Many of the comments left stated that their needed to be a/c. We just opened the windows and turned on the fans and that solved any climate problems. The unit was very nice albeit a little pricey.

Great rental property, the unit needs Central A/C, love the fact its away from all the busy area of Waikaki, but glad its a short drive to Waikaki. Overall I would return back to this unit.

I travelled to Oahu with my family including 3 young children. We had a wonderful time on the island. We were pleased with our stay at the Royal Hale 404. The building from the outside looks a little dated, but the remodeled unit was beautiful. We had a terrific view of the ocean and all the amenities of home. The only downside was the fact that there is no air conditioning. The fans helped a little, but when there was no breeze, it got very hot, especially in the master bedroom. The building itself was in a quiet residential neighborhood which was just what we were looking for. It was a short drive to Haleiwa and many beautiful North Shore Beaches. Only an hour from Honolulu and Waikiki, about 50 minutes to the Polynesian Cultural Center (which was suprisingly nice!) All in all, a nice place to stay, but I would definitely recommend installing air conditioning!
