Hauula Ocean Front Villa - The unit was truly beautiful on the inside, it was great to have a home away from home!

Coconut Bungalow - The only reason for 4, not 5 stars was that you need to bring your own shampoo/lotion/coffee... :) Everything was beautiful!!

Beachfront Hideaway - The best restaurant in Kailua is "Pinky's" (in our opinion). The best things about the unit we rented are location, cleanliness, friendly folks in the town of Kailua. The best guidebook for Oahu is "Oahu Revealed", by Wizard Publications.

Pali Ke Kua 208 - The view from the condo was spectacular. We had some of the most beautiful sunsets not to mention the beautiful view of the coast and ocean during the day. We even saw several rainbows. The bed upstairs was very nice and we slept well. We had trouble with a ceiling fan but the maintenance people took care of that. My advice to someone else staying in this unit would be that the main floor bed isn't very comfortable but the upstairs one is. There isn't alot of extra seating but what is there is comfortable. Don't feed the birds (our neighbors did) or you will have no peace. We enjoyed trying many of the local restaurants; we recommend JJ Broilers, Kalypso, Bubba's Burgers and of course the Saffron restaurant food was delicious. We loved our helicopter ride with Blue Hawaii and the Luau at Smith's. We took one day and drove the road on Kuaui from one end to the other and saw some of the quick sites. Then we went back on other days to see the sites that take more time. We enjoyed the spouting hole down in PoiPu and of course the souvenir shopping all over the island. We took one day and booked a tour (the best way to go) to Oahu and did the Pearl Harbor tour, Honolulu and Waikeke Beach area. It was a long day but well worth it. Then we took the last couple of days and just enjoyed relaxing. Next time (yes there will definitely be a next time) we want to explore more the southern part of the island and take a cruise to the Napali coast and explore more of the beaches and maybe even try snorkeling. Definitely a trip to be remembered. Bring your laptop to down load your pictures each night. We had a great 25th Anniversary!!!

Menehune Shores 320 - Aloha
We all had a great time
in Hawaii. The appartment was great. The best was the big balcony overlooking the ocean. We sat there every night after Dinner for a couple of drinks.
I wish though that the beach at the complex was a little nicer. They cleaned up the beach every morning but the water is not clear and not very inviting. But it is a very small negative as there are so many beautiful beaches in Maui.
My friend got married and I have to say it was the most beautiful wedding I ever attended. 8 am in the morning, the beach all to ourself and the most beautiful surroundings you can wish for a wedding. If I ever ......
The best Restaurant we found was in the Wailea Beach resort at Wailea. It was called Humpalumpasomething. A long name it is. Can't remember. It is built like a classy Tikki Bar on top of a saltwater pool right next to the ocean. It has a waterfall and a couple of aquariums. And the fresh fish is niiiiiiiiiiiice.
Take the time to drive around the island. Don't just hang around where you stay. The north shore and the road to Hana are amazing. A must do. And of course the Haleakala in the morning. DO IT.
The best insider tip I got is about gorcery shopping. Go to Safeway and ask for their membership card. You safe about 1/3 on your shopping. This will leave you with more money to go diving and do all the fun stuff.
Thanks to everyone at Hawaiian Beach rental. They answered all my questions and were very helpful. They rock.
Mahalo plenty and I hope I will be in Maui again soon.

Lahaina Roads 301 - While this unit looks kind of old from the road - the inside of our unit (#301) was very nice. Lots of upgrades etc. The very best part was the view!!! It was so wonderful. The gentlemen that takes care of these properties really keeps things looking nice. He works very hard and it shows!! We had a problem with the DVD player and the rental agents took care of the problem immediately.

I cannot speak to the condition of the other units as I believe they are all privately owned - I just know that 301 is one that we want to come back to again and again.

We will definately use Hawaiian Beach rentals again.

Garden Lanai - Clean, peaceful and well-equipped, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Garden Lanai. The thoughtful extras such as the covered parking were appreciated and the owners and rental agency were responsive to any questions we had. To anyone seeking an affordable, quality, self-catering home way from home on Oahu I totally recommend this unit.

