Hale Napili

This location is a great combination of being close to the pool, beach, shopping and restaurants. Made it very easy for a family to plan.

Annette M., Tangent, OR, 1.27.12

Hale Napili

All in all a fabulous place to enjoy the best of Hawaii. Close to town but the house was private enough to afford one the luxury of some real down time. Gorgeous beach and house and pool. I would definately use this property again if the opportunity arrived.

thanks - Jon Dunlap

Jon D., Portland, OR, 1.11.12

Pacific Paradise Estate

Great place - next time would like a pool instead of hot-tub as never used it.

Barbara N., Rossland, BC, 1.4.12

Hale Napili

The location was perfect, loved the private pool & cove full of turtles. The best part of this house is the slider door in the living room that opens the whole space to the outside. Definitely, my favorite feature. We all enjoyed the living space to hang out and cook together. The Market was just 2 minute walk, everything we needed was so close. We travelled the whole island, climbed Haleakala on our bikes, did the West Maui loop, drove the road to Hana, checked out the South Maui, Big Beach, Lahaina & Whalers Village and we feel Hale Napili was a little piece of heaven. Loved the residential feel not a big resort, not a lot of people, the beachs were all great , Napili, Kapula, Oneloa, Honoloa Bay, and the Intra Coastal Trail.

Our favorite dining experience was Sansei in Kapula fabulous food. I will forward the link to all my friends and would stay again it was truly a fabulous place to stay. Mahalo, for sharing such a special place.

Maryann H., LAKEWOOD, WA, 11.21.11

Napili Gardens 13

Location was not on the beach, but certainly very close. The worst part about the trip was the traveling to and from; however, the actual stay there was very nice. Could only open garage door with door opener and the button in the apartment, but that turned out to work ok. The garbage disposal did not work when we arrived, so my husband fixed it!
The rooms were great! We only spent sleeping time at the apartment, but would not hesitate to go back again at anytime!

I would recommend this apartment for any family except ones with babies due to the stairs. It was very quite, very little traffic, and easy access to anywhere.

Beautiful Napili Bay 200 Steps to the Beach

This is a great unit. It's an end unit right at the front of the complex. It has great home feeling and extremely clean. The owner is very nice and makes sure that you are doing alright. She wasn't kidding that this unit is extremely close to the beach. Beach access is extremely easy and the snorkeling is pretty good since you don't have to pay for anyone to take you to a spot. Just get in the water, swim for a couple of minutes and the coral and fish are right under you. My 14 year old nephew and I saw an eel and a sand shark which was very cool to see. The neighborhood this unit is located is very nice. It's also only 10 miles away from lahaina and approximately 5 miles from Kaanapli. I would rather stay here than in a hotel or resort cause it felt like home and it is a full kitchen and good size patio with a BBQ. Its very comfortable for 6 to 8 people. I hope to stay here again when I come back to Maui.

Darrin L., Pasadena, CA, 7.23.11

Anuenue Hale

An absolutely beautiful property in a great location! The house is very spacious, luxurious, and well constructed. There is no need for A/C as the natural breezes in this area keep it quite comfortable. The patio and waterfall hot tub are wonderful. There's an excellent sound system that even feeds outdoor speakers, and the owner was nice enough to bring by an adapter for our MP3 player. Our 5yr old also loved mastering the multitude of light and fan switches. There's a small beach just 2 houses away, plus access to the rocky shore at the tip of this point where you can watch the sunset and turtles. There are no shades on any windows though, which would have been nice at least in the bedrooms, but it is a very secluded neighborhood so it was not a big concern. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend this property. Booking through Vacation Rental Agent was also a huge plus. Our agent was aware of a temporary discount for this particular property that wasn't listed elsewhere, and was extremely helpful without being pushy in any way.

