Hale Maluhia Ohana
One thing to improve on is the location of the key lockbox is listed in the material as being next to door. We arrived at night and there is no lockbox next to door. It took a while to locate it but it is on the corner of the house next to drive-way. The other improvement would be to have the address visable from the street. you can not see it from the street due to the vegetation. this was also hard to locate at night. Maybe a small sign next to street with the house numbers on it. Other than that we enjoyed the location and the relaxing atmosphere at the house.

Honu Hale
A lovely house very conveniently located within a brief walk to a sugar sand beach. I would strongly recommend this to anyone - especially families with children for a comfortable and relaxing vacation!! A real feel of Hawaii hawaiian style - not just Hawaiii for the tourists.

Pikake Hale
My family and I rented Pikake Hale 10 to help celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary. We were extremely pleased with the accomodations, the lovely home, and the beautiful beach. The home was a great place to relax after a day of sight-seeing, or to simply spend the whole day playing and relaxing on the beach. Our only regret was that the week went by so quickly.

We had a wonderful time and the location is great, but the place does need some updating and maintenance. Many pool tiles are missing and it makes it look tacky. However the pool was clean and the pool maintenance guy was very thorough in his cleaning. Several of the sliding screen doors kept falling off the tracks. Very annoying. The yard looks like no one cares for it and all the window screens are filthy. It was the perfect size for us and my kids and grandkids loved it. thanks for asking. June Mayberry

This is an absolutely beautiful home. We enjoyed our stay immensely. There were a few amenities which were "out of commission" (one of the two dishwashers seemed to be on the fritz, and the dryer - which is being replaced, was a little squeaky). The outdoor shower was fabulous - and the house was in a perfect location. We loved it - it made our wedding week perfect. Aloha, We had a great vacation. Lots of laughs, sand and sun. Your is the perfect beach house for families with children. We could have asked for a better spot. Would be helpful if small labels indicated switches for various lights. Because we have family with a place on Mokalua, we knew about garbage pickup for Friday and Tuesday but you may want to include that in your welcome book. Overall we couldn't have enjoyed ourselves more.

Waialua Retreat
The pictures did not do justice on the beauty of this location. Very quiet and serene location. All of the amenities more than surpassed our demand. The jacuzzi was ready upon our arrival and having a Costco nearby made it very economical to feed our group of seven. The only downside is the portable air conditioner in one room. The condensation holder is small and with the humidity, it fills up quickly. Hawaiian Beach Rentals was "top notch" handling the reservation, arrival info, and having someone available by phone when we had a question. Don't bring boogie boards, snorkel stuff or other swim goodies, it's all there for your use. Anyone booking this location will not be disappointed. A beautiful sunset, a nice glass of wine, and a beautiful lanai to watch the sea turtles swim by is as good as it gets. Mahalo

Honu Hale
Great place to stay, Short walk to very nice beach park. The veiw from the balcany over looks golf course, with mountains in the back ground. Not having any a/c was no problem, house stayed cool and we had to use blankets at night. We had a great time and if we come back look forward to staying in the Honu Hale again. This was truly a beautiful home! Everything that we needed to make us feel more at home was right there for us. The house was in pristine condition and every little detail was thought of. The location was perfect and the property beautiful. Even though Hawaii has those "trade winds", I still wish that this home had air conditioning in more than one room. But, since the house is only a 20 second walk to the water, I would just go right into the ocean and cool off. Everyone involved with this rental was wonderful and I will certainly rent this home again in the future.

Hale Ma'ana Hou was a dream home! My fiance and I went to Kauai for our wedding and wanted the our immediate families to stay together for the week. We had both sets of parents, two siblings, a brother-in-law and a friend stay with us at the wonderful house! It was a great time! Big enough so we weren't all on top of eachother but small enough that we felt like we had a lot of time together! We loved the pool and snorkeling right out the back gate! Amazing views, privacy and ocean breezes! If I was to go back to Kauai (and I definitely will!) with a big group I would definitely pick Hale Ma'ana Hou again! Well worth the price!

The Pua Iki was a perfect location for several people. The proximity of the beautiful beach was a definite plus. The property was extremely clean and well kept, The only thing that we would like to comment on is that there is no place to sit at the beach front during high tide. A small place near the pathway to accommodate several chairs would be ideal. A lattice screen with landscaping could separate it from the front lawn of the large house. ('Managers Note: Pua Iki is part of a larger estate and is privately situated from the main house and there is a pathway provided for beach access. Beach chairs are provided and can be taken to the near by (less than one block away) beautiful sandy Lanikai beach.")

