| There are plenty of vacation homes on Maui. If you are looking for one with all of the distractions of home, then read no further. If by chance though, you are searching for a a vacation home with your intent being to spend quality time with your family or friends, we may have just what you are looking for.
Our beachfront estate home is a true island getaway. Private, quiet, friendly, and away from the crowds. We do not offer internet or Wi-Fi. There are no video games or DVD players. We do not have a huge flat screen tv. What we offer is a large clean comfortable home for you and your family to relax and spend time together. If you do care to see a movie, it is less than a 10 minute walk down a safe, quiet street.
Our low rates are family friendly with comparable quality homes in the area renting for twice a much.
You will, most likely, rent a car but as many of our guests have discovered, you probably won't be using it much. We are walking distance to over a dozen restaurants. Grocery, pharmacy and all other variety of shopping needs are all within a short walk. Nou Ka Hales onsite caretaker keeps our tropical gardens always looking their best. He is very familiar with Maui, especially the South shore and is happy to provide directions or recommendations.
Nestled on the desirable sunny south shore of Maui, Nou Ka Hale is a step back in time. Located at the end of a 600 ft. private, gated drive, sits a custom home built in 1947 for a prominent local family, the finely detailed exterior and tastefully decorated interior showcases Hawaiian/American antiques with period art throughout.
Our large estate home features three spacious bedrooms each with its own private bath and beautiful views of Haleakala, Lanai and Kahoolawe. The family living room and separate semi-formal dining room sit off the covered lanai. All three have unobstructed views of the pool, palm shaded lawn, huge play area, and ocean beyond.
With indoor and outdoor dining, custom built barbeque, fully equipped kitchen and Maytag washer and dryer. There is even an outdoor shower, the perfect place to rinse off when returning from the beach.
All beaches in Hawaii are public domain. The beach behind Nou Ka Hale is not easily accessible to the public and retains a sense of privacy. Just 250 feet from your lanai, the warm salt waters of the Pacific are perfect for wading, swimming and snorkeling. An ancient coral reef protects the gold sands, so there are no large waves, making this a perfect family beach.
Everything about this home reminds us of a time when it took days, not hours, to visit Hawaii. A time when only a few lucky families vacationed to this faraway paradise. References will be gladly furnished upon request.
