1) the proximity to the beach was extradinary especially with the beautiful lawn.

Obviously we had a great time
Several comments:
1) The laundry room has faulty lights. They only come on after leaving the switch on for an hour. And... that is a dark nook.
2) Also the bathroom off of the laundryroom has a very leaky toilet which constantly refills itself every 5 minutes
3) None of the remotes for the TV area work because the batteries are all dead
4) The umbrella on the terrace was broken and we had to tie it up with it's own dangling cords
5) The cover on the floor of the master shower drain is not screwed in and almost ended up in a serious fall.
Please know that we would love to rent this house again and most likely will. Our comments are for your benefit and the owners. Unless you stay in a house, you typicallly have no idea of it's shortcomings. IT IS A MARVEROUL SPOT. THANK YOU.
5) Sorry to mention the above... As someone who rents out her house to others I just think you need to know these things.
Kailua Kai was perfect for 4 couples! It had individual bath rooms for each couple; dining facilities could accommodate all eight for meals, which it did every evening except for 2 nights when we went to restaurants: sitting areas were great for reading or basking in the sun; the beach was not overcrowded, enabling us to walk everyday and swim in virtual privacy; proximity to town made it easy to pick up groceries when needed and the shopping was great! The beauty of the house exceeded our expectations and the pictures we took will provide us with memories we will cherish the rest of our lives!!!
My wife and I never tour for 10 consecutive days, we like to have a day in between to rest and enjoy the beach. Consequently, the is so much we did not see, we will have to go back....with friends, of course! We loved everything about it!
We highly recommend Kailua Kai if you like peace and quiet. If you like night life and lots of people around, go to Waikiki Beach!

This was our second stay at the Kailua Kai and once again we had a fabulous time. The friends we brought with us instantly fell in love with the house and the setting as we had. The water park is a must for kids and Moke's for breakfast can't be beat. Verena was wonderful as always and even though we have never formally met she treats us like family when we arrive. Renting a car during our stay gave us the flexibility to have a beach day or spend a day exploring the island. Very easy to get around. Great location if you have children. We will definitley be back.
We enjoyed our stay in our Kailua Guest House. All the services we were promised were provided as stated and the entire stay was well worth the cost and we will be doing this again in the near future. Highly recommend this vacation rental service and the guest accomodations were we stayed.
Kailua Kai was absolutley perfect. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. It is a wonderful setting and the house is well-equipped with every amenity. We would definitely return for another stay. We particularly enjoyed sitting on the porch in the evening by candle light. We had a wonderful vacation.

Kailua Kai, and everything there was perfect. We enjoyed it so much we're already planning our next trip. Except this time we will stay longer. 7 nights wasn't enough.
This house was perfect, and the view and beach was outstanding. We would definitely rent this again.
We had an excellent time at Kailua Kai. We hope to vistit again. It is a beautiful home-perfect for our family.
Where do i start. I would rent this home again and again. The house is great with nice big rooms each with their own bathroom. The loft upstairs is a perfect get-a-way from the rest of the house with an amazing view. However the back yard as big as it is with the beach right there was even better than the house. What can i say, a perfect house for a perfect vacation. I'd give it more than 5 stars if i could.....
The house and location were excellent. It was clean and well stocked. We would definitely recommend it and hope to use it again some time.

The rental is fantastic. Everything one would want at his own home is available with the added pleasure of Hawaii.
This is a fabulous house and the location couldn't be better with the beach right out front and the restaurants of Honolulu just a short ride over the hill. The kitchen is very well appointed and the house was spotless when we arrived. Street sounds don't penetrate and the two birds who live on the light fixture on the lanai are adorable. It's a five for sure.
A spectacular location and lovely house. The welcome fruitbasket was a very nice touch. Lots of new towels and beach towels -- great. The weather was excellent. Would be perfect if the shower heads are handheld (or lower -- I'm short) and availability of WIFI internet connection would cap off an excelellent vacation. We all had a lovely time. Will return. Thank you.
