The house overall was very nice. The upkeep and cleaning was ok. There were a few roaches in the house and droppings in the bathroom windows. The porch light was out and it made it difficult to find the door when we arrived at 11pm. The vegitation around the house was a bit over grown. The gardeners did come the last day we were there to clean it up. Also, the fridge didn't keep the food very warm. We loved the main living space and dining room table. We also loved how close it was to the beach. Overall, nice house but could use a little more attention.

We do apologize for the inconveniences during your stay. We now have the home on monthly pest control, have installed landscape lighting and leave the porch light on which makes it much easier for night time arrivals, have cut back a lot of foliage and keep it maintained now, and have replaced some of the a/c units. We hope you'll consider staying here again as we feel we're now working much harder at putting our best foot forward so everyone can have a nice vacation in our home!

The design of the house and the detached unit was perfect for our family. It allowed enough space and room for all ages and members to enjoy one another yet never felt crowded. I did take down the plastic bamboo shade that was hanging alongside the washer dryer unit since every time we walked along the path, it would hit your head. Suggestion- the bushes at the back door and the branches from the trees need to be trimmed prior to occupancy- we would need to move them in order to get from one place to another. The proximity to the beach was perfect and the beach was beautiful and just right for little children. Thank you

The house was in an excellent location and was very private surrounded by beautiful plants. The information on the website and contract were out of date as there are only three regular beds, but the response to open the adjoining apartment was prompt and helpful. The bedrooms were attractive and comfortable but the lack of air conditioning or good air flow through the other rooms left them warm and humid. The back yard was our favorite place with a grill, dining table and comfortable hot tub. Unfortunately, though requested no maintainance was done on the hot tub during our nine night stay so the water turned bad and we took to scooping out the water and replacing it from a hose.

The rental unit was excellent and well located to everything we did in our week on the island. This served as a great base for returning our mothers remains to the place of her birth and the place of so many happy childhood memoirs. She is now back on the north shore where she wanted to be. Aloha! We had a great time at the Hale Maluhia Ohana! It was very private from the outside and roomy and open on the inside. The only reason the home didn't get a 5 flower rating is because the oven was horrible and we really couldn't use it without burning food and there needs to be a screen door on the front door so you can feel some of those breezes. Other than that the home was comfortable and conviently located. If we ever get a chance to go to Oahu again I would stay there.

The house was in a great location and close to the best beach on the island (we can say that because we visited most of the other beaches!). Terry was also lovely and helped us out with finding our way around the island. The house had lots of plant-life which was great for making it feel like we were alone. I would definately recommend this house to other families.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Hale Maluhia Ohana. The home was clean, beautifully decorated and in an excellent location. We couldn't have stayed in a better facility. We had our children with us and we were all very comfortable.

One thing to improve on is the location of the key lockbox is listed in the material as being next to door. We arrived at night and there is no lockbox next to door. It took a while to locate it but it is on the corner of the house next to drive-way. The other improvement would be to have the address visable from the street. you can not see it from the street due to the vegetation. this was also hard to locate at night. Maybe a small sign next to street with the house numbers on it. Other than that we enjoyed the location and the relaxing atmosphere at the house.
