My family and I had the distinct honor of staying in this luxurious home for several weeks. Unassuming on the outside, true Hawaiian luxury on the inside. With every amenity and day to day need right where we expected to find it, the home was more of a second home for us than a place to stay on vacation. Although we had grand plans of being on the road and traveling around the island to see the sites we found ourselves wanting to stay at the house and absorb the true local essence of what Hawaii offers. The beach just steps from the house is absolutely fabulous and after traveling to Hawaii for years I can say that the stretch of Kailua Beach in front of the house is definitely our favorite. The wide beach with brilliant white sand is only matched by the otherworldly blue ocean that gently laps the shore. Our 2 year old son enjoyed the beach but spent about 4 hours a day in the home's warm pool. I wasn't convinced we would use a pool while being in Hawaii so close to the beach but I was mistaken. The pool was such a treat that I don't think we would every rent a home again without one. Eighty plus degree water in the middle of the night while looking up at the Hawaiian night sky is true paradise. From the recently remodeled kitchen with every conceivable gadget to the outdoor bar and beer fridge on the Lanai, the owners have done this home up right. Many thanks to Hawaiian Beach Rentals and Two Wahines on the Beach for making our stay fabulous. We'll be back this year.