Paul W., Bothell, WA, 5.29.11

Pacific Paradise Estate

What I liked about the unit I rented was that it was immaculate! It was very well decorated, very clean, and we were greeted with fresh flowers in many rooms, as well as a welcome gift of Hawaiian coffee and macadamia chocolates. Our caretaker was there to greet us and show us around, arrived promptly when we needed help with something, and even called to check on us to make sure there wasn't anything he could do to make our stay more pleasant. It is actually more luxurious than the pictures portray, and the landscaping is beautiful, especially the private backyard which surrounds the grill and hot tub. We will definitely recommend Pacific Paradise Estate to friends who visit Maui!

Linda S., SOUTH ST PAUL, MN, 5.15.11

Napili Kai Hale

We absolutely loved our six nights staying at Napili Kai Hale! We had 6 adults stay in the home and it was very comfortable. The downstairs living area was perfect for enjoying the views and playing cards at night. We spent a night in and cooked dinner with all of the appliances provided it made so convenient. I would absolutely recommend this home to anyone looking for a quaint vacation spot. The sea turtles gave us a nightly show, they were an absolutely pleasure to watch feast on the moss in the rocks outside the property. Do not expect to swim in the water with them, there are too many rocks, however we were able to snorkel at the Sheraton (Black Rock) in Lahaina and swam with the turtles there. The property manager, Richard, was a pleasure to work with and so helpful. We will be back in a year! Mahalo.

Carly G., La Habra, CA, 4.22.11

Anuenue Hale

Hale Anuenue is truly a beautiful property with first class finishing and a wonderful kitchen. The gardens are meticulously kept. Located on a quiet stretch north of Lahaina it is within minutes drive of several wonderful beaches. We would definitely stay there again. We recommend the Pineapple Grill (in Kapalua grounds) for an excellent meal out.

Barbara M., Saskatoon, Saskatchewas, 2.27.11

Napili Gardens 13

We loved the location of this rental. It was close to the beach and we had a great walk along the ocean everyday. Everything was really nice & the couple of small problems we had were fixed right away. You do need to bring your own beach towels & if you need an ice chest for day excursions.

Tina and Doug S., Roseburg, OR, 2.21.11

Napili Kai Hale

The house was beautifully located, well-equipped and very private. I loved sitting in the yard watching whales (binoculars needed) and the turtles. The customer service was great - Allen (and Tess) were very nice, prompt, informative and helpful. I also really liked being able to walk to a good swimming beach and to the rocky point for the best turtle watching.

Sarah K., Steamboat Springs, CO, 2.5.11

Hale Napili

Beautiful place, close to all activities on the west side of Maui. Great for children and large families.

Julie A., Saint Cloud, MN, 1.25.11

Napili Gardens 13

The unit we rented was convenient, comfortable and very clean. We were told very clearly how to access the condo, and also how to leave it. We would certainly stay at Napili Gardens again, and would recommend it to friends. We loved Maui and having such a great place to stay only added to our enjoyment.

Richard B., Ottawa, Ontario, 1.16.11

Jade House

We very much enjoyed our stay at Jade House. There were some small issues with the plumbing but overall things were great. The location can't be beat & the snorkeling was excellent. Some work on the cupboard doors is needed & the 2 windows covered in plastic didn't hold in the high winds. The flapping noise was very annoying. We would stay there again. It would be nice if someone could turn off the buzzer for the dryer as well. We are looking forward to a returning at some time in the future

Cindy T., Sacramento, CA, 12.4.10

Jade House

This is a lovely home. The setting was beautiful, we loved watching the turtles in the cove and the surfers on the point. Swimming with the turtles was a highlight for all of us. Pupus at the Sea House were fabulous, and being close to the Kahalua Trail was great for walking and biking. If you like noodle dishes, go to Star Noodle in Lahaina, off the beaten path.

Patti J., Bend, OR, 11.8.10

Jade House

The location was great. Napili beach is great for kids and the bay outside the window is wonderful snorkeling.

