The location of the rental was fantastic and the owner was very nice. The description of the unit was a bit misleading on the site, as the unit was just an attachment above a garage (and not a condo) and should be not be categorized as a 1bedroom/loft since it's really just a loft with a very low ceiling.

Your home was lovely with Hawaiian decor. I especially liked the way Hawaiian pictures and knick-knacks were displayed throughout the house. The spiraling staircase (not recommended for small children) led to the loft sleeping area which was soothing and relaxing with a big Hawaiian fan overhead. The whole house reminded me of a spa atmosphere.
I would recommend this unit to anyone visiting Hawaii.

We loved how close the beach and ocean were to the house. They were just across the street! The customer service was great, not only from Mark, the guy who handles this rental, but also from Jodi, who talked to me on the phone and really explained the different rentals and locations and everything else! The best part of our trip was just hanging out in the house, napping, strolling along the beach, and watching the sunset over the ocean. The best restaraunt was absolutely one of the restaraunts at The Turtle Bay Resort. The best picture we took was of us in front of the sunset over the ocean. We also took a picture of a Hawaian kitty! They look different than Missouri kitties! I can't wait to tell my friends about all the history that lies in Oahu. We loved Ilani Palace, Pearl Harbor, and China Town. My advice for someone renting this house is to bring lots of clothes and towels. The washer/dryer was outside and a little dirty and smelly. Also the towels were smelly and mildewy. Not a huge deal though! There was a laundary mat twenty minutes away. I would recommend for everyone to visit Pearl Harbor, Ilani Palace, and China Town. Diamond Head was also very cool. The author Dorinda Nicholson, who is famous for writing a book about experiencing Pearl Harbor, told us we had to visit Ilani Palace and China Town. China town had the best Chinese food ever! We ate at the Little Village. Next trip I would like to swim with dolphins. Another cool thing we did was take a glass-bottom boat ride. We got to see the mountain that was featured in Jarrasic Park, the little island featured in the tv show, Gilligan's Island, and float over coral reef with lots of beautiful fish and a sea turtle.

The rental was very clean and comfortable. I loved being able to sit on the balcony and see the ocean. It was just a short walk to the beach which was especially nice for the evening sunset. It is just a short drive to the bonzi pipeline and waimea beaches.

Nice things: The staff with whom we interacted was very courteous. The north shore is a delight. Areas for improvement: 1) beds and sheets -- beds were itchy (bedbugs?) and sheets were rather worn and not fresh. My advice to anyone staying at this unit to stop by a walmart or costco and pick up your own sheets, including plastic mattress covers. 2) spiral stairway to upper loft was very narrow and steep -- not recommended for elderly, very heavy-set people, small children or anyone who has trouble walking.
We really appreciated the gas grill and the availability of the washer & dryer during our stay. The kitchen pots and pans are limited, but mostly enough to accomodate basic cooking needs. Impressive surf at the beach & yummy treats from the bakery down the street.

The unit we rented contained everything we needed and the location was fantastic.Only a minute walk to sunset beach and 30 minute walk to pipeline. The best part of our trip was getting to see a couple of days of the pipeline masters. We also loved staying on the north shore, more beautiful than Waikiki. Not many restaurants in the near area but not a long drive to Haleiwa which has lots of shops, and nice little cafes and restaurants.

the unit was clean, and was what was advertised on the web. It was close to the beach and all we wanted to do. We were happy to see that they left us a soft cooler to use, and the stainless steel BBQ worked great for our steaks one night. The washer & dryer came in handy too, since we were heading to Honolulu later in the week.Overall a great time was had by all" Thanks

Location was excellent - quick walk to Sunset BeachrnProperty manager was very quick to address our concerns about the shower! Thank you. Advice - steps to sleeping loft are steep for older/younger guests - be careful in the dark! rnWe never could get the TV to work - we couldn't find instructions on how to use the satellite dish/clickers. No matter. We had books. rnCompared to other units we've rented, it was more sparsely furnished (fewer utensils, no washer/dryer, limited linens/towels) although it met our needs and was comfortable. rnMahalo!

We loved staying at the "Northshore" part of the island. My family had a wonderful time and the unit was perfect for the four of us. Our favorite place to visit was "Shark's cove" only a 3 minute drive from where we were at. We loved snorkeling and taking pictures of all the diverse sea life at that particular place. My son was even ready to sell our home for the perfect little beach house that we stayed in. The unit had lots of light and many windows to feel the breeze that blew in toward the later afternoon. The circular stairway was a bit much to navigate at times but the loft was very spacious. We visited numerous beaches and played in the sand and surf daily. We are now addicted to the plate lunches served at Ted's and L&Ls. We had breakfast at Kono's frequently where they serve banana and mac pancakes. Our favorite dinner was served at Jameson's and who could forget the famous snow cones all located in the old town of Haleiwa. We are already planning our next trip to Hawaii and had a fabulous time relaxing with the locals.
