Reviews

  • We loved the house - it was very clean, roomy, and even with 7 of us we had a bedroom left over. Waking up to the sunrise and the sound of the ocean was great. Our hostess, Angie, checked on us every day and had a lovely welcome basket and cold cuts for sandwiches waiting when we arrived. I am so happy I decided on Hale Kai One on Kailua Beach instead of fighting the crowds on Waikiki. I am still amazed at the friendliness of the locals we met on the beach and in Kailua Town...everyone asked where we were from and if we were having a good time. We did the tourist spots in Honolulu and the North Shore, then drove back to our house and relaxed with friends and family in the evening. The dinner and show at the Polynesian Cultural Center was spectacular! The best food on the island was the garlic shrimp on the highway up to the north shore. I wouldn't hesitate to book this beach house for our next trip. dusty in Louisiana

  • Hale Kai One was the perfect spot for our family vacation. We arrived from three California locations for a wonderful week with our children and their children. The house offered us ample space and great beach access. The kids enjoyed the beach, pool, watching the kite and wind surfers, and all of the dogs along the beautiful sand. We have such fantastic photos of what we hope this trip will be a treasured memory for our granddaughters. We visited Pearl Harbor, the Dole Pineapple Plantation, and drove around the island. The kids loved the Poli (sp?). truly "the wind beneath their wings". We lenjoyed the barbeque and used it almost every evening. The view of the beach is wonderful. We sincerely appreciated the great fruit basket and other "goodies" provided on our arrival. Racquel was a cheeful, informative and helpful greeter. She even baked us delicious cookies! Tricia and Sam were great. We thank all of you for making this such a special vacation for our family. We would love to return again sometime.
