Garden Lanai

We were very comfortable here and found this a good central location for our visit to the island. The rental left us needing nothing and made us feel at home, right down to daily visits from the cat. If you are looking for a quieter place from which to see the natural side of Oahu, this is a great place to stay.

Lynn D., Chateaugay, New York, 4.5.08

Lanikai Beach Bungalow

What a beautiful place - our family had a wonderful stay there - watching sea turtles swim just in front of the house. We got up for the sunrises every morning, swam, snorkeled, kayaked and hiked. It was a perfect vacation! We look forward to our return visit.

Margaret S., Berkeley, CA, 4.5.08

Garden Lanai

The cottage was beautifully decorated and clean. It was quiet and provided a very homey environment. My daughter was not feeling well so we ended up spending quite a bit of time in the unit - fortunately, the garden was sunny and a beautiful spot to read while she rested. Good for those looking to relax and just be!

Melanie P., Reno, NV, 4.4.08

Ocean Treehouse

We enjoyed the lovely house very much! As a cook, I appreciated the well stocked kitchen with all the spices to choose from, the pots, pans, whisks, and ice cream maker. I could go on and on in its praise! My mother-in-law fell in love with the lush, tropical front and back gardens and we had a great time grilling meals on the beautiful back deck. The only drawback we heard from the family was the lack of closet and drawer space for clothing. Thank you for the comfortable space and the cats just added to the charm, especially Socks! Best Regards, Margaret Gwinner

Ocean House

Our family reunion at the Ocean House was everything we had hoped for and more. The house was great, fit our needs exactly, a great family vacation home. I would definitely recommend the Ocean House to others, in fact several family members who live on Oahu that came to visit us, are considering the Ocean House for their out of town guests. Thankyou once again, we hope to be back home in the islands again very soon. Much mahalo - Iwalani Stover and Family

This house made our vacation awesome. It was a great location for my family and we couldn't have been happier. Very sad for us when we left

Gian C., North Begen, New Jersey, 3.12.08

By the Sea Apartment

Having the place to myself, being able to experience the smells, clouds, beach, birds and mountains was the best. Sandy was my customer service. Love her! Experiencing the house by myself. i could sneak up to take a peak at the water and the hills behind me otherwise, I had the pool to myself. It was so private--never felt so free. My best insider tip was if you're staying with not other renters, swim naked as much as you can. Such privacy is rare and with the most perfect weather in the world, it is truly spectacular! Thank you for the most wonderful memories ever, Kelly

Kelly B., Napa, CA, 3.9.08

Garden Lanai

This was the perfect place to relax and really be on vacation...The unit was so clean and welcoming that it was like it became home and we had a hard time leaving. Lanikai beach really lived up to all it's amazing reviews and I can't wait to come back and bring friends and family.

Phuong D., Northridge, California, 3.3.08

By The Sea Home

The house was great and the rooms were really separate. You could hear everything that was going on throughout the house, but that was WAY offset by the fact that the house was perfect in every way. Close to the beach, nice pool area and many outside eating areas. Sandy was so plesant to work with. We also loved the fact that it wasn't touristy at all. Far from all the hub-ub of the big hotels, but still convient enough to get to when needed.

Emily H., Saratoga Springs, NY, 3.2.08

Ocean Treehouse

I can't begin to tell you how wonderful our vacation in Ocean Treehouse was! It was simply an exceptional property, beautifully equiped in every way. From the kitchen equiped for a gourmet, to the tasteful furnishings and homey touches, to the view of the ocean from the huge lanaii, I couldn't have dreamed of a better place to spend a vacation. I can't wait to return.

Rob M., SW Calgary, Alberta, Canada, 2.15.08

THE UNIT WAS EXCEPTIONALLY CLEAN AND QUIET. THE SEA BREEZE WAS MAGNIFICENT. IT WAS PERFECT FOR 2 COUPLES AS EACH HAD THEIR OWN 'SUITE' . WE LOVED IT AND PLAN TO REQUEST IT ON OUR NEXT VISIT.

