The unit is very small, but the back yard and pool totally MAKE IT!!!
It works for a couple, or, as in our case, mother and daughter who are very comfortable together.
While kitchenette lacks basic kitchen ammenities, the owners have tried to be very creative in offering work-arounds so you can make most of your meals at home... between the normal fridge-freezer, the two burners, toaster oven, microwave, and BBQ.
In the back yard, you have your own mini paradise. The pool is beautiful and immaculate. The outside shower is a treat.
The walk to the beach is easy, 10 minutes, and perfect to watch the sunrise.
Thursday farmers' markets are not to be missed.
Overall, we had a FABULOUS time and would definitely go back!

we have been home from our visit to Hawaii for about one week & we have some very clear & sweet memories of our stay at two duck inn. a high point of our visit was the affability of our "landlord & landlady", Marty and Gay. they were extremely pleasant. we looked forward to our morning coffee at the pool. it was so quiet and beautiful there. we loved just listening to the birds & gazing at the pristine garden. the "floating chairs" in the pool were an added bonus . . . so relaxing. it was great to be able to walk to the quiet, white-sand beach that was only two blocks away. we gave this rental 4 stars mainly because of Marty & Gay, the pool area, the beach equipment available, & a comfortable bed. our only negative report of this unit was THE DECREPIT WINDOW AIR CONDITIONER. even in April this studio apartment was 90 degrees inside. we sincerely hope they replace it with a larger unit before our next visit.

We had a great time at the Two Duck Inn: nice and clean, cheerful, little personal touches like you would find in your own home. Great location. Best restaurant: Lucy's.

The rental was clean and adequate for our needs. Need to leave some directions for where to leave key, checkout directions etc. Need some teaspoons

We enjoyed our stay very much but found that the owners rules were a bit too strict. We could only use the pool from 9:30-4:30, don't have any guests over unless we check with them first and do not have any glass drinks by the pool. The owner, Marty was very good about letting us have people over particularly the first day - BEFORE WE READ THE RULES- he was very understanding when we apologized for not checking with him first as we didn't see the rules posted on the fridge.

Pool hours are now extended until 5:30 p.m. Please no large family gatherings in the backyard without our approval.
Wonderful position a few blocks away from the beach. The owners are really helpful and friendly too. We didn't realize about the pool hours only being from 09:00 till 16:30 until we got there, but I can understand the owners position on this. It's the only reason it didn't get 5 stars.

There are around twelve hours of sunlight and guests have nine hours of it in the backyard if they desire.
Wonderful location, great extra's like beach towels, cool bag, umbrella, beach chairs made the vacation so much better. Friendly owners. Late check out very much appreciated. A true gem.

Incredible stay! Sure beats a hotel!

The place was very clean and great overall. The only thing I would have liked different were the pool hours. Only open to us until 4:30pm which is about when all the other attractions close. No way to come back and relax by the pool after a long day sightseeing.

We had a great time staying at the Two Duck Inn. It was a small little place that had everything we needed. My only recommendation is to get a better air conditioner, we unfortunately left with colds... :(

The Two Duck Inn was wonderful. My daughter and I especially loved the wonderfully landscaped pool area and the short walk to the beach. I would definitely recommend the Inn to anyone.

1) The pictures at the website give the impression of a more spacious room. This was not the case. 2) The divider and the several plants right in front of the garden exit/entrance were very close to the sliding doors of the room. it gave us the impression being tucked away behind a fence 3)Due to many items in the room, too little space for personal items. 4) Despite the fact that the owners live next door, there was no real contact between us and them. 5) Enough towels and enough privacy.

The Two Duck Inn is a wonderful property, private, extremely clean and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed the grounds and the beautiful pool. Mahalo! Lester and Nancy Burke

One of the most pleasant, relaxing vacations we have ever had. Although the studio is on the small side, the yard, pool, and close proximity to the wonderful beach more than make up for it. To top it off the owners/hosts are great people who make you feel so welcome--they thought of everything to make our stay a memorable one. Mahalo, Two Duck Inn.
