Wailea Ekolu 906

The view was very nice, the landscaping was beautiful, the agency managed our arrangements very well, we would not hesitate to book this rental again, but the unit could have been a little cleaner.

Ocean Bliss Estate

Paradise Paradise Paradise. Great location, great house, great amenities, great all around. Would return to Ocean Bliss Estate again, again, and again.

Jennifer B., San Diego, CA, 5.22.12

Puamana 48-2 33 Standard GV

The condo was very well appointed, and comfortable. We had 7 people in our party, and never felt crammed for space. The location of the unit was convenient to Lahaina, and the highway to other parts of the island, but we didn't hear the traffic noise in the unit. The booking agent service was top notch. The only downside wasn't the fault of the property managament or the unit itself; the next door neighbor smoked, and the smoke would enter the master bedroom window. We would book the unit again, and recommend this rental to friends.

Brad F., Vancouver, WA, 5.19.12

Mahana Resort 906

The Mahana is built so that every apartment gets ocean front view. And the view is spectacular. Unit 906 has not been updated and is showing its age, it does not represent a $900k property.
Would we go back? Yes, for the location and the view. Duke's restaurant next door was very good.

Hale Kohola

The house of whale is absolutely amazing. We all love the open layout, numerous art work and the gigantic whale sculptures on the ceiling. The view was somehow blocked by the trees, but still fantastic. There is a lot of thoughts put into designing this house. So why 3 stars? I have stayed in many vacation rental properties in US and Europe, but this is so far the stingiest. There is only one used roll of toilet paper in each bathroom. There is only a tiny little bit of everything left in the house including, dish soup, hand soup, laundry detergent, dish washer detergent, paper towel and napkins. It's hard to believe that previous guest used everything until the very last drop. We had to buy everything for just a 5-day stay and we couldn't use them all. Of course we leave them in the house, and we hope the next guests don't need to buy every single household item. Even motels provide at least one spare roll of toilet paper. The quality of the tiny soap provided in the bathroom is really bad. It's just doesn't match a beautiful house like this one. I think guests would have a much better travel experience if the manage company add $50 to the rental fee so they can phase out all old kitchen appliances from the 80's and stock everything. The kitchen is huge, but it's not designed to cook. There is only an electric stove that doesn't work very well. The only very old coffee maker takes about 25 minutes to make one pot of coffee. All kitchen appliances are really old and all knifes are really dull. We found several dirty, unwashed dishes hidden among clean plates in the cabinet. It's very disgusting to find dry meat on several greasy plates when we try to serve dinner. The patio table on the 2nd floor has a thick layer of dust on it. We tried to clean it, but it's just too dirty. We all like the house and the location, but there is a serious problem with the management. At least they should remind renters that there is no supply at all in the house, and they should buy every single item before they get to the house. We went grocery shopping before we get to the house, and then we found we need to go out and buy supply. But everyone was so tired after a long flight. This is just something the management company should consider. We definitely will consider other vacation rental company next time.

Maui Banyan G-201

We were delighted with our entire Vacation Rental experience. Our agent was very pleasant and helpful in booking the property we selected. When we checked in the property, we were very happy with the property. We were across the street from the ocean, and within walking distance (a block or two of several great restaurants and shops. The condo was even nicer than the pictures showed. and it was very comfortable and well equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed, from dishes to appliance to kitchen utensils. The owners also thoughtfully provided an iron and ironing board, two boogie boards, beach umbrella, and three beach chairs. We would absolutely book this condo again. Based on our experience, we plan use Vacation Rental to book our next vacation lodging, and would definitely recommend them to friends.

Tropical Breeze Estate

This was my second stay at Tropical Breeze in the past six months. The first stay was to get engaged and my second stay was to get married. Simply perfect is the best way I can describe our experience. I would and will be booking TB again and will recommend it to any friend visiting the islands!

Daniel A., Secane, PA, 5.14.12

Wailea Ekahi 46F

Excellent location. Loved the kids pool and the access to the beach. Great location for walks and long runs. We had a great time and plan to stay there again.

K.L. C., Torrance, CA, 5.4.12

Napili Kai Hale

This is not our first time at Napili Kai Hale, but unfortunately, it will probably be our last. We stayed at the home last year around this time and it was amazing what a difference a year makes. The house is becoming very run down. The guest shower curtain had mold and overall it was just very outdated. The location cannot be beat, however we'll take our chances with another rental since this home has lost it's charm.

Carly G., La Habra, CA, 5.2.12

Polo Beach Club 2 bedroom Prime Oceanfront

The service was excellent and the people in the office were very good. The view from the balcony was unbelievable. Really the only complaint is the furniture and the decor was very dated. On the whole things were very good.

Maureen A., Vancouver, BC, 4.30.12

Lahaina Palms

Everything was perfect and the house is so lovely, all my friends and I liked it so much! Thanks to the owner because the house was really well furnished and we didn't need to buy anything but food. And they were also very friendly.

Filippo S., Lumezzane, , 4.25.12

Ocean Breeze

Customer Service was outstanding, Hedgie is the best and very knowledgable!.....The bugs do like to pest, but at the end of the week you felt as though they were just part of the group....maybe alittle more exterminating needed so you don't spend the mornings picking at bugs that appeared over night. The house beatiful, fully equipped with everything you may need. And yes I would definitely booked this home again....

Patti K., Des Plaines, IL, 4.22.12

Ocean Bliss Estate

The location of the property is supreme. The customer service was excellent. We would like to rent this property again and would like to be notified of any specials that may be offered by the property owners in the future. Thank you for allowing us to experience your wonderful home. We are grateful. God Bless.

