On the positive side, the property manager was very nice, as was the cleaning crew. Hawaiian folks are extremely hospitable. That said, the rental was a flag lot duplex unit in a sketchy neighborhood. The unit was very cluttered, yard was cluttered. The closet space was taken up with huge unused speakers. No dresser in Master bedroom. The one shelf space was filled with old bathmats and pillow covers. There were no instructions for the unit or even a simple map. The cost of the unit was high for the very low value. We've paid less for a 3 bedroom condo in Turtle Bay. I will not wait until Sept. to rent again.....

Starting from $250.00 per night. 40% down to hold a reservation. Balance due 45 days before check-in. $200.00 security deposit. $150.00 cleaning fee. 4% processing fee. Listed rates do not include tax. Holiday and peak season rates and required length of stay may be different than quoted above. Credit cards, cash, checks and wire transfers accepted. Minimum night stay varies amongst the various rental units. Many rentals have 30-night minimums.

Ava's Place was great. It was clean and nicely decorated, had just the right amount of space for myself and my 2 adult sons. It is located in a quiet residential area close to one of the best, non-crowded beaches in Hawaii. Convenient and close to everything in Kailua as well as nicely situated for taking either the Pali or H3 into Honolulu. We lived in Kailua several years ago and Ava's Place was a perfect place to stay while revisiting old friends and favorite spots on Windward Oahu ! Service was efficient and hassle free. I would definitely recommend Ava's Place !
