Village By the Sea BF Condo OV - It was clean and had everything we needed. The only down side was the ripped up parking lot, but other than that, it was fine. I particularly liked eating all the meals on the patio and watching the ocean. Very relaxing! The whole complex was very quiet.
Monkey Business Maui- Kihei Bay Surf 135 - too much to say about my stay in hawaii, it was FANTASTIC!!! the accomadations were awesome, you guys really thought of a lot.. the only somewhat bad thing to say is that the drive up made me think what did i get myself into, but after walking through the door that all went away.. i would definitly reccomend this to any couple without kids or someone looking for a little adventure in maui...
Maui Banyan A Studio - We really enjoyed our stay at the Maui Banyan. The location was remarkable and our vacation was perfect. Thank You so much for making our trip unforgetable!!!
Hale Manoa Haena - Liked Best: Location and the amazing garden view and sounds - oh ya, the outdoor shower (didn't think we would like it but it was a big hit and a must have for our next visit).
Customer Svc: Excellent - we could not open the lock box to get the keys and the office staff were very helpful.
Best Part: the beauty of the North Shore.
Best Restaurant: Postcards
Best Pic: of flowers in Limahuli Garden
Tell Friends: the outdoor shower experience is great
Things we felt were missing in the unit we rented and would have improved our stay:
All remotes needed batteries - we used some of ours while we were there.
We couldn't find a lighter for the BBQ and ended up buying matches.
The gas BBQ was in pretty bad shape - we opted to use the Weber instead and bought our own charcoal.
Didn't see any Windex which would have helped us keep counters, etc. cleaner, better.
Aluminum foil for the kitchen would have been nice.
We almost ran out of trash liners for the kitchen garbage can - it was close but we made it through.
Need a new fry pan - it is no longer a non-stick surface.
There was a limited number and choice of drinking glasses - no wine glasses. We bought some & left them.
Kleenex was not supplied.
Rainbow's End Haena - This is a very nice house to stay in. The view of the ocean is magnificent. It very comfortably sleeps 6. I do not know why there was a limit of 4. We only had 3 in our party. It was nice having the beach chairs and boogy boards. The house was clean and the kitchen was well appointed. Even though we rated this visit a 4 out of 5, it really is about a 4.5 out of 5. Their were two negatives. The first one is because it is Kauai which had a problem endemic problem to the island. The chickens are everywhere and annoyingly awake you at 4 A.M. every morning. The second one is that it would have been nice to know that it is very difficult to walk on the beach in front of the house. You bog down several inches into the sand with each step. We did not have the same problem at Tunnels or Ke'e Beaches. Both are very lovely beaches and quite close.
Puamana 64-4 - Did not want to come back home!
I would have to say i was a bit nervious booking a vacation rental "sight-un seen" but have to say i was very pleased.
Location, location, location was all about this rental. People here where friendly and helpful, no suprises!
Maui is always the best part of the trip always something new to see or experience.
I recommended Puamana to many people that i know, most never even heard of it.
The weather couldn't have been better and the ocean breeze was always welcome in the afternoon, the quiteness
of the compound added to the relaxation part of the vacation, that's why i didn't want to come back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks guys/gals of puamana i will certainly consider staying there again!
Note:
I believe a security deposit was involved in the amount fo 500.00?
please check, this amount may be wrong, thanks Tim Mula
The Lily Pad - The Lilly Pad was better than we expected. The photos of the cottage do not do it justice. The pond and grounds were like a tropical botanical garden and the furnishings, cookware, dishes, towels, and bedding were all first rate. We loved the geckos and listening to the frogs, chickens, and rain on the metal roof at night. The cottage is about 100 yards down a dead end road away from the beach road- so it was very quiet and secluded feeling yet still within walking distance to Annini. The owners lived close and were available if needed but did not intrude. We did feel like it was our own little home away from home. The only drawback was mosquitoes but insect repellent kept them at bay. We have been to Kauai four times and this was by far the best place we stayed as far as feeling like the "real Hawaii you dream about but do not usually find". Best beaches were Hideaways in Princeville, if you can get one of the nine parking places, and Mahaulepu past the Hyatt in Poipu. Most good food for the money is the prime rib at The Bull Shed in Kapaa. Go to the Lilly Pad and enjoy the "Old Hawaii".
Kailua Beach House - This unit was lovely, exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated. The yard looked manicured. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and appreciated the little extras that were provided in the house. Our customer service was all that we expected and Verena was very accomodating and thoughtful. We are all three originally from Honolulu and live on the mainland. It was a return trip for us and we thought it would be fun to stay in Kailua and get away from busy Honolulu. Our expectations were met. We enjoyed Buzz's restaurant very much. Loved the beach access and spent relaxing time there with some wonderful photos. We drove to Lanikai beach and have great pictures of that area. We would highly recommend this unit to friends. The only negative was the street noise of which you have no control. We loved the outdoor plants and fence blocking us from seeing the traffic. Our drive along the north shore was definitely a high light. We stopped and had fresh shrimp along the way and hit Ted's bakery on the way back to try their chocolate haupia. All in all it was just a wonderful trip. We had fun shopping in some of Kailua's gift stores and returned with many treasures. Enjoyed delicious malasadas and sweet bread at Agnes' bakery in Kailua. The three of us, two sisters and a cousin have wonderful memories to share with our families and friends.
Two Duck Inn - we have been home from our visit to hawaii for about one week & we have some very clear & sweet memories of our stay at two duck inn. a high point of our visit was the affability of our "landlord & landlady", marty and gay. they were extremely pleasant. we looked forward to our morning coffee at the pool. it was so quiet and beautiful there. we loved just listening to the birds & gazing at the pristine garden. the "floating chairs" in the pool were an added bonus . . . so relaxing. it was great to be able to walk to the quiet, white-sand beach that was only two blocks away. we gave this rental 4 stars mainly because of marty & gay, the pool area, the beach equipment available, & a comfortable bed. our only negative report of this unit was THE DECREPIT WINDOW AIR CONDITIONER. even in april this studio apartment was 90 degrees inside. we sincerely hope they replace it with a larger unit before our next visit.
Hale Kehau - The house was fantastic!!! I loved waking up each morning and watching the sunrise from my bed!! The amount of "extras" at the house, masks, snorkels, boggies boards, etc.,was an unexpected pleasure. We couldn't have had a better time. We loved the Ono Family restaurant and Duane's Ono Burgers. We will definately be back!