Joe & Bonnie C., Riverdale, CA, 4.16.12

Hale Napili

Hale Napili is a beautiful private home - we were a group of 4 adults and 5 teens and there was enough space to be together but also lots of private space, too, with two great rooms and balconies overlooking the ocean on both floors The grounds are beautiful and walking to the pool and cove were a plus. Great views and great location - walking distance to Kapalua and a local market/coffee house and a short drive to Ka'anapali and Lahaina. Property management was very responsive while we were there. Home was well decorated, open and airy. With the exception of the boogie boards (6 and all were broken) and beach chairs (all were in disrepair) the amenities were what was expected of a home of this type- clean, well kept and nicely decorated. We would book again - perfect for two families. Concierge services helped with kayaking, sailing and golf and managed all reservations and payments. Would definately recommend.

Karen B., Los Gatos, CA, 4.14.12

Maui Sunset 401A

We had a really wonderful stay at Maui Sunset.

Alina U., Coquitlam, BC, 4.11.12

Keiki Kai

The residence was very, very nice. Just a few siimple suggestions...very lite on Linens
(bedding, blankets and towels) Plus, the home owner should definately update these items. They should also install hooks in every bedroom and bathroom. When swimming and bathing everyday it was frustrating trying to find somewhere to hang your towel or suit. The 5th bedroom is in the garage. It is fine, just kind of weird. I would never count on it for kids though!!! The Booking agent was wonderful and the Property Manager was very sweet and always available. We did really like the home and location. Baby Beach is like a lake, calm and quiet for the very young travelers. Just a short walk...definately rent a car to get to the other beaches. Our kids enjoyed Kaanapali beaches more beacuse of their ages 9-12years. They wanted waves!!! Only 5 minute drive! Love the house, Love Lahinia, Love Maui!!!!!

Vicki N., Maple Grove, MN, 4.9.12

Wailea Beach Villas Penthouse 309

This was our second time staying at Wailea Beach Villas and, once again, the accommodations were outstanding! Extremely comfortable and well maintained. We were overlooking the kids pool this time and found it a bit loud at times, so we would probably look for a unit in a different location next time.

Diane F., Calgary, AB, 4.6.12

Pulelehua House

We stayed here with my parents, my sister and her family and my other sister (7 adults, 3 toddlers/infants) and had a wonderful experience. Location was superb, the views were beautiful and the pool was the perfect thing to come back to and hang around in while the kids were napping. Kapalua Bay and Napili Bay are very short drives away with the Ritz and coastline, many restaurants within walking distance. 15-20 minute drive to Kaanapali and Lahaina if you are looking for something a bit more commercial and crowded, but we loved that everything felt just homey. The linens were great, the kitchen was great to cook in and the grill also good quality. We ate half our dinners in and Sansei is also a walk away (although we drove with the occasional rain deterring us from walking). They had provided us a high chair and a couple of booster seats which came in handy. The kids can't reach the sink, so that was a bit of a challenge, but other than that, it was super kid friendly. Beach toys, chairs and boogie boards provided. Kids loved the pool too. Advantage was that it was a great house to lounge in if the rains came too. We intend to rent this house again! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Maui Sunset 207A

The rental unit and the property were average and adequate. I like that the property was on the ocean side of South Kihei street so that beach access was easy. Note that this end of Kihei is much windier on average that a few miles east.

I was surprised at the lack of aloha and remarkable uncaring and unhelpfulness of the staff.

According to the contract, the check in time was 3 PM. I picked up the keys at the front desk after 3 PM and was suprised to find the front door of the rental wide open and a supermarket shopping cart in front of the door and lots of loud noise (TV) from inside the unit.

It took several minutes to realize I hadn't found the wrong condo, it was the cleaning staff occupying the unit. They didn't finish until after 4:30 PM.

The woman at the front desk basically treated me like I was her problem and she needed to ignore me except for the dirty looks she gave me. She even refused to answer general tourist type questions about the island. She quite effectively communicated that she could not care less about me.

The first contact number for the rental company on my printouts landed me in voice mail.

I called a few more numbers on my printout and finally spoke with a man, David, who apologized for my inconvenience, and that was nice. Later I spoke with a woman in Honolulu who was nice but basically said there was nothing she could do and suggested I talk with the people at the front desk again.

I was never offered any compensation of any kind for my inconvenience due to the fact that the rental agent did not adhere to their own contract.

Apparently the rental agent can ignore their written contract and basically shrug their shoulders. Perhaps I don't understand the meaning of "contract". I guess it means stuff I must follow, but just non-binding suggestions on their side.

Also, when I checked in, I was told that there wasn't wi-fi the room. I managed to find the wi-fi for the unit, and eventually guess the password, but my stay would have been more pleasant if they would have simply furnished the information.

I am definitely telling everyone I can not to do business with this rental agent.

Anuenue Hale

Beautiful accomadation. Family had a very enjoyable stay. High quality rental with quality finishing and fixtures throughout. Close access to ocean, we were able to walk 5 minutes to the shoreline and watch the turtles breaching at sunset. Most walkable beach areas weren't great (too much gravely sand and rocks) but most of nicer beaches in the area were only a 5-10 minute drive. Which if you're packing food/gear for family you likley will be doing anyways. Very quiet area, so will have to drive if looking for nightlife/restaurants. Owner very helpful and accomodating. Nice to have use of beach towels, chairs, scuba gear etc. Would have been nice if that was more apparent in rental description as we had all ready rented gear elsewhere before arriving. Not many negatives, a rental guide outlining how to work some of the electronics/appliances (ice machine) etc. would have been nice. No operable A/C but trade winds kept things very moderate, had to keep windows open though which meant a few bugs that had to be dealt with. Would definitely recommend.

Floral Gardens Wailea Beach Villa

Wailea Beach Villa is a spectacular resort for relaxation and location. Accomodations are top notch and you are in walking distance to the best shopping and restaurants. This is a place I would recommend to family and friends and a location I look forward to visiting again.

Simply put we plan to rent again for our next family vacation.

