security deposit. $110.00 cleaning fee. 4% processing fee. Holiday and peak season rates and required length of stay may be different than quoted above. Credit cards, cash, checks and wire transfers accepted. Minimum night stay varies amongst the various rental units. Many rentals have 30-night minimums.

It felt very homey. I liked the guest book. I would definetly reccomend to others and left notes in
the book. My only complaint is that the a/c lock box combination given me was incorrect not a big deal.
We liked so many things on our trip to many to list.

We liked Maui the best out of the 4 islands we stayed on. The apartment was comfortable and well supplied. The location was great and we enjoyed our stay. It is unfortunate that the owner chooses to not put adequate/any instructions about the location of the air conditioner controls. We were not the only guests who could not find them the first night. It is almost as if the owners do not want you to find them. While the beds were comfortable the sheets smelled of mold. The door hinges were squeaky and this was a problem in the night when someone had to get up. The apartment was very nice but possibly could use new tubs and the fridge is a definate eye sore. The grounds were amazingly manicured and the building very clean. We were sad we didn't get to go to the restaurant there as it sure smelled good. We enjoyed all the wildlife on the grounds and even saw a turtle swimming from our balcony. Our favorite part was sitting on the patio and listening to the waves during breakfast or cards later in the evening.

Instructions for A/C have been made clearer. Also, the Owner's phone # is given - please call us if there are any questions. The fridge was replaced in January 2010 (the old fridge developed rust spots on the doors from the sea air).

Guest Rating:

We loved the ocean view and being able to hear the waves. The best part of trip was being with my husband and daughter. Our favorited places to eat were Bubba Gumps and Stella Bellas.

I think that information should be more clear regarding the unit. Especially the A/C Unit. No where in my papers did they tell us that the remotes were in a lock box. It was very hot during our stay due to the humidity being almost the same as the outside temperature. Our first evening was miserable because of this.
