Ka Liki O K Lani is definitely a "beach" house, not all shiny new, but we enjoyed every minute here. It is located close enough to anything else you might want to see in the area, but at the end of the day you come back to a quiet area suggestive of what the islands might have been before they had been so developed. My advice is to wear flipflops or beach shoes into the water at the beach...the coral is quite sharp!
This home is a lovely place for those who wish to "getaway" from the tourist part of the island. You get a real feel of living in Oahu among the people. The home is well equipped and clean. Song birds will be your alarm clock. Celebrated my son's 40th birthday with his wife and my two granboys having breakfast on the porch among the wonderful landscaping. The best part of the week was the trip to Hanauma Nature Perserve for the snorkeling. INCREDIBLE! Don't mish the swap meet at the stadium, best place to pick up the souvenirs. Would rent the house again in a heart beat!
My advice to someone else staying at this unit would be to wear a lot of mosquito repellant. We could not get rid of the mosquitos and tried several repellants. My son and husband were bit several times. The house was great and had everything, but as we drove into Ewa Beach we realized it was a very ran down part of Hawaii. We saw stripped cars and people sleeping outside. Ewa Beach was not the nicest Beach in Hawaii. I really got worried driving in, but when we actually got to the house I was relieved and the neighbors were friendly.
I enjoyed the service of the home and the location. I actually started to find my way around and I would recommend this location to anyone or to my friends. The weather was okay this time of the year. The fruit bacsket in the home when we arrived was a nice touch! Thank you. Having access to the internet, albeit not used to much because of the sight seeing etc, it was a pleasureable place to relax. I would definitely come back to this location in the future.