Bella Mare Estate

I was a little hesitant about renting a home. But with the size group I had, I didn't see any choice. From the time I walked into the Bella Mare, I knew this was home. From the welcoming greeting we received from Floyd to the spectacular view! There was not one thing I would change about this home. It was very hard to explore the island, we always wanted to be on the patio enjoying the view, whales and the relaxing atmosphere. We can't wait to go back. There was everything we needed right down to the hairdryers in the bathrooms! We will have such great memories of our home on islands. I would recommend this home for sure.
Thank you!!!

Very comfortable house, wonderful grounds, pool heated! and a beach with lots of Turtles. We would rent again in this complex and recommend it to friends.

Pulelehua House

What a gorgeous home this is, with beautiful furnishings, a convenient location, and so much space. Our entire family of 4 (2 young kids) fit in one of the bedroom suites alone. The home's layout offers a lot of privacy and impressively good sound proofing. Everything is built and furnished so tastefully that it is really comfortable just to stay in the house when you can't make it out elsewhere. The kitchen is amazing. The pool and jacuzzi are great with ample space and chairs to sunbathe. We watched the sunset from the back yard every evening. The kids enjoyed walks in the private neighborhood in the mornings. Kapalua Bay is a 5 min drive away, not crowded, and great place to snorkel. This house was perfect for our large family vacation, and would be great for any large family or multiple family vacation. We would love to come back and stay in the future.

Maui Sunset 312B

Stayed in B 312. Very nice unit with partial ocean view. Clean and well equipped with good internet connection. Pool was clean and refreshing. Fridge could use an update as it struggled to keep 38 degrees. Would stay again. Good whale watching with Pacific Whale Foundation.

Steve J., Tacoma, WA, 3.26.12

Island Surf 403

The unit was a great place to stay. Close to a lot and the beach. It's clean and suited our needs very well, and the view of the sunset is great.
The pull out couch could be replaced though, its mattress is in horribe condition.

Anna G., Toronto, ON, 3.23.12

Honua Kai-Konea 919

The condo was lovely. Our favorite part was sitting out on the lanai in the mornings for breakfast. The whale watching was phenomenal. We could even see spouts from the lanai. Despite 5 days of rain and wind, we had a fantastic trip.

The one thing that would have been appreciated would have been if the people who cleaned the unit at the mid point of our visit had left us additional bar soap, lotion, shampoo, etc.

Debbie M., Arvada, CO, 3.22.12

Jade House

Sure there are more than a couple items that could stand an updating/ change, but overall I felt this house was maintained well considering I'm sure it is rented almost constantly with it's amazing location and view. Snorkeling in the bay below is incredible and not all that difficult to get to if you follow the directions given.

Traci M., Madison, WI, 3.20.12

Endless Horizon

We loved this house and had an amazing vacation there and will definitely be back again! The house is beautiful and everything the pictures show it to be. Spacious rooms, beautifully appointed kitchen with high end appliances and everything you need to cook both simple and elaborate meals, plenty of room to spread out and relax either inside the great room or on the lanai - you could not have asked for a better place to vacation. The house is a little more high tech than normal but all of us work in technology so we had no issues figuring it all out. We hooked up our iPod to the dock and listened to music all day throughout the house while lounging on the lanai by the pool, it was truly relaxing. The house is super close to Lahaina so in 5 minutes you can be downtown or 10 minutes to the grocery store. We booked surfing lessons though the vacation rental site and not only was the agent helpful but the lessons were more private than most and Zach Howard whom she recommended and his team were awesome. It was our 20th wedding anniversary and our friends had Chef Jason Paul flown in to cook us a special meal. Jason is a professional private chef and I have to say this was one of the best meals I've ever had - I highly recommend him if you ever get the chance. Carol the property manager was super friendly and helpful and met us on the property and showed us around. The rental agent was super helpful and made everything very easy to book. This was one of the best vacations ever!

Sara N., Monroe, WA, 3.20.12

Hale Kalani

What a wonderful place! Knowing that Lahaina is just down the road and knowing the wide disparities in price between this place and others in the area, I didn't know what to expect, but I was happily surprised. The place is really pretty with nice bamboo floors, a way-too-big-for-vacation television, and a full kitchen including an outside patio with grill that we took full advantage of. It really is a 5 minute walk from a gorgeous beach and a very beautiful running path. We had 6 adults split into the 3 rooms, and while none of the other rooms could hold a candle to the master bedroom, we all slept very well and very comfortable. The garage was full of beach stuff (including towels, noodles, chairs and umbrellas) too -- an unexpected surprise. That said, if I get the opportunity to visit Maui again, I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Matt ., , , 3.19.12

Hale Lele Villa

Hale Lele Villa was so much more than we expected! We had 16 in our group and all were very pleased. We would definitely stay there again. The views from the decks are awesome! It was clean, beautifully landscaped and the gourmet kitchen had what we needed. I would recommend this place to friends and family.

Carolyn H., Westphalia, MI, 3.13.12

Hawaiian Dreams

This house was absolutely wonderful and had the most beautiful panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean, Molokai, and Lanai. We loved it and it was equipped with everything you could possibly need. We would definitely rent this house again. Mahalo!