Dora H., Denver, CO, 10.31.10

Anuenue Hale

We really loved the Hale Anuenue house! Perfect for 3 couples vacationing together with three full bedrooms and three full baths. Two quiet beaches are a very short walk away, and the rocky point at the end of the street is a wonderful place to watch the sunset and share some wine. The outdoor hot tub with waterfall is really more like a small swimming pool that can be enjoyed warm or cool depending on your preference. The only minor negatives are the lack of ac, and no washer/dryer which would have been nice. We might not have missed the ac if the trade winds were blowing a little harder since the house is set up to capture them with the windows open. All in all, a very wonderful experience!

Craig P., Montrose, CO, 10.27.10

Jade House

From the moment we arrived at Jade House we adored the location. It's on a beautiful side street, right next to a bay that at any given time has five or more turtles to snorkel with. The house itself is beautiful, and we didn't have any issues with cleanliness. The location can't be beat. It's big enough for 8 people, and having breakfast or dinner on the lanai, watching the bay, is something you'll remember forever. We would stay there again.

Carita R., Altadena, CA, 5.15.10

Jade House

The house is overall good, with it's great location and views. A description of how to get access to the bay would be nice for future guests. It needs some upkeep and attention to finishing detail. The left master bath sink faucet is loose and dirty on top of the counter. The master air conditioner does not work. The kitchen has inadequate pots and pans, and the glassware needs updating and rounding out the # and selection. There was no garage door opener available, and we were too busy to track one down from you. This could easily be a 5 star property with attention to these and other minor cosmetic fixes. Keith Lanier

Keith L., West Linn, OR, 3.29.10

Jade House

The location was lovely. Wish there was access to the bay. The house itself was pretty and unique. Wish it had been cleaner. Loved the floor plan and number of bedrooms. Would have preferred more bathrooms. View is spectacular. Wish there had been more outdoor furniture. The location was very convenient to some beautiful beaches that were good for my small children. Very nice restaurants in the area. Became quite fond of the Sea House. The gated road gave us a very secure feeling. Some parts of the house have been remodeled and are very nice. There is still work to be done. We could not get the BBQ and hot tub to work. We were evacuated due to a Tsunami warning. We spent the day up at the Ritz Carlton's pool which is just 10 minutes away. This house isn't perfect, but it's a very nice deal for the price.

Elizabeth S., Portland, OR, 3.5.10

Hale Napili

Hale Napili is in a beautiful location and the house itself is lovely, and the owners are very helpful. It is well set up for large groups and I would not hesitate to recommend it. My only caution is that accessibility to the pool/beach is not very good for seniors or others with mobility issues, though even in this respect the owners were able to suggest a very workable solution.

Doug C., , , 1.27.10

Magic Aloha Hale

The house was absolutely fabulous and I would highly reccommend it for large families who want to create memories of a lifetime. The turtles visiting everyday was awesome, the beach was great, the views simply off the charts, and the house has everything you need. Eddy, the pool guy, is a great person that goes out of his way to see to it that you enjoy the pool and spa. We loved it!

Paul B., Roseburg, Oregon, 12.23.09

Jade House

The Jade House was a nice location. The house itself needs some repairs and updating. I did not feel it was that clean, but with everything being old, it may be difficult to clean. The master bath outlet would cause the electricity to go out whenever a blow dryer was used. The master bath faucet was coming loose with lots of rust coming off and falling in the sink. The couches in the living room were old and uncomfortable. The owners used covers that did not fit and came off all the time. The house is in a neighborhood of million dollar homes (the one across the street is on the market for 8 million), so I determined if the house had been in better condition the rental amount would have been higher. I definitely recommend the owner do some work. The pictures on the website give the impression the house is pristine which it absolutely is not. The location was great though. We could walk some distance to some nice beaches. It is unfortunate that there is not a good way to get to the cove in back of the house. We tried walking behind a couple of the houses and the owners were not excited about us doing that so we had to walk on the street for to access the cove. I don't think I would rent this house again unless some of the repairs were done.

Jena N., Austin, TX, 7.29.09

Jade House

I don't think this house could have been in more of a better spot. The views and scenery are outstanding. I would stay stay there again.

