to find the perfect Maui vacation.
Monkey Business Maui- Kihei Bay Surf 135 - The area was wonderful and the condo was really nice. I would recommend to a friend.
Mahalo!
Palms at Wailea 1501 - We found the accomodations to be very comfortable. Unfortuantely, my husband was having health problems and we were not able to get out and enjoy the island very much, but we will return one day. My only disappointment was that the bbq grill was unuseable as the grill itself was rusted through. Other than that, the location and view were perfect. Thanks!
Koa Lagoon 607 - The Lanai view was fantastic. Great unit. The only problem was it was monsoon season and the living room air conditioning unit couldn't keep up with the humidity. The units in the bedrooms made up for it. Would of liked an ice maker though. The rest was great. The beach is more for the view. It is a bit rocky and very shallow for a long distance. Went snorkeling at other beaches. There are many thin, gs to do in Mauisearch web sites for ideas.
Koa Lagoon 201 - I really loved the Condo and would highly recomend it to anyone. I woke up to the sun rise through the bedroom window and wathed the sunset on the balcony at night. I thought that the time I spent at the condo was the time I enjoyed best. thanks again the Schulz family.
My Waii Beach Cottage - We arrived at the cottage late at night, looked around and found that everything was bright and clean and very welcoming, but waking up the next morning was amazing! We had a beautiful yard to ourselves and a little path down to gorgeous beach. Watching the surfers over our morning coffee was pretty great but nothing beat the sunset barbeques, absolutely breathtaking! We would definitely stay at the My Waii Beach Cottage again, it was the perfect honeymoon!
Village By the Sea BF Condo OV - Good view. Unit was clean, well maintained. Quiet complex. We met nice people at the pool. Really great to have a separate living room and bedroom as my husband had several early morning and late night conference calls - and I could just go in the bedroom and go to sleep or watch TV.
George, the concierge was eager to help with tours. Kerry (sp?) at the front desk was accommodating as we arrived late and also requested a late check-out.
My only suggestion - consider giving some customer service advice to the maid service. We called Hawaiian Beach Rentals and asked for an 11:30 am check out. There was no one checking in the day we checked out - so they were ok with the late check-out. The front desk was also ok. So, HBR asked me to call the maid service - number was in the unit. We didn't get back until after 10:30 pm the night before we checked out - so I waited and called the maid service at 8 am the next day. The woman I spoke with threw a hissy fit. She said I needed approval from the front office - so I explained that we had spoken with them and had the approval. She said "how could you have approval - they don't open until 9 am." So, I explained that the approval had been obtained the prior day. She then asked if I had approval from the owner - Muhammad Yunis. I explained that the instructions I had said I had to obtain approval from HBR and I didn't think I was suppose to contact the unit owner. She then complained that I hadn't called the prior day. I explained that we didn't have her number until we got back to the unit at 10:30 pm and I thought that was to late to call. Anyway, she said "I have to call and follow up on this" and hung up. Not really demonstrating that aloha spirit.
Used the beach chairs and beach towels at the beach - very nice to have those available in the unit for use by the guests.
We tried using the BBQs one night. There were no matches or grill lighters in the unit. Borrowed a grill lighter from a neighbor - but couldn't get the gas grills to work.
Played Makenna South - beautiful golf course with ocean views on every hole. Play after 1:00 pm and get the afternoon discounted rate. There was no one behind us and we got off before 1:00 pm. Also loved the ocean raft snorkel trip to Lanai. Only 12 people on the trip. On the way back to the harbor we saw a group of over 100 spotted dolphins (bigger than the spinners). Sitting on the side of the raft with our feet in the water - dolphins swimming all around us. Lots of mothers and babies.
Puamana 21-2 - Our stay at Pumana was excellent. It was a great location in a beautiful facility. The staff was very helpful and polite. I will definitely contact you again for my next trip to Hawaii. Thank you.
Puamana 153-3 - Hello! I know I speak for our entire family in saying that we have NEVER had a better vacation! Puamana 153-3 was AMAZING! It fit our family of 6 PERFECT! It was definately a sense of truly being in a home, while in Paradise. We were in Maui once before in 2003, at a hotel in Kaanapali. That was nice, but this couldn't of been better! We didn't book anything ahead, only while we were there. We parasailed, ate at Bubba Gumps, went to big beach, snorkeled and saw lots of dolphins and turtles, but most of all, enjoyed the scenery at our leasure, along with great Hawaiian hospitality that we so looked forward to :) We even bought a timeshare!! We live in Seattle and absolutely enjoy the sun when we can get to it. I think the next trip we would like to do the morning bike ride down the volcano and take the trip to Hana. Whatever we do next time, we will have a great time! I would (and have already!) recommend Puamana 153-3 or any other condo located there, to my friends! Thanks for helping our insanely busy family have a tremendous 15 days!! Wayne, Terri, Jessica, Tyler, Dominique, Alexandra Mendezona and grandson Jaedyn!
Kuau Plaza Condo - The initial viewing of the apt. complex was dissapointing as i do not remember seeing pictures like this, however after entering the apt, I was happier. Air conditioning would have been helpful. The electricity went out a couple of times, requiring us to move the refridgerator to flip the circuit switch. Ants were in the ap. and we were asked if we would be leaving on one day so that they could spray for insects. The neighbors were great. it was a very nice beach and close to Mama's Fish House which is a very nice restaurant. Not much time was spent at the rental and Hawaii is absolutely beautiful.
Lahaina Travis Home - This home is very clean, and has lots of room. It is walking distance to all the shops and restaurants in Lahaina. The only two, or three things that would make this unit a 4 star instead of a 5 star is the small T.V.s and the dated decor as one, and the other is that if you want to sit outside and have dinner and laugh, you must be very quite or the neighbor will call and let you know that you must be indoors by 9:00P.M. sharp, or not make any noise.... (even on a Saturday night). As a large family, we loved the location, but if you do want to be on a nice beach, you do need to get into your car and drive. Overall, the trip was great, and it is alot of fun to just hang around the pool and BBQ!