Nicola P., Eden Prairie, MN, 3.13.12

Pulelehua House

Beautifully furnished 4 bedroom home w/ an above sea level view overlooking the ocean from the back & side of house. Awesome Maui Sunsets are also enjoyed from this magical location. The home is set atop a lush & tropical landscaping on the Western side of Maui in Pineapple Hill Estates - an upscale, gated community. The neighborhood has a serene and welcoming feel to it and all of the homes are newer and very well kept. The house is well equipped with quality appliances and fixtures - the spacious kitchen is a gourmet chef's dream come true - complete with wine cooler, 2 dishwashers, commercial grade gas stove & double oven. Plenty of glassware & kitchen utensils. The master bathroom has this beautiful walk in shower that features a ceiling showerhead along with the standard wall showerhead & handheld shower (all high quality) -you will not be disappointed! Plenty of room to comfortably house our 9 family members, the youngest being 17 years old. Although it was not needed, I did see baby stroller and crib. There is also wi-fi that works quite well & a wireless printer if needed. The interior is immaculately clean & the exterior is perfectly landscaped, featuring an outside shower, grill, patio, pool & jacuzzi. These facilities made it convenient for a lazy day by poolside or for rinsing off from a day of beaching & boogie boarding. The jacuzzi was a big plus to relax & recap a long day of sight seeing with family members or for inspiring conversation under Maui's night sky of stars! Location is perfect for those who wish to be close enough to downtown Lahaina but far away enough to get away from the hustle & bustle of tourists. Near excellent dining & the best beaches around- only a 5 minute drive to "slaughterhouse beach". 15 - 20 minute drive to Lahaina's Front Street (depending on traffic). The House Manager was informative, helpful & kind. Highly recommended! Vacation rentals are a little pricey on Maui, but I really feel that this location is well worth the money and is a real value.

Honua Kai- Konea 339

We had a fantastic view of both the ocean and an island.Service was pretty good, however wasn't over the top.We had to drive to the property managers office to pick up beach towels approx. 15 min drive both ways.Condo was a nice place however it had minimal cooking attire. example. lack of bbq utensils, few bowls, no baking trays/pans,no vacuum.Great place for kids.Duke's was an excellent supper.Next year we'll definitely be taking the road to Hana.

Bob T., Saskatoon, SK, 3.6.12

Luana Kai D-206

the unit was so clean and bright we felt we were the first people to ever use it. We particularly liked the built in washer and dryer - very handy. The snorkel and fins the owner made available were also appreciated. We left a body board for future visitors rather than try to take it home.

We enjoyed the central location and the easy parking. We had an excellent vacation. Thank you for everything

Maui Sunset Condo 303B

Upon entering the unit and settling in, the unit looked fine and dandy. When we later on glanced at each others feet and socks they were black. Very dirty floors prevailed throughout. My estimation is rather obvious that the cleaning crew just simply broomed. Lanai also had a layer of dirt/dust so it really left prints. Needless to say I washed the floors myself to feel comfortable walking around. Also went to brew some Kona coffee but noticed the glass receiver (canister) was cracked in a few places on the bottom of the pot, so I decided not to use it as I didn't want it to break on me and have to go purchase a new one. Other than listed above, the unit was very nice, layed out well. Enjoyed our visit immensely. Loved that Maui Sunset is open, airy, saw lots of children just playing in the yard, could walk to the beach for sunsets everyday. Customer service was excellent Best restaurant we ate at was Kimo's and Cafe O'lei The next time I come to Maui I will eat at Mama's Fish House, I have heard so much about it, also didn't make it to The Gazebo, a favorite of mine. Thank you for recommending Maui Sunset.

Beautiful Napili Bay 200 Steps to the Beach

We spent over a month in the townhouse and had a great time.We had two couples join us for a week each and our son and his family joined us for 10 days. Everyone enjoyed their stay. Short walk to Napili Bay, a little more to Kapalua Bay which was my favourite, both are great for swimming and snorkeling. The walking trails in Kapalua are very nice and some can be quite a challenge. The house was exactly as described and shown in the pictures. Lots of beach chairs, boogie boards, umbrella etc. The double garage was a real bonus for storing the beach stuff and keeping the car, no need to worry about removing valuables. Everything was clean and well maintained. The owner met us when we checked in and explained everything to us as well as showing us the lay of the land. If we needed anything she was always prompt to respond to our questions. Nice BBQ on the large deck, nice and private. The kitchen was well equipped and functional, lots of dishes and silverware. Walking distance to several restaurants, Merrimans, The Seahouse, The Gazebo and the BBQ guy across the street on Wednsday night. The BBQ guy is not to be missed, he rolls his smokehouse in to the parking lot right across the street every Wed and starts serving at 5:30. Be there early though, people start lining up around 5 and he sells out quickly. Great smoked chicken, pulled pork, brisket etc. All great and very reasonable price. We had two memorable dinners at Merriman's and The Pineapple Grill. We tried The Seahouse for pupus and lunch several times, it was OK but nothing special, great location on the beach though. I would recommend this to others looking for a place that can comfortably accomodate 4 - 6 people and have easy access to the beach. All in all a great place and a great location.

Kapalua Manor - As seen on HGTV House Hunters On Vacation

We had a terrific time at Kapalua Manor. The home is VERY relaxing owing to the size, decor, and incredible nonstop ocean views. The kids loved all the different parts of the swimming pools. It was great to be able to take some nice walks right outside the door to the ocean, hotels, restaurants, shop, etc. We really enjoyed the excellent service by Laurel Kenney at Vacation Rental Agent. She is one of the best I've worked with. Very responsive, great personality, and really willing to work with you and the owners of the properties. We also appreciated the good nature and helpfulness of Anthony, the property manager.

What I liked best about the unit I rented was the unit felt like home and the patio was very inviting. I really liked that they had beach equipment to use. The customer service I received was great very informative. The best part of my trip was being in Maui with my best friends and family. I learned that the land we were staying on was the families land. The best restaurant I found was in our kitchen we had a great friend and chef stay with us, Harry Stoher from NYC his restaurant he operates is called Pan American. The best picture I took was of myself (us) of all of us for my gold party I can't wait to tell all my friends that Maui is a magical place. My advice to someone else staying at this unit would be stay awhile, enjoy yourselves and bring friends or family. The part of my trip I would definitely recommend to others is hanging on the beach and watching the whales and do as much as you can while you are here. The best "insider tip" I received while on my trip was go to the Gazebo with friends or family and while you are being sat down make sure to order the magadamian nut pancakes 2 orders that way when they arrive the table will be pleasantly suprised. I didn't have time this trip, but next trip I'm looking forward to going surfing.