The customer service was excellent, the beach was beautiful and the watersports available in Kailua are a must. See you next year!

Brent B., Topeka, KS, 1.21.08

Garden Lanai

We enjoyed our stay at this rental, especially since it was located so close to the beach and town itself. It was very relaxing and quiet in the evenings and night as to allow restful sleep. Mahalo

Mark O., Madison, OH, 1.14.08

Garden Lanai

Although this rental was clean and nicely decorated with Hawaiian touches, I don't recommend this property if you're looking for a quiet retreat because there is a baby that lives upstairs from the unit and he/she cried for long periods of time during the nights and in the early morning hours. The crying could be heard loudly from the rental unit which is part of the main house. After 2 nights we decided to move to a hotel for the remainder of our trip. Upon check in to the rental, the owners disclosed that a baby lives upstairs and to use a "noice box" to drown out the crying. There was no disclosure about the baby at the time of booking which would have been the right thing to do. Beware of this property if you're looking for a restful vacation rental.

Cynthia T., Reno, Nevada, 1.13.08

Eola Maikai

What I liked best about the house was the layout, that it was well equipped for living, easy access to the beach and decorated in a pleasing family way. The customer service we received felt very personal and was sooo timely. We never had to wait..negotiate or manoeuver about anything...so refreshing. This exceeded my expectations...you people have so much to do and you make it look easy! The best part of my trip was being with my family and not havin to worry about living arrangements. The best restaurant...in terms of easy access and good food was Buzz's...The best pictures (other than wedding photos) were on the beach or playing games in the house. I can't wait to tell my friends what a magic time we had. There were NO hitches. My advice to someone else staying at this unit would be to trust the Wahinis implicitly and relax and stay at least 2 days longer than you planned to. I would definitely recommend to others is to be in nature...hike and explore around Lanikai and stay at the house too because it's so easy to be present there. The best insider tip was take pictures of sunset and sunrise..kayak to the Mokulua Islands...shop at Ala Moana Mall and in Kailua too. Next time I come i'll do more hiking and exploring the neighbourhood. I CAN'T WAIT TO COME BACK.THANK YOU!!!

Hale Maluhia at Lanikai Beach

The house was lovely and well appointed. The location was perfect. We would definitely rent this home again.

Diane W., New York, NY, 1.6.08

By The Sea Home

House had ample room for our family which was great and the location was a short block from the beach. The property manager and owner were great about quickly resolving concerns. My family had a wonderful time and that is what mattered most. The best part of the trip was swimming with the dolphins at Sea Life Park, definitely worth the money. Best new spot we learned about is Chip and Cookie in Kailua.

As always, we enjoyed Lanikai! Our little house was nice and conveinient to Kailua, all the restaurant like Buzz's great, the beaches great. Not really an apartment for more than two people though, we found it cramped.

Karen is the best!!!!!! Fantastic person. Helpful, friendly. Really knows how to make people happy. Somebody please tell the owner what a gem she is..... Thanks Karen!!! Kids loved all the little gifts for the flight home. I think I saw Bob in the chocolates this morning. :)

Garden Lanai

We really enjoyed all aspects of the Garden Lanai; from the location & ammentities to the privacy. It truly promotes relaxation. Having lived on & vacationed many times on Oahu, it really made us feel as though we never left & still lived there. The best part of our trip was catching up w/friends & locals. To enjoy the local atmosphere treat yourself to a wonderful meal at Buzz's (across from Kailua Beach). But make sure to bring cash or traveler's checks as they DO NOT accept credit cards! Also, go to "The Shack" (outside of Kailua town proper) to catch your favorite sporting events away from home;and make sure to remember the time difference from the mainland & east coast. Depending on the season & sports, games start as early as 7am local time! Also, make sure to buy plenty of snacks & drinks at the Longs, Safeway, or Foodland stores for your stay. Take advantage of the ammentities at the Garden Lanai & save some $$$ by eating some meals from there! And don't forget to sign up at Foodland or Safeway for their price saver cards; it's Free & will save you $$$ too! Lastly, buy the local daily newspaper to keep you informed of all of the local events taking place throughout the island of Oahu & outer islands; you will find many free things to do & see; And you'll be glad you did.