Jade House

Great house in a great location!!! Beautiful views from almost every room... hottub was great to get in after a long day of swimming, hiking, etc. We enjoyed watching the whales playing out in the ocean, you could see them so clear! Also the turtles down in the cove were fun to watch and snorkel with, there were so many of them!!!! I loved that the bedrooms were downstairs where you could hear the waves crashing below, very peaceful!! We had some bad weather while we were there (this part of the island is rainer than the south and west) but it was still enjoyable. Napili Beach was a little small so we drove to Kaanapali (only 5 - 10 mins away) and hung out there most days... great snorkeling and fun cliff jumping! As for the unit the house is amazing!!!!! Very spacious and clean. Everything in the kitchen worked well and the beds and couches were very comfortable. I definitely now prefer to stay in a house versus a hotel. We went down to the fish market twice (just down the street) and cooked fresh mahi mahi and shrimp at the house. I highly recommend that over going out every night. If you enjoy snorkeling you will LOVE the location of this house. To get in the cove however you do have to walk to the street and around (the house sits up on a cliff so you are unable to get directly in the water). I was worried about not having A/C but this was not an issue at all. In fact it was almost too cold at night, we had to shut some of the windows! We did go during a cold week (it was in the lower to mid 70s) but the trade winds are great in this area so the house stays cool and as breezy no matter how warm it gets outside. We did a catamaran sail to Lanai which was great and the Drive to Hana was amazing, this is a must do while on Maui!!! I highly recommend this house and location... however if you prefer warmer air and water temperatures do not go in winter! the water was about 74 degrees (very cold) however we heard in the summer it gets to be about 80 - 82 degrees!!! Also we learned that the south part of Maui has the most sunshine, so that is also something to consider b/c its about a 50 minute drive from Jade house to South Maui... We will definitely stay @ Jade House again!! Highly recommended!

Jade House

Three stars out of 5. A wonderful home that is slowly decaying. If you squinted your eyes you could imagine what it once was. Don't get me wrong, the place in its location is worth millions. The house accross the street is selling for 8 million. Even as a rental though, there needs to be some preventive maintenance. All the ground floor windows need updating (rot) and many of the rest. Although it turned out to be perfectly fine, my initial reaction was not good. The carpet downstairs needs to be replaced, it's actually torn and totally worn. The kitchen cabinets need to be properly cleaned with new bumpers put on. The sticky part of the bumpers is all that remains and the cabinets don't have knobs so they were difficult to open. The washer and dryer beeps a lot when in use and could be fixed too. The agent I dealt with at Hawain Beach Rental agency, Renee, seemed confident that the home had only a few steps. I asked her directly if there were many because at 83 my ankles and legs are very week. Much to my dismay the home had multiple levels. I had to go up and down stairs a lot. With that said the home was a good choice for a group of people to enjoy. One of the 4 bedrooms was a loft that my daughter and husband ended up with. The house is not perfect for 4 couples. Three couple and up to four kids in the loft woulld be great. The master bedroom is the best. Being right on the water and hearing the waves crash against the rocks was wonderful from all parts of the house. Turtle we constantly in the waters below. Most of my children and their spouses snorkled as I watched from the balcony. The house is only 20 feet from a twenty foot drop to the rock lined cove. I enjoyed watching everything, including dozens of whale, from most any part of the house. I wish there was access to a beach from the house, but a short drive wasn't bad. We all felt safest in the gated community, but didn't feel threatened anywhere. We weren't disappointed with any of the resturants we went to, but Kobe had great food and the best sushi. The weather and beauty is the best part of Maui. It's getting overpopulated and polluted, but is still beautiful. My advice for someone staying here is not to expect 5 star perfection, like at a fine Hotel. The home has everything you need to enjoy your time there including a grill, a hot tub, great cookware and the ocean. A beautiful setting that was worth what we paid. We didn't pay the asking price so we were happy to stay there and would stay again for the same price.