Menehune Shores 320

This condo is well furnished, clean and great for two couples. I would stay at this unit again! I did like the location of the unit on the island, it was easy to get around and see attractions without any real effort. I liked how the owners and prior guest leave extra stuff they have purchased (books, movies, road to hana cd, etc) The other tenants that live there were all very nice and helpful. Great Place.. Great Vacation Rental!

HALE KALANI ROCKS! We had a fabulous time staying in this lovely and comfortable townhome at Napili Bay. We were 4 adults and 3 children (9,6 and 2) and had plenty of room. It was extremely well-equipped; we particularly appreciated all the beach gear (towels, mats, chairs, toys, boogie boards, beach bags). The photos on VRBO are accurate and the condo is very clean and tastefully decorated. The beach at Napili was very close - a 4 minute, very pleasant walk (and that's at a toddler's pace!). We loved the beach because it had so much to offer: great snorkelling (wonderful variety of fish and sea turtles), shade (in the morning), nice breezes, fun surf, lots of other families, nice restaurants (on the beach and nearby), whale watching (in season) and beautiful sunsets. We spent most of our time there, but also explored nearby Kapalua beach (a walk away) and Kaanapali beach (a short drive away). My brother thoroughly enjoyed the golfing at Kapalua. Nothing is too far in Maui and we felt we had time to do a fair amount of exploring without having to drive great distances (Haleakala, Lahaina, Molokini crater - we did also go to a beach in Kihei one morning, but much preferred Napili!), Jeff was very welcoming and made sure to check in with us to make sure we were having a good time and that everything was in order in the house - no worries there! Thanks so much for a wonderful stay!

Napili Kai Hale

The home, gardens, view from inside the house as well as outside is lovely. All rooms felt roomy and inviting. It was nice to have outdoor seating, an outdoor grill(s), outdoor shower, and access to the water front. Customer service was friendly, helpful & available as needed. The best part of my trip (at Napili Kai Hale) was watching the sunset while enjoying pupus & a tropical beverage. We did a lot of cooking & didn't seek out many restaurants -- but enjoyed dinner at Merrimans just a short drive up the road. Nice views, delicious local food and good atmosphere. We took photos of the sunset regularly in the backyard a perfect setting for terrific photos. I look forward to sharing stories of our whale & turtle encounters. February is a terrific time to view both. The weather can be a bit breezy and rain a bit more in Napili don't despair, just head south 5 or 10 minutes. Generally, the snorkeling, whale watching, etc is best in the early morning. Go on the sunrise tours for clearer skis and calmer waters. A good local market with daily fresh fish is TIMES Supermarket, about 3 miles south. The kitchen is roomy & has good appliances, if you intend to cook, bring your favorite (necessary) utensils, including a chef's knife, carrot peeler, lime squeezer, etc. You might also consider bringing your pillow.

Affordable Maui Vacation Rental

The best part of the unit was the location. It was such a short walk to the beach and the main road. The unit was also fully equipped with everything we needed, especially in the kitchen. We had loads of great restaurants nearby. Be sure to try Sansei for sushi and Fat Daddy's Smokehouse for some killer BBQ. We also caught great sunset views at Moose McGillicuddys and they had fast, friendly service. My advice to other staying in this unit is to make sure you have plans to rent your own snorkel gear and boogy boards (or bring your own), as there are none in the unit. Some of the highlights of our trip were the whale watching tour through the Pacific Whale Foundation, sunrise at Haleakala, shopping in Lahaina and Whalers Village, and snorkeling in south Maui. We attended the luau at the Wailea Mariott but were not that impressed for the price ($100 each) and that it was inside instead of on the beachfront. I'd recommend purchasing "Top Maui Restaurants" by James and Molly Jacobsen, their dining out advice was priceless. Because of their book we ate very well with great value every single time we went out. The unit also has a copy of "Maui Revealed" which contains a lot of great information about Maui, we had purchased our own copy of this book but referenced it constantly. Aloha!

Pacific Islands View Home

What I liked best about the unit I rented was The open floor plan. Amazing layout for a family with 4 master suites. Incredible ocean views. Everything was top quality - what you would expect from a multi million dollar home. The customer service I received was Overall - really good. Nice people and we were able to text with any questions, etc. My one concern is the propane usage. I wish there was a more transparent way of measuring / dealing with that. We just got home today and it's a mystery to me what we will be charged for propane. Doesn't leave a good taste in my mouth. The best part of my trip was Evenings on the lanai. Standing in the kitchen or sitting on the lanai itself - it all felt like one huge open space. The best restaurant I found was Always a fan of Sansei sushi - went there multiple times. Have to have the Dungeness Crab Ramen with Asian Truffle Broth soup!! The best picture I took was of myself (us) We hired a professional photographer - http://mariahmilan.com/blog/ - and went down to Baby Beach in Lahaina and had an amazing session. The photos turned out wonderfully! I can't wait to tell all my friends that We're going back next year - come with us! My advice to someone else staying at this unit would be Book it for a long time - it feels like home after a couple of days and we didn't leave that often. We have 2 young children and we were able to float in the pool when they napped. Wonderful! The part of my trip I would definitely recommend to others is If you're into cycling - cycle up to Kapalua each morning to get the day started right! The best "insider tip" I received while on my trip was Baby Beach. We've heard of it before but always sort of ignored it and did our own thing. Our 2 1/2 year old could walk out 100 feet and only be up to her chin! I didn't have time this trip, but next trip I'm looking forward to Cooking more of our own meals. (We don't cook) This home has an excellent kitchen and we think next time we'll bring some recipes and try our hand and cooking. A great place to learn! You can't go wrong with this home - my wife and I have been going to Maui each year since we met - and we both said this was our best vacation to Maui yet.

