Our family had a wonderful stay at the Happy Kailua Beach House. There was plenty of room for our four children both inside and outside the house. The location was perfect. Just a couple of minutes walk to the beach. The beach was definitely the highlight of the vacation. Our two older children (7 and 5) enjoyed boogie boarding, while the younger two splashed in the waves and played in the sand. The depth of the water and size of waves was perfect for young children. I also loved running along the beach each morning, watching the sunrise. The beach was quiet and clean.
I would definitely recommend this unit to anyone traveling to Hawaii.

The unit itself was beautiful but using the flat screen TV's was difficult. There were at least three remote controls for the TV in the living room and the directions left for us in using it were not very good. There was an ant problem with the unit even though we were very careful to clean up after every meal and not leave food out on the counter. There were barely enough bath towels-luckily there were only five of us not the six we had thought. I was extremely disappointed that our contact Mark Berkowitz was rude to both my mother-in-law and my husband when they called to get clarification on the directions to the unit. By the directions given to us the address would have indicated that we take the second turn on the right once we headed to Turtle Bay Resort but that was not the case. You would think someone in charge of a rental unit in Hawaii would be more hospitable. I would not recommend this unit to anyone.

The rental property was great. Next time I visit the North Shore I will be looking to get back into this unit. Very clean, right next to the Turtle Bay resort at a much better price. With four people in our party we would have to have rented two rooms which would have been double the price. Aloha!!!! See you next year.

The beach house had great solitude and relaxation. Only problem is traffic is bad on the week end. Would definitely stay here again and had a great time. Only problem is the oven part of the stove does not work and the beach porch door needs a screen. Everything you need is supplied for wimming and BBQ and that is great.

great place great location there was almost no one at the beach. we had our wedding the weekend we were staying there and there was absolutely no one there. house is very nice clean and feels cozy. definitely coming back!

We had asked before we left if there were beach towels. We were told no so we added that bulk to our suitcases. There were towels and TONNES of great beach stuff in the garage. Supplies in the house were low. Batteries were dead in the remote control and liquid soap was low. There was also a significant ant problem in the suite. The master suite bed was quite uncomfortable. The unit was quiet and the view was exactly as pictured. We were able to keep the unit cool and the kitchen was quite well stocked. Go to Lankai and Kailua beaches - far better than Waikiki.

This was our second stay at the Kailua Kai and once again we had a fabulous time. The friends we brought with us instantly fell in love with the house and the setting as we had. The water park is a must for kids and Moke's for breakfast can't be beat. Verena was wonderful as always and even though we have never formally met she treats us like family when we arrive. Renting a car during our stay gave us the flexibility to have a beach day or spend a day exploring the island. Very easy to get around. Great location if you have children. We will definitley be back.

The place I stayed is not clean at all. I found some plates not even cleaned. Some lights are not working so we have to stay in dark. Everywhere is so dusty so I have to wear shoes even though wearing shoes are not allowed. Soap container is not pumping. Most of all, dryer kept tearing my family clothes. I was so embarrassed to invite my family to this place. Even though I think I paid fair amount of money for this rent , I don't think my family and I did treated well. I wasn't looking for fancy facilities, but I was at least looking for a clean place that my family can be comfortable.