Very nice accomodations. Our only complaint was the construction noise next door that was a bit disruptive. Otherwise we had a pleasant stay.

Lanikai Beach Bungalow

It took me back to the days when I was growing up in Lanikai. It hasn't changed that much, which is the best part. There still is a paradise in Hawaii. We had a wonderful e.xcperioence, and plan to return again.

Bob M., Guerneville, California, 10.12.07

Ocean House

It was great! The family - from ages 14 mos to 72 yrs old enjoyed it thoroughly! To find the house completely 'furnished' was a very pleasant surprise - The views - from the Mokuluas to Kaneohe was awesome - the 'honus' added a very special touch! Watching for them and seeing them was very special... Kia'aina was extremely gracious! He is very good at his job! Needless to say, I will recommend the Ocean House to everyone with large families! It was perfect! Mahalo1

This was a wonderful vacation home. We went with a group of eight others and had a blast. The house is spacious and allows for privacy and alone time. The pool was great and relaxing, the yard could use a liitle cleaning of the shrubbery but very nice. The beach is very close by and the spend as much time there as possible, look out for the Honu that like to pop out of the water as well as the Portugese man of war (jellyfish) that tend to be in the water, don't touch them, swim away. Can't wait to go back! Sandy was a big help and very sweet. The Neighbor thought we were too loud one night but never mentioned anything beyond the second night. All was good. Mahalo Kuuipo

Lanikai Beach Bungalow

As you can see from the photos, the house is right up against beautiful Lanikai beach. We saw sea turtles swimming along the beach almost everyday - right from the back yard of the house! A little night fishing from the back yard rewarded us with a nice size snapper which ended up on the barbeque grill the next evening. The house is very well equipped. All you need to bring is your clothes and groceries. Kia'aina, the owner of the property, lives just across the street and was very helpful. When we called him to make a few small repairs (change light bulb, etc.) he was right on it. The Welcome Basket filled with local treats like Macademia Nut Chocolate and Kona Coffee was also a nice addition. A few reminders about the natural environment. The house faces the eastern side of the island - the windward side. Wind from the ocean is fairly strong and very consistent (it never stopped, day or night, while we were there - excellent for windsurfers.) Noise from the wind, waves (only a few yards away from the master bedroom), and the sun light from the rising sun makes for very early mornings everyday. If you're planning on sleeping in during your vacation, choose a bedroom away from the ocean. The beach is beautiful (voted best beach in the Nation!). However, always remember you are dealing with nature. Our son got stung by a Protuguese Man-of-War (a type of jelly-fish). This is VERY painfull! (I've been stung before.) The pain will go away after an hour or two, but the scare all along his arm will take a little longer to go away. (Something to show-off to his friends when he goes back to school!)

Lanikai Beach Bungalow

My family enjoyed a once-in-a-lifetime vacation thanks in large part to the Lanikai Beach Bungalow. Hawaiian Beach Rentals and the property manager for this rental were professional, attentive and very easy to work with. I am an experienced traveler and have dealt with many hassles in the past. There were no surprises or hurdles in this trip. We came to Kailua/Lanikai for a local friend's wedding and enjoyed being in a genuine Hawaiian town that offered many opportunities for activities, relaxing and experiencing a slower-pace to life. Lanikai is a fabulous beach and the Lanikai Beach Bungalow was a perfect pick. We loved being right on the water, seeing sea turtles, enjoying gorgeous sun rises and opening up the sliding glass walls to let in the ocean breeze. The house has a wonderful classic Hawaiian charm but is also very comfortable for 6 people. The location is unbeatable - I was concerned about the tide coming in and not having any beach directly in front of the house but it was actually an advantage. We could walk on the beach to get to the wider areas of the beach most of the time and not being on the main part of the beach meant we enjoyed privacy. Don't hassle with packing straw beach mats as there are several at the unit. If you come to Kailua/Lanikai, definitely check out the Lanikai Juice company, Cinnamon's restaurant for the carrot pancakes and body surfing on Kailua beach. The 2.5 mil loop around Lanikai makes for a great jogging route. If I had it to do all over again, I would definitely stay for 2 weeks instead of just 1!! Book your trip to the Lanikai Beach Bungalow without hesitating.