Banyan Hideaway - What an incredible property! We could barely get to any of the "touristy" things we had wanted to do because we just couldn't tear ourselves out of that yard! It is impossible to capture in pictures, but you really feel like you're in the Garden of Eden -- the waterfalls, the incredible swing, and the white doves fluttering down to drink from that amazing pool made it almost surreal. Ya gotta eat though, so at least make sure to get to Pinky's on Tuesday nights for balloon night, a huge hit with the kids.

Kuu Home O Wanini - The Kuu Home O Wanini is a very cozy home with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It reminds me of a small beach house. It is surrounded by lush green vegetaion. It has a wonderful balcony with a partial view of the beach. You can hear the birds every morning. Everything you need is here. It is well stocked with kitchen items and towels, beach toys. A nice home to stay in for a small group. We were very comfortable in this home. Great to stay along with family members who stayed in the Menehune Hale home which is in front of this house and just steps away. The beautiful quality of this home is that you get the mountain view from your front balcony and the ocean view from your back balcony. The wood floors are beautiful. It is so convenient to stay here. It is not fancy, but it is so beautiful with the old Hawaiian charm! It has all the amenities and comforts of home. The beds are so comfortable. The views are spectacular! Thanks again Gary and Hawaiian Beach Rentals! Our stay was memorable and priceless!--------------Chris and Gemma.

Menehune Hale - The Menehune Hale far exceeded my expectations. Believe me the pictures do not really express the granduer and beauty of this place. This house is very grand! I truly love the privacy with each rooms. It is so nice to have my family with me this time. There were a total of 16 of us. We also rented the O Wanini house which is behind this one. The Menehune Hale has separate quarters for each bedroom so each family was able to have privacy with plenty of room. I love the veranda or the balcony that oversees the beach and each morning my family sat to watch the sunrise and beautiful sunset. If you want a quiet and relaxing atmosphere this is the place to be. We have a 5 star time share at Princeville and honestly I would rather stay here. The beach access is convenient and just steps away. Yes, there is a camp ground next door but you would never know it. We are usually the only ones on the beach most of the time. The house has many convenience and up-to-date appliances. I consider it now my home-away-from home. This was my first stay here and I just really love it. You are surrounded by lush green vegetation and beautiful plants and flowers, banana trees and coconut trees. The house has all the convenience of water toys and well stocked towels, shampoo, 2 refrigerators---great for stocking 16 people for food and drinks! Having both houses so close allowed me to spend quality time with my family. This trip was special and this place was absolutely perfect! My children enjoyed watching the birds, geickos(excuse the spelling), frogs, crabs. If you're lucky in the early morning the low tide would expose the reef and you can enjoy watching the fish. One morning I saw an octopus hidden in one of the coves and the next day I saw 3 small more eels. The water is always shallow and great for snorkeling and swimming specially if you have very young children like mine at age 4 and 9. No rough waves to fight against. Just smooth and relaxing. My parents are in their 60's-80's. They just sat in the water edge and enjoyed the view each day. They usually don't go swimming, but they did here because the water was so calming. Menehune Hale is beautiful and so convenient and relaxing. Like I said the pictures on the internet do not do it justice. My family enjoyed their stay so much that we are coming back again next year!!! The house is made of beautiful wood, with gorgeouse tile floors. The suites are roomy and romantic. There are 2 staircases on oposite sides of the house leading to the suites upstairs with their own bathrooms. The grand suite is just outside but still connected to the house. The bathroom is unbelievable......Huge! The view of the beach is wonderful!
I cannot express how greatful and beautiful this house is. My family and I just loved it! We made an excellent choice to stay here rather than a hotel. We were able to be together to spend quality time. THANK YOU GARY, and Hawaiian Beach Rentals for everything! MAHALO AND ALOHA!!!!..................Gemma.

"Excellent aloha and talk story from our host. Everything was what we had expected it to be: great oceanfront view, clean, centrally located for our needs, many activities nearby. Definitely would recommend to family and friends. We'll be back. Aloha, and Mahalo."