We enjoyed staying at this unit. It had everything we needed. A bit outdated but so is everything else in maui. Love the location, close to shops and great food. We would recommend maui sunset to others and will definitely stay here again on our next trip to maui. We were not charged a security deposit.

Hale Ono Loa Modern Oceanfront Corner Condo

The condo was beautiful. The pool was way too cold to swim in but the beautiful views almost made up for it . We appreciated the use of the boogie boards and beach chairs. The area seems to be very windy but again the views are the best we have ever had in our 9 trips to Hawaii. Seven days are never enough we would always suggest at least 10 days. We had a fantastic time in 309 and we will never forget those views. Thank you.

Endless Horizon

The home is beautiful inside and out. The view of from the poolside is incredible. The home is easy to get to and with in reasonable distance of everything. The two master bedrooms were very comfortable. The two smaller bedrooms could use some maintenance in the showers. King beds in all rooms as well as shades on the shower windows would have been preferred. I would reccommend this home to family and friends, and if I return to Maui, I would stay there again.

Sugar Beach Resort 535

this unit was everything we had hoped for. The view was spectacular, had all of the ammenities we needed, comfortable and quiet at night. The location served us well in terms of proximity to everything we wanted to do on Maui, and the beach itself was beautiful. Highly recommend.

The bedroom and the bathroom and the deck with the birds sings. The customer service was great. Best part of my trip was going to the beaches together. Cooked at home did like maui taco for lunch. We just love Maui, and we love going out for snorkel on Boss frogs.

Whaler 624

I'd first like to state that Mary Kress of your company did an exception job helping me decide on this unit. She was so friendly and honest in answering my questions and showing me several possibilities. Because of her I would refer all of friends to The unit was very clean and well appointed. We only had a few problems - the ice maker kept making ice and spewing it onto the floor! Also, the door lock to the unit would stick in the open position. A spare blanket for the foldout couch would be nice. The staff at the Whaler, specifically Michele Moore and TJ at the pool, were fabulous. We were celebrating my sister Amy's 50th, along with my sister-n-law Meredith, and had Michele book several great excursions for us. The whalewatching, Feast of Lela, and snuba were all great fun. She called Momma's Fish House and got us a hard-to-get reservation and secretly informed them of Amy's B-day. They outdid themselves in making the dinner exceptional, and a lifelong memory. Thanks for everything! Jane Cahill

No Ka Oi Hale

It is a wonderful house right on the water and very well maintained. The owner was in touch with us throughout our stay and made sure that everything was perfect. We spent so much time on the covered lanai in back just watching the water, the sunset, etc. and were very sad to leave. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to be within walking distance of shops and restaurants in Lahaina but still feel like you are in a peaceful out of the way spot.

Christopher F., Los Angeles, CA, 2.13.12

Kihei Treehouse Cottage

We had a great week in Maui. The Treehouse was perfect for us. We had good air/breeze coming through the open windows and ceiling fans to keep the air moving. It was very comfortable. It was better than nicelarge marble tiled shower, for instance, and private! Couldn't hear a thing from the owner-occupied house portion, and we didn't feel they were hearing us, either. There was a rooster, not living at the Treehouse but roaming the neighborhood, whose earliest wakeup call was at 3:13 a.m. apparently right outside our window (it seemed). We laughedroaming chickens added another dimension to the memories. We noticed chickens tend to roam freely on the island in general. (What a good life for a chicken!) It was a good neighborhood, great location, well maintained inside and out. Lush landscaping view from the deck and fun to have a herb garden available for our use. The bird song (not chickens ) echoing in the treetops each morning sounded like a tropical jungle and gave the place a magical tree house feeling. I would rate this between very good and excellent, and will recommend it to friends who prefer the beach to lounging poolside, who would like to BBQ and hang loose on the deck (very welcoming place to hang out) and eat in, and are coming to Maui as a couple. For first-timers to Maui, we didn't hang out at "home" as much as the place deserved. We had beach chairs, cooler, snorkel equipment, boogie boardsand much moreat our disposal. We were very pleased with this find. Mahalo!

Rick & Janet S., VANCOUVER, WA, 2.13.12

Paki Maui 313

We loved the BBQ'S by the ocean. The location was very convenient and we loved the fish market across the street. The pool was great and I loved the chairs on the lawn by the ocean. Everything we needed was there, laundry, cooking etc. The instructions we received prior to leaving were excellent and we had no problems finding it or getting in. The only thing I was not pleased with was the description said we had a king size bed and it was only a queen size and since my husband and I are both very tall this wasn't the best for us. There are so many great things to see and do. Our favorite was the blowhole. We loved hiking and drove the road to Hana which is the most beautiful drive we have been on.

Gloria B., Leduc, AB, 2.11.12

Maui Sunset 401B

We loved the condo! It was great to have access to the beach towels, snorkelling equipment, boogie boards and cooler that was there. (We didn't use the lawn chairs, but was nice to have the option). We packed lunch most days and were home to Barbque in the evenings. The air conditioning was nice, we used it at night so we could keep the windows closed as there was some traffic noise. So handy to have the laundry facilities. Really cuts down on what you need to pack! Staff at the front desk was very helpful and all the tenants are so friendly. The yards are kept beautifully. We didn't use the pool as the kids loved the ocean, but it was a well kept and very clean area. As were the tennis courts. It was nice to be able to walk across the lawn about 100 yards right to the beach- not the best beach for swimming as there are rocks in the water, but beautiful to walk along or watch the sun set. I would definitely recommend this place to others. Bonnie Saskatchewan

Bonnie S., Dinsmore, SK, 2.10.12

Lahaina Shores 511

Loved the Lanai, watching whales with morning tea, noon time, afternoon, etc.
Watching whales from the lanai with sunset glass of wine.
Comfortable bed, sunny, airy, light room,
everyone was friendly - staff as well as vacationers.