Aloha! This is actually Mike's wife Carol! I loved the the trip - from beginning to end! I loved the house and sitting at the dinning room table watching the sun rise each morning. The woman that we dealt with face to face - Sandy - was amazing! She even had her adorable dog Tasha trained to NOT go in the house! When Sandy and Tasha would come to the house it was the best visits! The pool was a huge plus, the lay out of the house was fantastic, the beach was a one minute walk away, the fresh plumeria flowers every morning was heaven, seeing all the various geckos was fun - nothing to complain about at all! I loved having the deck to sun on OR go downstairs to the pool OR go to the beach! People were friendly, the weather was gorgeous, nthe pineapple sweet and I would come back to this location in a heart beat! Mahalo!

Hillside Hideaway

What I liked best about the unit was the view!! It was a treat to see the sunrise behind the "mokes" from every room, especially from the two sets of big sliding glass windows in the front room. The setting is lovely...a peaceful, upscale neighborhood, ocean view, lovely breezes, and just minutes by car from the best beach on Oahu, Kailua beach. Kailua public beach was perfect for us with soft white sand and gentle waves. The unit is comfortably furnished with nice personal things, like original oil paintings, and has a great reading and reference library. We relaxed the moment we stepped inside. The king-sized bed was comfy, the bathroom clean, and the walk-in closet had plenty of empty drawers, shelves, and hangars for our belongings. The stacked washer and dryer were especially handy. We appreciated: the beach basket complete with aqua socks and beach towels, the fresh tropical flowers, and the welcome basket filled with fresh fruit, coffee and Annies Hawaiian Sweetbread. My only advice to someone else staying at this unit would be to bring your own hair dryer if you want adjustable speeds and heat levels. Restaurant recommendations: Buzz's Steak House across from Kailua Beach Park couldn't be more convenient with good drinks and food; Keo's in Waikiki for Southeast Asian cuisine and they have valet parking (a plus in Waikiki); Wai'ole Tea Room in Manoa Valley (a beautiful setting); and the cafe at the Honolulu Art Academy (all need reservations). Insider tip: The Honolulu Art Academy tour of the Doris Duke estate includes admission to all of the galleries. We loved the Japanese woodblock print collection and the Asian Art collections. We are recommending this apartment to all of our friends.

Moana Lani and Cottage

The Mauna Lani is a sensational property. The responsiveness of the customer service team was outstanding. Our entire family had one of our greatest holidays. Thank you!

John S., La Canada, CA, 8.12.07

Hale Moonrise

Hale Moonrise was perfect for our family of seven people. The home was clean and well appointed except for outdoor furniture - only one chaise longue and several plastic chairs. We learned that this home was built for the Royal Family in 1929! So their spirits served us well. The layout gave everyone his or her own space while providing wonderful areas to be together. Of course, the view of the Mokalua Islands was outstanding! Julie provided great service on the day we moved in. We were able to snorkle out in the reef and swim with Honu (turtles) as well as rent kayaks and paddle to the island. rnHonestly, there is one major problem with the location of this property. Unfortunately, it is situated next to a public beach access.("Management Notes": all beaches in Hawaii are public and there are many access points provided by the state, where this might create more traffic it is a wonderful opportunity to meet local families and experience our Aloha.") Regarding furniture, it is planned to be updated in Summer 2008." Our best insider tip would be to snorkel at "Shark's Cove" on the North Shore - OUTSTANDING! Also, go to Chai's Island Bistro in the Aloha Tower (Waikiki side) to have a yummy dinner and listen to the best local Hawaiian music. rnAloha! rn

