Ho'ohu Nani - What I liked best about the unit I rented was that when we finally saw it in person it was WAAAY better than we expected. The pictures and virtual tour made it look pretty nice, but in reality it was phenominal!!! We LOVED the house and did not ever want to leave.
The customer service I received was top notch. Everything from the booking and payment arrangements to the access into the house was effortless to us.
The best part of my trip was my wedding on Shipwreak beach of course:) - and then we had dinner at Tidepools restaurant at the Grand Hyatt. It was so close that we walked home along the ocean front walkway for a beautiful end to our special day. We had debated booking a room at the Hyatt for our wedding night but we were glad we didn't. There is no way the room there for $500 a night would have been anywhere near as nice as the room we alreadcy had at the house- with a walk in closet, king size bed, lanai off our room, huge bathroom with 2 sinks, a jacuzzi tub and a huge walk in shower that you never wanted to get out of.
The best restaurant I found was The Beach House Restaurant and Tidepools was a close second.
The best picture I took was of a sunset from the Lanai at the house - we had a beautiful view of the ocean.
The part of my trip I would definitely recommend to others is hiking the Napali Coast trail to the beach (2 miles) and then waterfall (2 miles). Be warned this is not for beginner hikers though!
The best "insider tip" I received while on my trip was not to take the Napali Coast sailing trip with Blue Dolphin if you were prone to sea sickness. We cancelled that and rebooked a 2 hour sunset sail on the south end and I was still sea sick for 2 hours. The 5 and 1/2 Napali trip would have been awful for me!
I didn't have time this trip, but next trip to Hawaii I'm looking forward to the plantation tubing and maybe a helicopter tour.

Waikoloa Beach Villas L-23 - - The unit was superior, beautifully decorated, all of the amenties (except we could find ironing board/iron) spacious and comfortable. The garage was a plus as well.
- Philippa was super helpful - much appreciated.
- Hapuna Beach was fantastic and just a short drive away.
- Queen's Market Place was super handy and had a great sushi restaurant.

Villages at Mauna Lani - Maile 604 - The townhouse was just as beautiful as the pictures shown! It was perfect for a group of seven; myself, my husband, our 2 children, my parents and my mother-in-law. The lanai was great - we ate most of our meals out there and grilled often. The inside and outside were well maintained. A few small ants showed up after we left some food on the counter - we learned quickly to put everything in the refrigerator and had no issues after that. The resort itself is a well maintained property with several very good restaurants - a little pricey. It was great having a grocery store on the property and just a few blocks away from the townhouse. The private beach for those staying at the townhouses was very nice and good for snorkeling as well. It is definitely more than a 20 minute walk (more like 45) - so you'll want to drive to it and make sure you're there before 9:30 a.m. to ensure you are able to get beach chairs. Everyone is so friendly and helpful! Make sure you go to the shopping area at night - they have a free show each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evening at 7 and 8 p.m. near the water fountain. There are different shows each night which are very entertaining as well as educational. It was great place to stay and I would highly recommend it to others!

Hula Cove - We have stayed at 5 places on our trip. We have stayed at 3 of Hawaiian Beach Rental places on Oahu and the Big Island and found that HBR are great. Even though we are on vacation and retired, I need Internet access to conduct volunteer business and communicate with the grandkids. Hula Cove was the best place on our trip. It was well equipped and the access to the tide pools was fantastic. It was a little far from basic necessities but with a little planning a a couple of trips we managed to eat well and survive.

Menehune Hale - Menehune Hale is a dream rental!! I would highly recommend it to anyone wishing to stay at a gorgeous house that is private and relaxing with the most spectacular view awaiting you every morning you wake up. The house is comfortable and spacious and practical. The customer service was excellent!

Ocean Treehouse - We enjoyed the lovely house very much! As a cook, I appreciated the well stocked kitchen with all the spices to choose from, the pots, pans, whisks, and ice cream maker. I could go on and on in its praise!

My mother-in-law fell in love with the lush, tropical front and back gardens and we had a great time grilling meals on the beautiful back deck.

The only drawback we heard from the family was the lack of closet and drawer space for clothing.

Thank you for the comfortable space and the cats just added to the charm, especially Socks!

Best Regards,

Pikake Hale - Our stay at Pikake Hale was fantastic. There were 10 of us and plenty of room for everyone. The sunsets were fantastic, didn't miss one all week. Downtown Kailua is great place for dining and shopping. Buzz's, Lucy's and Pinky's were great places to get Hawaiian flavors and delicious fresh fish. Lori and Dave were wonderful hosts and there was nothing we were missing at the house. Everything we needed was available. We would recommend Pikake Hale as the perfect vacation home...looking forward to more time in paradise! Thank you, Sharin Geister, Lincoln, CA

Enchanted Pilikino Pono'i Ohana - Great location in a quiet Kailua neighborhood. Close to Enchanted Lakes shopping (groceries), and Kailua restaurants. Clean apartment, nice kitchen for cooking and patio to eat outside. Eliminates the need to eat every meal at a restaurant.

Menehune Shores 320 - The view from the lanai was spectacular and the condo neat, tidy and well maintained. It had more natural Hawaii feel than the large hotels and condos in Wailea. The beach was quiet and the water amazingly warm...good for swimming but not snorkling. The back bedroom was too warm at night...but this was the only negative criticism we had.
Thanks for taking good care of us.

Waipouli Beach Resort C301 - Everything was awesome! We enjoyed everyday we were there. The only reason for not a 5 out of 5 is because we were not able to get a late check-out and we had housekeeping knocking on our door @ 9am (1hr before check-out) asking us if we where leaving yet. Other than that, it was awesome and would be interested in staying again and again!!

"You can't go wrong with the amazing view, private beach, and close proximity to the Princeville Hotel. The condo itself was the perfect size for our family of 3 and had all the extra's that made our vacation easier - snorkles, beach towels, washer/dryer, and video player along with a copy of South Pacific. Our 4 year old now sings "I wanna wash that man right out of my hair" - Thanks for the wonderful memories."
