Hale O Ke Kai was fabulous! We couldn't have asked for a better rental and the wonderful people that handled the rental were so accomadating. Location was out of this world and the house had everything that we needed. Family and friends came to Hawaii to celebrate our daughter's graduation from UH and it was a perfect house for it. We were able to be together if we wanted and it also allowed for places to be alone. I am definitely planning on renting this house again. Mahalo!

We don't want to say that this rental was horrible, but if you are coming from the mainland and are not accustomed to what the rental contract states as "critters" then don't stay in a rental. "Critters" in the case of this rental, means cockroaches crawling out from underneath the toilet and up through the kitchen sink and flies which started as a couple multiplied over the course of 2 days to about 30 large flies. The beach out front was not very clean and in one evening of sitting outside to get away from "critters" inside we ended up with more bug bites then we have ever had in our lives. The house next door, not on the same property as the rental, had a rooster and was extremely worndown and in shambles. Also, for those of you looking to have some amenities nearby like a grocery store open everyday or a restuarant to have a drink, forget it. This rental is located in the heart of the BYU campus area and stores are not open on Sundays and liquor is not available for miles. Unfortunately, we could not stay at this rental and left after 2 nights of a 5 night reservation. Just be aware that "critters" are the norm in most rentals and if you are not up for them then do yourself a favour and spend the money to stay at a resort or a condominium complex with daily maid service as these do not have the "critter" problems.

Papaya Hale' is a wonderful place. The first thing you notice is the love, care and up-keep that has been done inside the rental and the surrounding property down to the beach (which isn't far from the back door). Gorgeous decor! The customer service we received was exceptional. Everything was either at our finger tips or put at our finger tips by the owner. First time to Oahu and we are coming back and I hope it will be to stay at Papaya Hale'. Thank you for making our trip better than we ever thought it could be .... what fun. Mahalo!

We enjoyed our stay in our Kailua Guest House. All the services we were promised were provided as stated and the entire stay was well worth the cost and we will be doing this again in the near future. Highly recommend this vacation rental service and the guest accomodations were we stayed.

As always, we enjoyed Lanikai! Our little house was nice and conveinient to Kailua, all the restaurant like Buzz's great, the beaches great. Not really an apartment for more than two people though, we found it cramped.

The unit we rented contained everything we needed and the location was fantastic.Only a minute walk to sunset beach and 30 minute walk to pipeline.The best part of our trip was getting to see a couple of days of the pipeline masters.We also loved staying on the north shore,more beautiful than Waikiki.Not many restaurants in the near area but not a long drive to Haleiwa which has lots of shops, and nice little cafes and restaurants.

The Blue Ginger is an outstanding rental - clean, remodeled, very comfortable. Very near a beautiful beach with any beach gear you need available at the cottage. The owners were welcoming and non-intrusive but available for any requirements. What a great stay! We will definitely return to the Blue ginger if we come back to Oahu.

THE BASIC UNIT REALLY SUCKED.

NO BALCONY OR DECK TO SIT ON TO ENJOY WATER VIEW - SALT COVERED WINDOWS WHILE INSIDE DIMMED VIEWS OUTSIDE.

DIFFICULT BEACH ACCESS.

A/C ALMOST WORKED.

READING LIGHT 9LAMPS AND LEVEL) TERRIBLE.

NIGHT CURTAINS BLED LOTS OF LIGHT DUE TO NEIGHBORS WHO KEPT SECURITY LIGHTS ON AFTER AGREEING TO TURN THEM OFF.

SMALL UNIT-ANY CONDO HAS MANY MORE AMENITIES.

SECOND TIME I HAVE BEEN STUNG BY HBR-NEVER AGAIN-AND NONE OF MY FRIENDS WILL USE HBR.

BEST PART OF THIS TRIP WAS LEAVING THE UNIT.

My advise to someone else staying at this unit would be caution regarding people staying upstairs. It was rather noisey having a family of 5 above us.
