Wailea Elua Village 2 bedroom Ocean View

I have stayed at Elua in the past and were very disappointed with the construction noise . We have a little boy and he still naps and it was very disturbing he did not nap well and that means my wife and I are not well . Also when at the pool it was so load we always had to go to other beaches to get away from the hammering , for the price we paided I am very disappaointed I wish I would have known about the construction.

Wailea Ekahi 48C

The unit was nice, but the owners should step it up a bit. It felt like the place was outfitted at a garage sale. Nothing matched, and everything was purchased as cheaply as possible. The new kitchen is fine but the all the utensils are dated, and not even non-stick. Spend a few hundred dollars to bring the pot, pans, flatware, dishes, etc into the 2010's. The 2 baths were fine, but the towels were clearly hand-me-downs from their primary residence and none of them matched. $100 at spent Macy's Home sale this weekend would help. Same thing with the bedding, When were those pillow cases made? 1970? We've stayed at Ekahi and Ekolu many times, and this unit showed the least pride of ownership we've seen. 48C is not on our list of places to return to.

Wailea Ekahi Village 1 bedroom Ocean View

Two bathrooms, modern, great view, quiet, close to beach, easy to find. Would stay here again. Our maid came in daily... 'Fely'?... was very pleasant, wouldn't touch anything on the bed and left notes to let us know why... kept us well stocked up and very polite.

I felt that the kitchen was very low on necessities, which is not an expensive to fix. We did not have a large salad bowl, mixing spoons, only one spatula, the tongs were too small to actually use the main bbq's. Other than that the service was exceptional, the location and other conditions were great. Thanks Debbie

Wailea Sunset Bungalow

We were staying for 7 days at the Wailea Sunstet Bungalow with our 10 year old doughter. We enjoyed and liked best the location, view, privacy, comfort, sunsets, snorkling, ..... The bungalow was very well equipped, we got familiar at once and enjoyed all the accessories we faced. Perfect BBQ, nice kitchen, outside shower, even chopsticks where there ;-) The close distance to some of the nicest beaches of Maui was a blast. Daily we went to Big Beach or just the next one for Body Surfing, Boogie Boarding or snorkling. There were always plenty turtles around. One evening we joined the Grand Luau at the Grand Wailea Hotel. This was excepitonal and we can recommend the Show, the food and the drinks. As we enjoyed staying at the Bungalow so much, we decided do skip excursions like the road to Hana or driving up to the Haleakala. We spent some days bevore on Big Island and saw plenty of Volcano and Rain Forest, so it was ok to skip the sights of Maui. The only place we went on the Island beside Kihei and Wailea / Makena was Lahaina, what we liked a lot. The only complain we have about the Sunset Bungalow and Maui is the long distance from our home country Germany. An exhausting trip to go - but worth it! Mahalo and Aloha

Wailea Sunset Estate

Everything was perfect! Beautiful house in a beautiful setting, absolutely couldn't ask for anything nicer. The staff were extremely helpful, and they were very thoughtful, down to every little detail in the house (the fresh flowers everywhere were especially nice). We will definitely be back, and would recommend VRA to friends.

Wailea Elua 1803

The view was the only positive about the unit. It was tired and FILTHY. The bathrooms and kitchen were in a disgraceful state of disprepare. The beds were horrible and not fit for a decent night sleep - we never slept once and had sore backs. The worst part of our stay was the fact that this complex is NOT family friendly. We specifically booked the unit because of its ground floor location and access to the lawn for our children to play. we were told on the second night that they could not play on the lawn EVER and then told that they could not play in the pool - EVER. We ended up having to book another hotel in order for our children to play and enjoy a pool.

