Overall we were very satisfied with our rental. We desired to be off the beaten tourist path of Waikiki and have access to a beach and pool in a more private setting. The condo was quite roomy and spacious, but is beginning to show signs of wear and could use a few updates. Most troublesome was no curtain on the upstairs ocean view room, so you will be up with the sunrise. The carpet, especially on the stairs could use a thorough cleaning, and at least one mattress would best to be replaced soon. In spite of those issues, we had a great time, felt like we were home, and we would rent again. This location is very near to the Polynesian Cultural Center, and other north shore locations.

My advice to someone else staying at this unit is to take toilet paper and garbage bags because they didn't provide replacements. There were tiny ants everywhere too and not enough dishes for 8 people (ex. only 5 bowls for cereal or such). The internet was not working but the property manager was very accommodating and promptly replaced the modem box. The best thing about this rental is the view and being on the beach with a pool. We loved staying on this side of the island near the Polynesian Cultural Center. There's a great roadside restaurant a couple of miles south on Kam hwy that was really good. Can't remember the name but they have lunch and dinner plate specials for $6.99. It was great that the rental also had beach towels provided along with plenty of nice bath towels.

we leave a starter pack of toilet paper and supplies. This is not a hotel and guests provide their own paper goods. There are plenty of dishes, they just needed top look in the cabinets.

What I liked best about this rental was the private beach and the washer and dryer inside the condo. It was great to be able to wash wet swimsuits and towels at the end of the day. The location was nice since we weren't really into the crowds at Waikiki. The condo felt safe due to the fact that you couldn't even go up the elevator or stairs without a key. However, we had 8 people and only 2 keys. This was a bit annoying and inconvenient. And the condo was really only set up for 6 people as far as beach towels, dishes, etc. We ended up having to buy paper bowls, plates, etc. in order to eat together. The condo was fairly clean and we didn't have problems with bugs. It was wonderful to wake up to the sunrise over the ocean.

There is a lock box downstairs for your key issue. Leave a set in there and all of you could have access any time.

What we liked best about the unit we rented was that it was very clean and comfortable. It was a plus to have the washer and dryer unit also. The customer service was very good. We highly recommended.

We really loved having the beach right in front of the condo. The customer service we received was excellent! Mark was wonderful to work with. The area where the condo was located wasn't really close to many restaurants. A lot of the local restaurants closed at 9:00 so if we wanted to have a late dinner we had to go into Wakiki which was a 45 minute drive. The only restaurant we ate at locally was Papa Ole's and I would highly recommend it, good food and good value. The way the condo was set up with having two floors was nice....the furnishings were fair. The toaster didn't work, there wasn't a spatula and the box springs were broken on one of the full beds in the first floor bedroom. We also found roaches in the condo.

This condo is located close to many restaurants, they should have asked me for the details. There are 5 at Turtle Bay which is less that a 15 minute drive. There is a shopping center 10 minutes away with 7 restaurants. There is a Subway across the street and less that a one minute walk from the condo. There is also a Mexican restaurant less than 10 minutes away. The Crouching Lion Restaurant is 5 minutes away and it is a very upscale place open till 11PM most nights with live entertainment nightly. As for the missing spatula it will be replaced as well as the toaster that they say is not working. i checked the box springs on both beds downstairs and they are not broken and the beds are all in good shape. As for roaches, well we do pest control as often as allowed by law and this is the tropics where there are roaches. My guess is they saw one or two and think that there are roaches every where. This condo has never had a roach problem and in Hawaii you are bound to seed one or two now and then. As long as you don't leave crumbs and food out you probably will not see any. This is one of 40 properties we take care of and we always maintain our places above the rest. This condo has the best views for sunrise over the ocean and sunsets over the mountains. The beach is safe all year for swimming and snorkeling and there are always many giant sea turtles to see. I personally have stayed here on numerous occasions and found it to be one of our best properties for it location and value.

The location of the unit was very nice, the proximity to the beach was great! We wished the pool was heated. Customer service was very good. Mark returned calls promptly. We loved Kailua Beach Park. Advice to someone staying in unit: North Shore is quiet, and away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. If what you are looking for is a modern updated unit, this is not it. But it was clean, comfortable and we loved the location. Kitchen could have a better selection of utensils, glasses, bowls, etc.