Michele F., Yuba City, CA, 8.6.07

Ocean House

What I liked best about the unit I rented was the openness of the property. The customer service I received was very good. The best part of my trip was swimming at Lanikai and the other beaches we visited. The best restaurant I found was Buzz's and Zippy's. (we didn't go for restauraunts, but these were the ones we visited.)rnThe best picture I took was of me (us) (haven't checked them all out, yet.)rnI can't wait to tell all my friends that we rode horses in the hills along the North Shore. My advice to someone else staying at this unit would be take time to rest and relax, too! The part of my trip I would definitely recommend to others is on the Big Island, you definitely have to visit the Volcano National Park. The best "insider tip" I received while on my trip was buy gifts to take home at the swap meet. I didn't have time this trip, but next trip to Hawaii I'm looking forward to hiking.

Fantastic location and easy to find (and very private).rnrnThe unit was very comfortable and had everything we could have ever wanted - washer/dryer, lots of linens, wonderful cookware and dishes. It was really like home!rnrnThe owers were very friendly and helpful with restaurant and beach recommendations.rnrnExcellent rental!

Michele L., Kenmore, WA, 7.28.07

Ocean House

The house had a fantastic veiw. There was lots of open space and yet good privacy for the bed rooms. There were enough bathrooms and they were very functional. The was very useable kitchen and it also had the view of the 0cean. The property manager was very congenial and helpful. The property was well located because of the great beach and accessable to other parts of the island.

Jerry R., San Antonio, Texas, 7.19.07

Ocean Treehouse

The Ocean Treehouse was wonderful, the pictures on the internet are very accurate but the house and view are even more impressive when you are actually there. The beaches in Kailua are everything everyone says, the overall experience was great. The easy going lifestyle with close proxmity to the store for food and the full kitchen in the house made this a fantastic experience.

Leslie O., Bakersfield, CA, 7.18.07

Ocean Treehouse

We were amazed that we had "stumbled" by internet onto such a wonderful place to spend our time in Hawaii. It was like borrowing someones lovely home as opposed to feeling like a"rental". The kitchen was better epuipped than my own and the house had all the conveniences we could possibly need. The area was beautiful and Lanikai beech was indeed a short walk away. I was worried about having no AC, but the tradewinds were constant and cooling so we were quite comfortable. The pictures on the net don't do this place justice... it's even better than it looks. Be sure to enjoy every minute of relaxation on the lovely deck enjoying the breezes and the beautiful tropical surroundings. I would recommend this place to everyone.