Its location, the setting, spaciousness, a good location for a family reunion!

Jade House

Beautiful Napili tri-level home above a great snorkeling cove. Wonderful tradewinds breeze throughout the home so no A/C wasn't a problem. Parking is very tight. Highly recommend. Will definitely return.

Magic Aloha Hale

The house, the view and the accomadations was just overwhelming. Your staff was just wonderful and helpful. Our trip celebrated our 50th anniversary with our family and renewed our wedding vows on the lanai of Magic Hale watching the sunset. We went to many different resturants ate out doors and all were great. The best picture we took was with my family on the lanai. I already told my family and friends that is was paradise and didn't want to come home. I would highly recommend Hawaii Rentals. Thank you for all your help.

Ann and Pat D., Parlin, NJ, 5.7.08

Napili Kai Hale

We loved the home, very comfortable - the stained glass is amazing. Loved the seal & turtles swimming in the inlet. Loved the sound of the waves. Great sleeping sounds! We were disapointed it wasn't a swimming beach - guess we'll know what to ask next time. Roy's is a GREAT restaurant, right around the corner & fabulous food. If the waves are high, try DT Flemming beach w/boogie boards - what a blast!

Nancy M., Longmont, CO, 4.30.08

Magic Aloha Hale

The house is beautiful and the location is fabulous. There were 7 of us on this trip and we all had a great time. We snorkeled right off the tiny beach in front and saw several sea turtles almost every day. We cooked many meals (fresh fish off a boat at Lahaina wharf) in the house kitchen and it was nicely outfitted with everything we needed. The pool & jacuzzi area is really nice - great place to work on your tan. We played a great round of golf at Maui Lani, and we went on the Pacific Whale Foundation whale watching/snorkeling tour out of Kahului which was really well done. Our entire group voted this trip the beat vacation ever! Thank you.

Mary J., Cloverdale, OR, 3.31.08

Napili Kai Hale

This is a wonderful light filled house with incredible ocean front views. The house is very comfortable with a nice kitchen for multiple cooks and open to the living area so cooks can still talk to the other guests. The Master Bedroom has a spectacular ocean view and easy to operate light blocking electric shades. The master bath has no door closing off the bedroom but is large enough that privacy is OK. The furnishings are very comfortable but somewhat worn. All the mattresses are comfotable and in good condition. We did not use the central air conditioning because the ceiling fans were very adequate. The beach is easily accessible down concrete steps at the beach wall. BUT do not expect to play on the beach at this house. The beach is very small and mostly rocks. Only very good swimmers should think about entering the water from the beach at this house because of the rocks, surf and tide. The house is located on a very nice street of well maintained homes. The Kanapali Resort area is 5 - 10 minutes drive and Lahina is 10 minutes away. There is a medium size but well stocked grocery store very close to the house. The street has no thru traffic and almost no park and walk traffic because the beach access trail is small and leads to a rocky point which is only used by a few local fisherman. I enjoyed my time at the house and would not hesitate to rent it again in the future.

Gregory M., West Hollywood, California, 2.14.08

Jade House

I took the entire family to Maui and our stay was wonderful. I heard nothing but wind and waves as we relaxed on the turtle-filled cove. The house was very accommodating for 8 and we would return.

The Jade house was very enjoyable. We shall return in the near future.

Mark Y., Salem, OR, 7.16.05

Hale O Wailele

We had a wonderful stay at Hale O Wailele. The whale watching and turtles were fantastic. Not to be matched. The views spectacular. Their stereo system needs a bit of an update and/or repair on the speakers (they pop). The pool was too cold to swim in this trip but the decor in the home great!!! We were VERY comfortable!! Dryer has a slipping belt and was a bit noisy. Dryer duct is not sealed. The amenities were wonderful though all in all!!! It would be nice if you could turn the waterfalls down or have just one on at a time. We didn't use them much even though they were cool to have there. Very gracious owners.