2 things that i missed --- wish the beach was really swimmable there, I was sorry to have to drive to swimming beach - it is really VERY shallow and rocky.
also, really missed WIFI. We were quite surprised to find that there was none available in the building at all.
That said, we would definitely come back here again!

Wailea Elua Village 2 bedroom Ocean View

I have stayed at Elua in the past and were very disappointed with the construction noise . We have a little boy and he still naps and it was very disturbing he did not nap well and that means my wife and I are not well . Also when at the pool it was so load we always had to go to other beaches to get away from the hammering , for the price we paided I am very disappaointed I wish I would have known about the construction.

Kahana Outrigger 1B1

This is the second time we have stayed at these condos. We have been very happy with both stays. The only thing we needed was some chairs or chaises to take to the beach. There also seemed to be an ant problem on the kitchen counter. That would be the only negatives. Well satisfied. Hope to be back.

Dianne G., Bismarck, ND, 2.5.12

Wailea Ekahi 48C

The unit was nice, but the owners should step it up a bit. It felt like the place was outfitted at a garage sale. Nothing matched, and everything was purchased as cheaply as possible. The new kitchen is fine but the all the utensils are dated, and not even non-stick. Spend a few hundred dollars to bring the pot, pans, flatware, dishes, etc into the 2010's. The 2 baths were fine, but the towels were clearly hand-me-downs from their primary residence and none of them matched. $100 at spent Macy's Home sale this weekend would help. Same thing with the bedding, When were those pillow cases made? 1970? We've stayed at Ekahi and Ekolu many times, and this unit showed the least pride of ownership we've seen. 48C is not on our list of places to return to.

Daniel O., San francisco, CA, 2.5.12

Puunoa Beach Estates 203

We were absolutely surprised of what the unit looked like. The pictures don't come even close to the real thing. The best part of this rent was the view. The estates are close to the town center with all the nice shops and restaurants. The bet parts were the whales and the helicopter flight over the island. We do have to come back and do it all again and more ....

Endless Horizon

The home was beyond gorgeous with a perfect location, 5 min to downtown Lahaina (if you wanted you could bike or walk to Front street), another 5 min to kanapali and super easy access to the airport, Haleakala, the aquarium, hikes, etc. A park for our children was a just a quick 3 min drive. The home was very well stocked with swim toys, noodles, a boogie board, and everything you could possibly want for cooking. You wake up every morning with the most gorgeous views of the ocean, the island of Lanai, and whales abounded! We had some issues with the property management company, but the owner of the unit was quick to address and ameliorate all of them making the stay fabulous. The owner's handyman, Joe, is also this phenomenal, professionally trained chef. He prepared a meal for us and our Maui friends one evening and it was truly one of the best meals we have ever experienced. Such a special night and I cannot recommend him enough! Make sure to ask the rental company for his info! The best part of the trip was being together as a family in one place enjoying all of the beauty and excitement of Maui. The best restaurant we found was Hanu in Lahaina, such unique, healthy, delicious food. The best salads and tuna-bruchetta we have ever tasted! Hula Grill is great for a fun evening on the beach and Beach Bums next to the aquarium is wonderful for BBQ lunch! Warren and Annabelle's magic show is hilarious and not to be missed! Golfing at the Dunes and at the Four Season on Lanai is a golfer's delight! The Pacific Whale foundation does a great whale watch and all of the money is donated to whale research. The I'o needle hike is gorgeous and perfect for younger kids (ours were 2, 5, and 7 at the time). Don't miss driving to Haleakala and the views from 10,000 feet! Be sure to rent kayaks at 505 Front Street and try a surf or paddle board lesson from Goofy Feet, also at 505 Front Street. My advice to someone else staying in the home would be just enjoy and pinch yourselves that you are able to stay in such a breathtaking place because your vacation will be over in a minute and views like that are hard to come by! Of course after two weeks you really get into the swing of things, but there are new Maui "finds" you are discovering daily; and we cannot wait until next year to experience Maui again. This home was perfect, great views, pool, bedrooms, gorgeous bathrooms, amazing kitchen, loved the location and the little horse farm down the road was so nice for our children. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to our friends in Chicago. Can't wait till next year! Marisa M, Chicago, IL

Kaanapali Royal H302

We loved the floor plan, it was perfect for two couples. Lots of room. The gal at the desk at the condo office was not very friendly . She just wanted the parking fee and that was it. It would have been nice for the condo to have a listing of resturants, things to do in the area, etc. Some recommendations. We liked Betty's, Buba Gumps, Maui Brewing Company had fantastic onion rings, Dollies Pub was also very good. Did not like Moose McGuil (something). Loved the whale watching and the dinner cruise with the save the whales group. Highly recommend both as a have to do. We recommend that the owners of the unit we stayed in need to do some work - painting ceilings/walls, replacing all window treatments, the bed in the downstairs bedroom was extremely uncomfortable and adding a TV to the downstairs bedroom would be nice. Location was great, close to so much. It really needs to be updated. I would recommend that you as well as the property manager not be part of that unit until it has some work done to it. Others that we talked to at the pool said the units they were staying in were great and would return. Thanks for your help with the car. We will definitely recommend your organization to those we know traveling to your great state.

Beach Estate on Maui

What I liked best about the unit I rented was its proximity to the beach and local amenities, as well as the authentic "Hawaiian" feel of the house. The customer service I received was very good. The best part of my trip was the memories we made together as a family. The best restaurant I found was Stella Blues. I can't wait to tell all my friends that we had a great trip as a family. My advice to someone else staying at this unit would be to make sure you use the services and amenities available to you. The part of my trip I would definitely recommend to others is to stay at a property managed by the Management company that took care of our house-- they were very good. I didn't have time this trip, but next trip I'm looking forward to more scenic drive-- Haleakala, Hana, etc.