Rick S., Arlington, Virginia, 7.8.07

Lanikai Beach Bungalow

I would highly recommend the Beach Bungalow. The location was awesome. The pictures don't do it justice. The ocean is steps away. The house was very clean and comfortable. The house is on the windward side of the island, so you will get wind and rain. We were there the end of June and it was a little cool to sit outside on the back deck in the evening. The house has separate AC units in the bedrooms, but they are not in the best location (noisy). I would recommend that the house be stocked with portable fans. There are ceiling fans in the rooms, but unless you had the sliding doors open the family room was a bit stuffy. I loved that the house was in a neighborhood, it really made us feel like we were living like the locals. This is not a touristy area. The locals were very friendly and helpful. I would get recommendations for restaurants, beaches and points of interest from the locals. There are not many good restaurants in Kailua, locals talk about Buzz's, but we were not impressed. Best recommendation is to stop at Costco when you leave airport and stock up on food, Safeway grocery store has a full bakery and deli. Prices seem to be 20% more than mainland. We BBQ'ed alot and enjoyed the outdoors. We absolutely enjoyed our stay. There were six of us. Our three daughters (11-17), one boy (18) and my husband and I. Plenty of room in the house and three bathrroms were helpful. The house comes with beach towels, two boogie boards, two beach chairs and umbrellas. We purchased snorkeling gear at Don Quiotis. Loved that the house had a washer and dryer. I would highly recommend the house and the area (very nice and clean). Lanikai beach is a beautiful beach. We watched turtles right off the house. If you want to swim with the turtles, we found a beach just north of Waimea Bay, not well marked, but about 4 turnouts up the road. Best diving/snorkeling was at Sharks Cove. Hanauma Bay is beautiful, but there are so many people. Very touristy. Best little town with authentic Hawaiian atmosphere is on the north shore Haleiwa. (Shaved ice, unique little shops and restaurants). Don't miss the Shrimp trucks on the way to north shore. The trucks don't seem very appealing to eat off of, but the food was good and it was fun to do it. Best bet is to get a book called Ohau Revealed (can be found at Barnes & Noble, etc.) this guy's perspective is not only amusing but pretty accurate. We called it the "Bible" and took it everywhere with us. It has maps and every point of interest imaginable. I would recommend having a daily itenary. Hit all the points of interest in each area, then you can always go back to your favorites if you have time. Hope your trip will be as enjoyable as ours.

Ocean Treehouse

the setting of Ocean Treehouse is exceptional. the view to the Mokes, the abundant trees and flowers. The home is in great shape. Love the deck, the kitchen, the master suite, the open design. We did the pill box hike again which is so worthwhile. Great views of course. I like to shop in Kailua...Macys, Under a hula moon, etc. I also discovered this time Elwin's Bakery and the toy store next door, across from Macy's. We always hit Island Snow and the plate lunch place. Oiwi is great for "rash guards". In town we love Leonard's for Malasada's and we think Costco in Hawaii Kai is always good to go to. Can't wait to be back.

Susan G., Avon, CO, 6.30.07

Ocean House

We enjoyed staying at the Ocean House. I would recommend that you tell people that beach towels are included. We liked the fact that the house was large enough that our whole family could stay together. The manger was very responsive to our needs and very friendly. Staying on the beach was great.

Great Location, cool pool and place to hang out. Buzz's has some great seafood specials and the soup and salad bar is a great value. You will love it if you stay here, brought me back to hanging out in the beach cottages of my family as a kid.

CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN! Residence was exactly as described and photographed. We arrived to a beautiful welcome basket: fresh pineapple, hawaiian coffee and papaya. View from all windows, priceless.

Lanikai Beach Bungalow

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Lanikai Beach Bungalow. The view is just perfect. Having lived in Lanikai before, it is the ideal place to vacation. Kua Aina sandwich shop on the North Shore is a must, they DO have the best burgers on the island. This trip we took the Explorers Tour of the Mighty MO and that was extremely educational and was great for the kids to take in a history lesson. We hiked to the top of Diamond Head, as well as to the "Pill Boxes" in Lanikia. Both offer awesome views of the island. We had breakfast at the house every morning, slicing up fresh pinapple and other fruits...then we would plan our day. We tried to do the "busy" or "tourist" thngs at the beginning of our stay and tended to relax around the house the last couple days, that worked out great and made the trip end on a relaxing note. Ovarall, we loved the beach bungalow and would definitely stay here on our next trip.

Bret U., Raleigh, NC, 6.18.07

Hillside Hideaway

The bookshelves had lots of interesting things to read, and included several dictionaries and a world atlas as well as little books describing local birds, flowers, and trees. We appreciated having nice dishes and mugs and flatware to use. It was great to have a washer-dryer in the apartment, with soap provided. Lovely artwork on the walls and shelves. The whole place was extremely clean and we didn't see a single cockroach. The hillside location with its lovely view was excellent; the sun came in through the windows in the early morning, but for the rest of the day there was no direct sun inside, so with the ceiling fans it was always a nice temperature. We had a great time.