Upon arriving, I thought we may have had the wrong unit since it said we would have a peek a boo view of the ocean. Instead, the picture we saw on the website was from our neighboring unit and we couldn't see the ocean at all. When we started to explore the unit, we opened the closet and found a 6 in. centipede on the ground. After realizing it was dead, we calmed down and my dad threw it outside. (We knew they were dangerous, but the locals told us that it was unlikely to see one and that it was indeed not good it was in our unit) At night we went to open up the couch to lay down and once it was set up, my mom laid down (who has had numerous back surgeries) and fell right through the couch bed. After investigation, the entire one end of the bed was ripped and there was no possible way we could fix it. My mom is not a big lady either. We were willing to deal with these issues because it was Hawaii and vacation. We then realized we were almost out of toilet paper and I requested we get some more. They told me that only two rolls were included and we had to purchase the rest. This threw us over the edge as we had been more than accomadating with the unit so far. We actually had to complain about $5 worth of toilet paper to get it. We were not even provided with 2 full rolls upon arrival and felt that since we were paying hundreds of dollars per night that we were at least entitled to that. After all of this, we woke up to several cockroaches in our sink. We found out later that they had just sprayed high dosages of chemicals on all of the flowers to kill off the bugs around the unit (not just this unit, but the entire complex). This was disappointing to me as we were coming on vacation to get rid of our worries that were associated with my having cancer a few years before, so being surrounded by the things that made me sick in the first place was aggravating. I do want to say that the management company was quick to respond and did provide us with an air mattress in place of the couch, which was nice of them, but our overall experience left something to be desired. The grounds are beautiful, and the walk to the beach was not bad at all, but the unit itself was not stellar. Each unit is different though since they are privately owned, so many of the other units looked outstanding. Maybe because I designed resorts for a living I am a little picky, but I feel like we were duped.

Wailea Sunset Bungalow

What an adorable beach house with the most perfect view of the ocean! Just like the larger Estate house we had rented next door, this home was beautifully decorated and well equipped. I would love to come back just to sleep in the king sized bed that the kids described at a feeling like a great big pillow. Mahalo.

Wailea Sunset Estate

You could not ask for a better location than this! The home is beautifully decorated and well equipped and the views truly spectacular. We loved that we could walk to the beaches in just minutes and the huge grass lawn was a hit with the kids who still needed to burn off energy after swimming all day in the pool. The rental agency made our trip a breeze to book and the introduction to the house easy. All the staff that entered the home to either clean or work on the grounds were extremely friendly and professional. Thanks for taking care of us! There are so many restaurants to choose from in the Wailea area: Nick's Fishmarket next door at the Fairmont is amazing and so was Spago at the Four Seasons. Matteo's Pizzeria was a delicious meal in a family friendly environment - you must try their cheesecake with mango sauce. Mahalo to the owner of this home who allows families like ours the opportunity to spend a bit of time in heaven.

Wailea Sunset Bungalow

what we liked best (other than the location)- was how fully equipped the kitchen was, all the extra towels, etc, just seemed like you thought of everything to make it the home away from home! advice to someone else staying here would be, you don't need to bring much of anything other than yourself --- don't need beach towels, ipod stereo dock, shampoo, pillows (they were great, as well as the beds), .... etc. I'd also advise to take the walk along shore on the path that goes by all the resorts --- nice walk for the evening & to have a cocktail before the sunsets at the four seasons -- didn't realize what a pretty walk & how short & easy it was until our last night. It was a perfect place for our family, we like to cook & my little guy had room to wiggle outdoors without any trouble. thank you for a terrific place to stay! we'll definitely pass the word along. Hoku at Ho'olei Grand Wailea - Includes Complimentary Grand Wailea Resort Access

A great place to spend some time in paradise and I would highly recommend it to anyone. The aminities provided exceeded our expectations. Kindly note that the two glass butter dishes in the refrigerator crashed to the floor and shattered upon opening the doors. I would suggest that they be replaced with plastic ones.

Wailea Elua 2303

The grounds crew at Wailea Elua was in an almost constant state of noisy trimming, blowing and mowing. At times it was so bad we neede to close the windows and doors. The street noise added to it and spoiled the feeling of peaceful Hawaii. I would suggest when you are renting condos there that the renters would be told about location in regard to the street and ocean. we expected to be closer to the ocean and had no idea that so many condos had been built up to the street.

Wailea Elua 2106

Very dusty and old furnishings. Smelled musty. The drapes were sheer and provided no sunshine protection for sleeping in. Desperately needs some TLC. Be prepared for 3 flights of stairs and a brisk 10 minute walk to the beach and its all uphill on the way back.

Wailea Ekahi 34F

We had a great stay at Ekahi 34F, and hated to leave. The unit was very comfortabe and well appointed. The few issues we had were dealt with immediately by the on site managers. Excellent view from the lanai of the ocean. Also, it was well located for getting to various acitivities. This was our firt trip to Hawaii, and we would return to Ekahi 34F.