My family returned in January 2012 to stay at this rental again. Our first stay in August 2010 was so amazing at this property that we insisted to stay again. Every detail has been considered and taken care of. We needed a high chair, baby gate, and toddler play toys. Of course they were stored in the garage for visitors just like us, Wow we were really impressed with that. This unit even has child safety lock on the main cabinets. NEW KITCHEN. Completely remodeled, wine cooler. Granite, ect. This property and this unit continue to lead the race for "most memorable" vacatio the rental is in great shape, well decorated in a classy Hawaiian style. It's also got the little things you don't think about. This is the greatest place to stay in Maui. Perfect location, super quiete, nice neighbors, amazing beach (Napili Bay), and the best and cheapest happy hour pou-pou's across the street at Sea House. Thanks for making us feel like family.

Honua Kai-Konea 3 Bedroom

This is a gorgeous, gorgeous condo! The best unit of the best condo complex on this beach by far. We saw a ton of humpbacks while eating breakfast on our patio. Amazing. I would recommend this condo in particular for 2 couples with kids as there are 3 bedrooms - 2 with king sized beds and 1 with two queens. Next time we are back, we would absolutely stay in this same unit. Dukes is a good restaurant, Aina marketplace a bit overpriced. Surf school in Lahaina - Maui Wave Riders - was excellent! Times grocery store just across the street is great. Java Jazz in the same strip mall makes amazing coffees and smoothies. There is a little gift shop across from the Java Jazz that i can't remember the name of that is super for cute, inexpensive dresses. The only bad thing about our holiday was that we had to come home!

John G., Washington, , 1.17.12

Maui Sunset 412B

The suite was nicely located, good views, very well equipped kitchen. No parking issues. The suite was somewhat dated and could use a deep cleaning. Carpet was somewhat dirty and stucco ceiling was dripping was dust bunnies. The suite seemed dark despite all the mirrors which I though were an excellent idea for light as well as giving the appearance of larger size. We ended up taking off the black lamp shade which improved the lighting. I agree with previous residents about perhaps having a darkening shade in the bedroom as it does get very light in there very early in the morning. Shower floor was quite grimey looking as was the tub floor. The gals at the desk and the pool gave fairly curt and limited information. Just did not feel that welcomed. There are ALOT of stores on Maui. There is ALOT of alcohol to be had on Maui. Prices on Maui are high as expected except for the booze. Didn't go to many restaurants. Hit most all of the beaches and found the snorkelling spots. Signage was ambiguous or nonexistent as regards many of the beaches and the hiking walks. Too many "danger signs posted" by a CYA governmental administration make one ignore most all of the signs. Maui was nice but I don't think I will go back again.

The location of the unit right on the beach and ground floor near the pool was ideal for our needs. We spent a great deal of time at the unit reading, etc and watching and listening to the surf. We spotted whales on some days not far out! The unit was in good shape and clean and Trinity Maid Service provided a good cleaning 1/2 way through our stay. Several good restaurants nearby, Roys, Gazebo and Dukes.

Choosing accommodation on Maui is tough when you are choosing on line. There seemed to be very few three bedroom places and we were unsure which beaches we wanted to be near.Napili beach was recommended to us by friends and Napili Gardens looked like its location was great with good facilities for a family to have an affordable holiday on Maui. As it turned out the location is fantastic. It is an easy two minutes walk from Napili beach and an 8 minute walk from Kapalua beach. We preferred Kapalua beach because the snorkelling was fantastic there but Napili was an incredible place to watch the sunset and let the waves breaking close to shore push you around. The apartment was appointed to a high standard (huge TV, stone bench top, wi fi inside and a nice range of books) well kept and well stocked. The rear deck and BBQ were great and the garage was full of towels and beach gear which came in handy. We would definitely recommend the place. There were no surprises and Jeff couldn't have been more helpful.

Kahana Reef 121

The location of this condo is excellent. The ocean is only feet from the back sliding door and just a few steps away is a private beach that very few people use. The units are very quiet and well maintained. The grounds are clean and the area feels very safe for the entire family. There is a great road to run along in the morning that follows the water and shops and restuarants are close by. If you like watching the whales go by and the turtles swim this is the place for you! We had a mix up with the safe and the rental company handled it immediately. Honestly, my only complaint would be that the unit needs a new blender. If you stay in this condo you will not be dissappointed!

This was a great location away from the highly populated tourist areas, with a good beach only 10 minutes away. All locations of interest are only 30 to 40 minutes away. We loved the area. The house was very well equipped with everything we needed. We rented all 4 suites with 4 separate families, it was perfect for us! Paia is a great little town. We loved it and we will be back again. Bella Mare Estate

The Bella Mare was fabulous--incredible sunsets, a lovely house and garden, well equipped kitchen. We went with our closest freinds to celebrate a 50th birthday and it was the perfect setting. The concierge service (Thank you, Karen!) pre-arranged a wonderful snorkeling trip to Lanai, as well as a zip line adventure in Makawao--both were wonderful and just the right amount of scheduled activities for us since we did not want to over-plan. The house has 3 queen beds/bedrooms and the beds were very comfortable. This arrangement does make things a little more complicated for non-couples and for full-sized adults or teenagers! The kitchen is very well equipped, as we ate most meals at home and enjoyed cooking together. One suggestion would be to have twice as many mugs since we are big coffee and tea fans but never seemed to have enough mugs. The BEST restaurant was Star Noodle in Lahaina, which a friend from home recommended. The food was unbelievably tasty and original, an Asian fusion cuisine. We ate family style in order to taste as many dishes as possible. We had lunch there one day and were so impressed we made reservations for dinner the next night. It rivals the best restaurants we've eaten in in San Francisco, where we live. All-in-all, one of the best vacations ever!