Pua O Lanikai
We loved our stay at Pua O Lanikai, extending another 3 days whilst there to enjoy it further. It definitely has the best location on Lanikai beach front that provides a good amount of sand and privacy (the majority of the tourists staying in other areas who visit Lanikai beach stop a few houses short of Pua O Lanikai). Pool is great, sunrise views incredible and the house is well set out. Very relaxing to sit out any time of the day to watch the views. Highly recommend you go to Roys Restaurant (about 20 mins drive on the 72 towards Honululu) - fantastic food, views & service & Lucy's in Lanikai. Hawaiian Beach Rentals are also very good to deal with. Hope you enjoy

The Kailua Beach House and Tradewinds Cottage were very nice. The main house was beautifully remodeled and the cottage very cozy and nice. The house is very nice and Verena was great. The only concern was that there appeared to be a person living in a car in front of the main house. This provided some insecurity for the guests.

Kalaka on the Beach
Kalake on the Beach was wonderful. The layout and location were superb! We loved the open air feeling of the home and all the wonderful ammenities. We absolutely loved the home! Our only concerns were the construction work next door began very early in the morning and awoke our guests. Also, we had a problem with someone hitting out rental car and not leaving a note. The damage was extensive and will cost us much in repair.

1) The pictures at the website give the impression of a more spacious room. This was not the case. 2) The divider and the several plants right in front of the garden exit/entrance were very close to the sliding doors of the room. it gave us the impression being tucked away behind a fence 3)Due to many items in the room, too little space for personal items. 4) Despite the fact that the owners live next door, there was no real contact between us and them. 5) Enough towels and enough privacy.

You must be more flexible with your 10 AM check-out time, especially when there isn't a back-to-back rental (as there was NOT in our case). Noon is decent, 2:00 is ideal. Hale O Wailele
We had a wonderful stay at Hale O Wailele. The whale watching and turtles were fantastic. Not to be matched. The views spectacular. Their stereo system needs a bit of an update and/or repair on the speakers (they pop). The pool was too cold to swim in this trip but the decor in the home great!!! We were VERY comfortable!! Dryer has a slipping belt and was a bit noisy. Dryer duct is not sealed. The amenities were wonderful though all in all!!! It would be nice if you could turn the waterfalls down or have just one on at a time. We didn't use them much even though they were cool to have there. Very gracious owners.

Lanikai Beach Bungalow
Well equiped and comfortable home. Unbeatable view. Very comfortable bedding. Enclosed yard is excellent for kids. Two refridgerators! Direct ocean access is only possible during low-tide and then it is still a bit rocky. We did not mind the short walk to a sandy portion of beach when the tide was high. Gas grill was very nice. Enclosed garage was also a plus. Upon arrival, we read the property literature and discovered some great options/ammenities that could have been arranged ahead of time. We wish these options were made know to us during the booking. (Private Chef, Cable Modem, etc.)Over-all a very pleasant stay.

Kalaka on the Beach
The house was beautiful and quiet, the linens and dishes clean. The yard to the beach was big and great for the kids. We were disappointed with the ants in the kitchen and the cockroaches everywhere (at least a dozen in our one week) - understanding that in a tropical place there are cockroaches was mixed with the feeling that no other place we have stayed (also beach front)have we experienced cockroaches... we deemed my husband "the cockroach killer" and his book showed the wear of many battles. I got stuck on ant patrol as they were fast and furious. They came and treated but they were back in 12 hours.

Wonderful location, and very helpful support staff. I would, though, remove the alarm system completely, since it is not functioning properly, and given the rather open design of the house, the beep beep beep that the alarm made every time a door was open was very stressful for us, since we had two twin two year olds napping/sleeping, and were constantly afraid of waking them. Things did break, which happens in such a salt air environment, but Powell was very good about repairing/replacing things very promptly, and all in all the design of the home, and the location, makes for a very enjoyable low-key holiday stay. I thought the house was lacking in general upkeep. The railing on the lanai had several rotted posts. Our 2 yr old grandson found them all. He was not injured, thankfully. The plastic sheeting on the beds was awful. Just rolling over in bed became a very loud event, quite disturbing. The house is fabulous and has a breathtaking view. A big plus was having 5 bedrooms with baths in all of the rooms. Each bedroom has a TV and the beds are very comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped and the house was well stocked with extra towels. A few more lounge chairs by the pool would have been nice. I would also recommend stocking the house with some beach toys for kids since a beach is within walking distance.

Hale O Kip
We had a wonderful time. Hale O Kip is a beautiful well designed, well-stocked home with fabulous lighting & sound system perfect for extended family entertainment & fun. Each bedroom has its own bathroom & TV/VCR. We especially enjoyed the lovely glass-enclosed patio area overlooking the pool/spa on the one side, views of snow-capped Mauna Kea on the other side, the blue pacific & coastline in the distance on the front side & the inside of the home to the rear. The glass paneled accordian folding doors can be opened on three sides and the sliding glass door opens into the home at the rear. The children enjoyed playing on the wonderful lawn area too. The beautiful moon was visible throughout the night and into the day during our entire 6-day stay! We loved the seclusion and felt so safe!

What a wonderful place!!! They really know how to treat their guests and provide all the comforts of home. It would be nice if they had a ceiling fan in the living room, as we found it rather hot, but the cross breezes do help a bit. We would highly recommend this place as a comfortable, beautiful, and welcoming vacation destination.
