The rental was not as nice as it appeared in the photos. The living room, dining room, and kitchen were way too hot to be comfortable. The bugs and lizards inside the home were ridiculous. When we initially looked at this property the woman we booked with stated that this house was located 70 feet from the ocean, not true. I have a disabled Father who needed a place closer to the ocean than this was. We actually left the house cleaner than we found it. Aside from the disappointment in this retnal we had an incredible time. We recommend the Pearl harbor tours, Kailua beach, and most definitely the Polynesian Cultural Center, it's so beautiful!!!! Also just take a ride around the island....what an amazingly beautiful island! We will NOT be returning to this house!

The customer service I received was excellent. The agent was always available to answer questions and provide information. My advice to someone else staying at this unit would be to be aware that the living room / dining areas are NOT air conditioned. What I liked best about the unit I rented was it's location in Kailua - easy to get to ant spot on Oahu withing 30-60 minutes and far away from the touristy areas.

This unit was centrally located close to shopping, restaurants, and churches. Cute house that supplied all the things one might need for a day on the beach. Bathrooms and kitchen could definitely use upgrading and colored paint. Just a little redecorating could add a lot. The outside of the house is beautifully landscaped (nicest on the block). The air conditioners in the bedrooms were great because with the houses so close together on Oahu, breezes are blocked. A good night's sleep is a must! The beaches were close and great. Close to the water and the walks on the beach were just beautiful. We had a super time. Just to note we did have a $500.00 security deposit, please send. Mahalo! Dorene and William Randall

Great house, we all really enjoyed our stay. We really liked walking to the beach, and along the beach. The proximity to the town and other island attractions was great. I would recommend this house to anyone!

The house is clean, organized, and well maintained. It also was fully stocked with beach toys and gear for kids and families. Our family of 6 enjoyed our stay very much and had plenty of room in this cute house.

Our family had a wonderful stay at the Happy Kailua Beach House. There was plenty of room for our four children both inside and outside the house. The location was perfect. Just a couple of minutes walk to the beach. The beach was definitely the highlight of the vacation. Our two older children (7 and 5) enjoyed boogie boarding, while the younger two splashed in the waves and played in the sand. The depth of the water and size of waves was perfect for young children. I also loved running along the beach each morning, watching the sunrise. The beach was quiet and clean. I would definitely recommend this unit to anyone traveling to Hawaii.
Everything was great but I am not happy that the security deposit will take up to 60 days to refund. This is a bad policy when people leave the place in as good as shape as they found it. I will not rent from Hawaiian Beach Rentals again if this your normal policy. In fact I may contact the Hawaii Better Business Bureau about this. You are using money for 60 days that is not yours. The Happy Kailua Beach House was perfect for our vacation. It was clean, fully equiped for all our needs, and toys for the beach. It was very comfortable and conviently located to the best restaurants, grocery, gift stores, and to all of Ohau. I even had the opportunity to meet famous Amos the "Cookie Man" who personally signed my cookie bags I was bringing home for gifts. My advice to someone else staying at this unit, don't bother to pack alot of clothing. Bring your bathing suit, a cover up, enjoy the beach, and the true aloha spirit. I'll be returning!!!

The location was convenient to everything on the island and such a quiet neighborhood. Was a very relaxing atmosphere. Debra was great...we only spoke on the phone but she was so accomodating. Our group of 6 ate at Pinky's twice and would rate that our favorite restaurant. We found the shopping at So. Kailua and the adjoining shops to be our favorite on the island! Lanikai beach is a must, we would spend more time there our next trip. All of the shopkeepers in Kailua were friendly and happy to share their insights as to their favorites on the island and in Kailua. Just a great all-around experience. Thank you so much for sharing Happy Kailua House!
The home was large enough that four adults and two teenage children weren't crawling all over each other. It had great "fung shui" - great atmosphere. Nice and light and airy. Good size bedrooms - large master bedroom. Easy access to beach. We will have many happy memories from the Happy Kailua beach house on Happy (Hau 'oli) Street!

I've already told many of my friends that if they ever go to Oahu, I've got the rental for them! Just loved it!!

I liked that the house had a grill and fun beach equipment like floats and boogie boards that we could use! This house is literally 5 houses from the beach! Grace who suggested Kailua Beach was very friendly and Debbie, the manager of the house was very accomodating and allowed us to check out at a time that worked with our flight schedule! The best part of my trip was biking down the volcano in Maui. The best restarant was Roy's in Oahu and Mama's Fish House in Maui. Some of the best pictures were of the sunrise in Maui and the sunset on Waikiki. My advice for someone staying in this unit is to take advantage of Kailua Beach. We saw lots of beaches in Hawaii and it was by FAR the most beautiful and not as crowded as everywhere else. Also, something worth mentioning is that the people who hang out on Kailua Beach seemed to be more attractive too! If I could go back to Hawaii, I would skip Oahu and check out the Big Island. Oahu is packed with people and rush hour is annoying. You can take a plane hopper to Oahu for a day trip or spend one night there and fly back to another island. That's what I wish we would have done. Maui is stunningly beautiful ;)

The best restaurant I found was Hale Iwa Joe's. Its a little distance away in Kaneohe hidden in a residential area but it has a fabulous view overlooking mountains and gardens and the food is great.
We enjoyed the sunny atmosphere all the windows provided. We took advantage of the non-pay washer and dryer. This allowed us to wash the beach towels after use so they didn't become musty. We liked the hardwood floors and no carpet. Close enough to easily walk to the beach, which we did on numerous occasions. It was just right for our needs on this trip because of the aging relatives, but too pricey to use on a future trip by ourselves.

Perfect home close to the perfect Hawiian beach. Very clean and equipped with everything you need in the house and on the beach. Very nice sized rooms. Much nicer than the pictures on the internet show. We loved it and will highly recommend it to others.
