Sunset Yoga at Magic Island

Description

Yoga is a universal language that unites people of all cultures, countries, and athletic backgrounds, and there is no better place to practice it than the beach against the breathtakingly beautiful backdrop of a Hawaiian sunset.

AT A GLANCE:
Sunset to Candlelight Yoga takes place twice weekly at Ala Moana Beach Park in Waikiki. Instructor Liel Cheri guides yogis through a power flow designed to push limits and beliefs, energize, relieve stress, build strength, inspire, and relax. Her positive, encouraging teaching style ensures that guests of any level feel comfortable, and the candlelit outdoor setting is tranquil and non-intimidating.

Classes take place Tuesdays and Thursdays, beginning approximately 30 minutes before sunset. Toting yoga mats, water, and towels, students gather in the ample grassy space to the right side of the park, just a short distance beyond the parking lot. All levels and ages are welcomed, and Liel designs her classes so that students at any stage in their yoga practice are challenged and provided with an opportunity to grow.

As the sun sets, battery-operated candles are switched on providing a warm, intimate glow to inspire students through the duration of the class. Each class lasts approximately 75-90 minutes, and Liel offers hands-on assistance throughout, if desired.

Hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting approximately 30 minutes before sunset. Visit the website for current times.
