Aqua Henalu -4 bedroom

Great location, beautiful view and good service. Best places to eat nearby are Haleiwa Joes and Jameson's By The Sea.

The inside of this house was great. Loved how the bedrooms were all on the lower level and the family/dining/kitchen were on the top floor. The view was nice to watch at sunrise & sunset. The wrap around lanais on each floor were cool too. The only cons to the house were no AC so it got extremely hot and there were ginormous spiders & centipedes. There's also geckos around the house but they are harmless. Go to Matsumoto's, only 7 mins away, for THE BEST SHAVED ICE (get it with the vanilla scoop of ice cream & condensed milk). Shrimp shacks are about 15 minutes past the house so def try it. GREAT TIME! GREAT LAUGHS! Enjoyed our stay. Thank you Alligator Rock.

Quaint Haleiwa House

It was a spacious unit, everything was in order when I arrived. Enjoyed eating at the Vegetarian restaurant on main street Haleiwa also the coffee shop near market place had great coffee. My advice to someone staying at this unit bring your computer internet service is fantastic. The roosters in Haleiwa add character but make a noise so bring ear plugs. Within walking distance to both a calm beach and a beach with waves. North shore is a great place to visit.

Quaint Haleiwa House

Great location for walking into town or across the street to watch the surf competition, but on a fairly busy and noisy road. We enjoyed eating the fresh local catch at Haleiwa Joe's a couple of nights. Lots of noisy roosters day and night - and early morning!! Enjoyed the Waialua Coffee tour (if you ask they'll take you outside and explain the coffee and chocolate bean growing and processing). Banzai Pipeline surfers were awesome! It's worth driving up to the Pu'uomahuka Heiau just north of Waimea Valley.

We loved the location of this rental house and the best part was swimming in the pool every morning before we went out sight seeing. We couldnt believe how much there is to see and do on Oahu. The north shore and the windward side of the island are lovely. The best Mai Tai we had was at the Royal Hawaiian. We sat at the Mai Tai bar there and watched people on the beach and in the surf while we sipped our drinks and shared a BLT and sweet potato fries. The waitress went to the kitchen and got us the recipe for their green papaya salad that accompanied our lunch and we were able to find the ingredients and recreate it when we got back to our rental. Very tasty! . The best beach for those who arent super surfers is Kokololio on the windward side. It's got shade and wasnt crowded at all. We highly recommend the Breath of Life show at the Polynesian Cultural Center. It is stunning. The rental agency was prompt in all correspondence so we would definitely use them again.

Quaint Haleiwa House

Great location, but not as close to the "beach" as some literature seemed to indicate...Very clean and well cared for by neighbors Earl, Marie and Lisa...located on curve on main two lane, sometimes made it hard to back out of driveway due traffic and line of sight. Lots of chickens around, and roosters crow way before dawn - not great for light sleepers. Kitchen faucet still hard to control volume despite previous critical writeups...back patio has several holes and tears in screening, allowing for bugs when fruit trays or food is on patio. Saw a marlin at Haleiwa marina/harbor across street that was caught after a 3 hour battle. Walk to town, local shopping all within walking distance,,,lots of places to eat,,,best were the "shrimp buses" - 3 great ones in town, best was 2 blocks away next to gas station...great food. During heat of day (85 to 90 degrees) was diffficult to keep house cool with the 3 window units, but nights were comfortable, no air needed,,,cable tv and wi fi...not all the channels on the tv giude channel were actually availabe,,a listing of operating channels would have been appreciated....Easy drive to most of the north shore beaches and sights like Waimea....My daughter and grandkids really had a great time and we would consider a return trip.

Quaint Haleiwa House

1. It was clean and the location was excellent 2. okay 3. my family reunion 4. Hapa Grill in Kapolei 5. at our family reunion 6. the house was across the street from a great beach, and we even got to swim with the honu's Overall it was a great experience, although our original rental "Under the Mango Tree" would have been more condusive for our friends in the wheel chairs. An d of course you have to have great patience with the traffick. That was the most horrible thing about our vacation, dealing with all the traffick. Thank you-

This was our second year in a row staying at Alligator and I hope to come back next year. The house is set up perfect for our family and is feeling like a second home to us. The location is ideal and the sunsets are awesome, until next time, cheers!

Quaint Haleiwa House

I loved staying at this house. The view out the front is of the harbor and the historical haleiwa bridge is very nice to wake up to. While we were there we saw 4 marlins brought in along with lots of other large fish. The neighbors are nice. less than a minute walk to the beach, A few minute walk to kayake and stand up paddle board rentals. walking distance to all of Haleiwa shopping. about a 30 minute drive to the water slide park, and it was a great way to spend a day. We ran out of time and didnt go on the shark cage tour, but it went out multiple times daily from the harbor. I will be back and hope to say in this house again. The booking arraignment we easy, and the driving directions from the airport were easy to follow.

The customer service was amazing! I was able to book this wonderful home at the very last minute. They had the house ready for me within 2 hours of a last minute booking. I am so appreciative of the help I recieved. It made this challenging vacation really easy for us! What I liked best about this unit was the large and modern kitchen with decks that looked out onto the ocean. The large bedrooms and bathrooms were also a great plus.

I felt the customer service was very poor. To not stand by your guest and to be kicked out of the rental early was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. I was going to consider making a recommendation to my company to come here and to use hawaiian beach rentals for our stay on Oahu. I would not even consider that now. I will discourage anyone from using your agnecy in the future. I am contemplating some action to be taken to remedy this situation. I had called Friday afternoon and still have not had any further call - very poor service.

Quaint Haleiwa House

Great location on the North Shore at Haleiwa. The house is right on the harbor with a view of boats coming and going all day long. The nearness of the harbor, beach park, and Old Town Haleiwa were the highlights and what we loved best. However, if you want to make multiple trips to Honolulu or Windward, this location is not convenient at all due to the distances. My advice to anyone staying in this unit is to do all your food shopping on the way their at a Foodland or Safeway PRIOR to heading to the North Shore. Prices at the small grocery in Haleiwa are considerably steeper. Winter is probably not a good time to take small children to the North Shore as the waves and winds are considerably higher than at other times. This is Hawaiian country living at its most authentic, as there are resident lizards, neighborhood chickens (roosters too), and the washer/dryer are outside. Perfect. The only downside facility-wise were: 1) Several power outlets had no power going to them. Most problematic was the power outlet in the main bathroom. 2) Kitchen water faucet has only two settings, off and full blast in an odd stream. It needs to be replaced.

The House was wonderful, and location was great. We were traveling with young children, and the trip was very enjoyable. The customer service I received was very organized and responsive to my questions. I would recommend this vacation rental to my friends and family.