Philip B., Berkeley, CA, 6.17.07

Hillside Hideaway

The apartment was nice and we had a fun time. It would be ideal if they had a proper ironing board and allowed for an extra car space for visitors and more fans. The hosue was hot and a little stuffy. The ceiling fan in the kitchen doesnt seem to work. We also couldnt figure out the DVD player, too confusing. A better stereo or CD player would of been nice too. I have passed on your details to many people as I would recommend the Hillside Hideaway. We'll be back.

Very nice and comfortable place with a beautiful garden view. We had a great stay and will be back for more.

Ocean House

Beautiful location, lovely setting. Lots of room for the whole gang. We enjoyed just sitting out in the back, looking at the beautiful view and watching the sea turtles. Make sure you don't leave any food out at night!

The house was great! Everything was exactly as indicated on the web site. This was a family reunion and participation in the Pearl Harbor Dec 7 activities in memory of our beloved Dad, Grandpa and Great Grandpa. The closeness of the ocean, the view and the well equipped kitchen and house assisted in making this a memorable occasion! Thank you and Mahola!

Ocean House

My family and I loved this house and had a great time there, celebrating my mom's 50th (Hawaii 5-0!) birthday! We would definitely like to come back and stay there again. The views were amazing, the house had a very unique feel to it, that added that extra special touch to our vacation. Thank you!

Garden Lanai

The download: best location in Oahu, BUT it's also the most rainy and you will have to walk 10 minutes to get to a sandy beach- a very lovely one! Renters are great people, BUT you will hear them upstairs some days more then others. The place is clean and cute, BUT I like most places in Lanikai- The area is cute, and Oahu's best beaches are near. In bad weather, we drove to the other side of the island. The owners are very helpful and nice.

The house and pool were great. The house was sectioned off so we didn't feel crowded. The short walk to the beach made it very convienient. We loved it and would recommend it.

Lanaikai Beach Bungalow was a perfect ocean getaway for my young adult family. We loved the floorplan of the house and the proximity to the ocean.

We enjoyed our stay at the Garden Lanai. It was nicely decorated, clean and stocked with many nice little "extras". A peaceful place that made us feel at home. We would stay there again. Aloha :)

Fantastic views. Great floorplan. Beautiful lap pool. Sound of the ocean at night is mesmorizing. Comfortable beds. 5 minutes walk to the beach.

The house was fantastic. The location is great, it's well equipped, and we never saw a bug (a rarity in Hawaii). Only downside was that the pool was much colder than advertised - it didn't seem to be heated at all. But with the fantastic Lanikai beach just 1 block away, it didn't matter! We loved this house and would love to come back to it.

Garden Lanai

We had an excellent stay at the Garden Lanai. Without even knowing it we picked the best side of the island to be on. The Kailua and Lanikai Beaches were awesome. Buzz's Restaurant had great food. We really enjoyed the atmosphere there. The cottage was nice and secluded. The garden was a bit smaller than we expected. The picture on the internet made it look like there was more. However, it was very cozy. My husband and I had a romantic dinner on the patio. I loved the patio lights. The umbrella lights need a little help (half of them were out). We did have a hard time getting the BBQ to light. Make sure to bring matches. Kitchen was fully stocked. We enjoyed making breakfast all week , so that saved a little. The washer/dryer unit was so helpful. I will definitely pack lighter next time. The internet does not show pictures of the bedroom and I wasn't sure what to expect. I really enjoyed the room. It has bamboo walls and nice decor. The bed was very comfortable.

Hale Moonrise

First, there is no way to adequately describe the beautiful view from Hale Moonrise. Your vista is the ocean and two mountaintops rising in the turquoise water. I could have spent the entire week watching the sea. Next, there was no problem with pests or rodents. I had been worried about that since older comments from guests had mentioned pests and rodents. That was not a problem and everything was clean. rnThe house is ideal for family gathering. We lived in the kitchen/den room surrounded by windows & ocean views on three sides. I don't think we ever sat in the living room which has a grand view too. The updated kitchen was easy to work in and well equipped.

