This was a great place in a great town. It was a wonderfull property with everything, including the beach, in walking distance.
This is a wonderful little self contained suite in the back of a house of very kind and hospitable owners. The unit is brand new, nicely decorated and has a charming feel. It is only two short 1/2 blocks from the Kailua beach (not the over 3 blocks as listed) - a great location. It has a great pool as well. We will definately be back!
The only thing I would change about the rental is air conditioning in more than just the master bedroom of the main house. A beautiful home. We really enjoyed ourselves. Linda Holloway
Our stay at Blue Ginger was everything we expected.......delightful. Our hosts could not have been more friendly or accomodating. The unit was beautifully appointed, and the pool and grounds very special to enjoy. The walk to beach access took only four minutes.......to the Market and Beach park, about fifteen.....to Kailua town, about five......all very convenient. We would definitely come again and feel were visiting old friends. Maholo
We really enjoyed our stay at the Serenity Cottage. The cottage offered everything we needed for our family of 4. We would stay again.
The Kailua Beach House and Tradewinds Cottage were very nice. The main house was beautifully remodeled and the cottage very cozy and nice. The house is very nice and Verena was great. The only concern was that there appeared to be a person living in a car in front of the main house. This provided some insecurity for the guests.
Kalake on the Beach was wonderful. The layout and location were superb! We loved the open air feeling of the home and all the wonderful ammenities. We absolutely loved the home! Our only concerns were the construction work next door began very early in the morning and awoke our guests. Also, we had a problem with someone hitting out rental car and not leaving a note. The damage was extensive and will cost us much in repair.
The Blue Ginger met all of our requirements for an awesome vacation rental. Our family of 5 (three teenagers) were very comfortable and there were so many extras that we felt spoiled. It was like staying in a beautiful vacation home, not a rental! Everything was so clean, the decor was tasteful , and the location to the beach and town was perfect. It looked just like the photos on the website, in fact , better. Thank you for a great website and an even better vacation spot.
The house was beautiful and quiet, the linens and dishes clean. The yard to the beach was big and great for the kids. We were disappointed with the ants in the kitchen and the cockroaches everywhere (at least a dozen in our one week) - understanding that in a tropical place there are cockroaches was mixed with the feeling that no other place we have stayed (also beach front)have we experienced cockroaches... we deemed my husband "the cockroach killer" and his book showed the wear of many battles. I got stuck on ant patrol as they were fast and furious. They came and treated but they were back in 12 hours.
We loved our stay. The house was much nicer than we expected. It is gracious, well planned and very convenient. The setting is gorgeous. We found the neighborhood very quiet while close to everything.
Wonderful location, and very helpful support staff. I would, though, remove the alarm system completely, since it is not functioning properly, and given the rather open design of the house, the beep beep beep that the alarm made every time a door was open was very stressful for us, since we had two twin two year olds napping/sleeping, and were constantly afraid of waking them. Things did break, which happens in such a salt air environment, but Powell was very good about repairing/replacing things very promptly, and all in all the design of the home, and the location, makes for a very enjoyable low-key holiday stay. The Plumeria Studio was wonderful! It was very private and allowed us to see how it feels to live in Hawaii. The pool was great and the landscaping was beautiful. The beach is a very short walk from the unit and it is beautiful as well. Not crowded like alot of beaches. We would stay here again without a doubt!!
It wasn't comfortable for 2 people that are not a couple.
It was very cozy and clean. We enjoyed our stay. It was like having a home away from home.
Instructions for getting there were slightly incorrect, but we had a map and were able to find it with no problem. The house had almost everything we could want - we had a great time!

The house was wonderful and relaxing. We took our 3 adult children and daughter=in-law to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary and all had a great time. The home was well equipped for the times we ate in and many SCRABBLE games were played on the lanai. The beach was beautiful. We would highly recommend it.

This is a brand new unit, sparkling clean, with a beautiful pool five feet from the entrance! We had a wonderful time here.. Audry and Gale were so welcoming and friendly, we felt like we were staying with family.

We highly recommend this property. This location is just lovely. The neighborhood is quiet and people were friendly. We were close enough to the beach to enjoy it easily. It's across the street and half a block away. One night, as the tide came in, we could hear the surf. The garden around the house is restful and immaculate. The house is beautifully appointed and virtually brand new. This was everything we hoped for and more.
This was a wonderful house on the Kailua side of Oahu, allowing us to visit with family on the Winward side and an easy drive into family on the Pearlridge side of Honolulu. The beds were comfortable! Krista, the caretaker, is a doll and very friendly and helpful.

Our stay in the plumeria studio was exactly what we were looking for, close to the beach and a great place to just hang out outside to enjoy the warm tropical breezes with a glass of wine. We highly recommend this place.
A wonderful place to stay. I recommend placing portable ac units in all the bedrooms minimally as the house was a bit too warm throughout the main living areas. Maybe better ventilation at the top of the rafters in the main home or other? Despite that, everything else was good.

While the location is superb, this home is in need of some major updating and facelifting throughout. It came as no surprise that the owners are selling it, which may explain why they have not put any money into it for some time. And, although it was disclosed to us there was no air conditioning, we didn't realize how not having it would effect our comfort. It is a must! We enjoyed the beach tremendously and loved being only a few steps away from a beautiful and very private beach. We intend to revisit Kailua Bay!
We loved the space and the location was convinient. The owners were extremely nice and helpful. The pool was awesome! The only downfall was the kitchen. We would have liked a more functional kitchen since we were there for a longer amount of time. All in all it was very good.

The house, location, ambience, everything I can think of were INCREDIBLE! Everything my family needed for a fantastic vacation was there---toys, towels, kitchen stuff---the beach was beautiful, the kite-watching was fun, the surf was perfect. Can't say enough good about this experience and we're all looking forward to returning!