Garden Lanai

We stayed at The Garden Lanai 6 nights. The room was far better than what we saw in photos on the web-site. The garden lanai had everything we needed.(ex.many kinds of kichen tool, towels, iron etc...) The lanikai beach is fabulous. It took about 10 minutes on foot to the main beach, but we didn't feel it was distant. Walking to the beach was rather pleasant. We recommend the Garden Lanai if you want to spend relax time in Lanikai.

Garden Lanai

I thought it was the most coziest place I had ever seen. Even with the little "pitter patters" we heard upstairs, it was a very relaxing place to be. There was everything you needed in the home and the location was great. Going down the street and seeing one of the "Mok" islands was breathtaking. We had a great agent that hooked us up with with great deal. I would use him again.

Lanikai Beach Bungalow

For our family reunion, the house was perfect! We loved the indoor-outdoor living and the "old Hawaii" feel with big windows on the ocean and big yard on the leeward side of the house. We spent a lot of time on the leeward lanai. One recommendation is that you wash out the trash containers that go out to the street -- stinky now. We will be back, and have already sent your phone number for this house out to several friends. Mahalo and A hui hou!

The house was more than we imagined or than the pictures show. It was very well appointed and decorated. To the owner: Thank you so very much for letting us share in your piece of paradise.

Bob and I loved the garden, and the shady back yard too. The guest house was comfortable. every thing else about the place was nice. Loved all the food extras - spices, oil, etc. The washer and dryer worked great! We'd stay again. Lisa and Bob

Ocean Treehouse

Our family had a wonderful time staying at the Ocean Treehouse. The view and proximity to the beach made it one of the most relaxing holidays we have had. Lanikai is a quiet upper end residential beach community, with all the ammenities just a 5 minute drive in Kailua. The short drive into Wakiki (about 30 minutes taking the Pali Highway) gave us the best of both worlds - relaxation, shopping, entertainment and fun. The home is in great condition and had every convenience a family of six needed to make it a confortable stay. I highly recommend the Ocean Treehouse to a family with kids or a even to a couple who would like a relaxing holiday.

Hale Moonrise

The Hale Moonrise was an excellent property for our vacation. We shared the house with another family and with four adults and four children, there was plenty of private space in the house if needed. The children were totally entertained by the activities available, from Bachi ball, snorkeling, kayaking to the "Mokes", and the Ping Pong table was always in use. We would certainly rent this house again as the perfect location for the family vacation. Besides the house, Lanikai is the best and being so far to the end of the neighborhood was so peaceful and quiet. The management people you use, Two Wahines on the Beach, are excellent. Julie was timely, efficient, friendly, and very informative. Mahalo for helping us have one of the most memorable vacations in years.

Hale Onekea

The unit was lovely, and the hosts very friendly and welcoming. We appreciated the basket of goodies and written restaurant advice. rnThe location was the finest on the windward coast, but unit could be improved by a shade for the skylight, a bigger TV and an internet connection. Prospective renters should be warned that the unit is above a 3 car garage, and the automatic doors are noisy early in the morning and late at night.

Being from FL I am used to A/C through out the house, this was the only draw back, even with all the screen doors open, it was abit muggy even with the breeze. The house is in a beautiful location, very quiet... not for those who would like Waikiki! We will be back!

We really enjoyed our week. There is nothing fancy about the cottage, but it is clean and everything works. The view is amazing. It was a perfect vacation.

The only unfortunate part of the stay was the daily, loud early morning construction noises. I guess one can never control the environment to the extent one would like.... In every other respect, the house was great. It gave all of us enough room, we loved the local beaches and we enjoyed being at "home" at the end of the day.
